Reliable and easy-to-manage data protection
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it offers a complete solution for backup and recovery without complications. The interface is clear and tasks are set up quickly. Additionally, the restoration speed is excellent, which provides a lot of peace of mind in case of incidents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning curve can be a bit steep if you don't have experience with backup solutions. Also, some advanced features require additional licenses, which can increase the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It used to be complicated to ensure business continuity in the face of failures or attacks. With Veeam, I have automatic backups and quick restoration, which reduces risks and prevents the loss of critical information. This gives me confidence to work without worrying about unexpected disasters.
Comprehensive Protection with Licensing Hurdles
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the unified protection for all workloads with Veeam Data Platform, meaning no siloed tools are needed. I also like the simplified management with a single dashboard that lets me monitor backup status, set policies, and trigger restores across all workloads. This is especially beneficial for MSPs as it allows managing client environments at scale without the need to switch between consoles. Furthermore, I enjoy the flexibility to back up a physical server and restore it as a VM in the cloud or replicate a cloud VM to an on-prem data center with just a few clicks, which is crucial for disaster recovery and cloud migration projects. Also, the initial setup is relatively simple and convenient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the complexity and opacity of the licensing. Even though VUL simplifies cross-workload licensing, it still lacks transparent usage reporting and granular cost allocation for multi-tenant MSP environments. This can lead to overprovisioning or unexpected bills.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Veeam Data Platform for unified backup and protection of virtual, physical, cloud, and SaaS workloads. It simplifies management with a single dashboard, enhancing disaster recovery and cloud migration with flexible restores. It's excellent for MSPs managing multiple client environments.

The background operation of the platform means I don't have to constantly monitor it, and it runs seamlessly without needing my intervention. Its stability ensures that I can recover data within a minute, enhancing my trust in its performance. The integration process is straightforward, allowing me to manage everything from one place without resorting to extra tools. The constant backup feature significantly reduces the pressure of day-to-day operations, allowing me to focus on other tasks without repetitive monitoring. Additionally, the initial setup was very smooth and straightforward, with guided options that made it very easy to navigate. Taken together, these features make Veeam Data Platform an invaluable tool in my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that the reporting capabilities of Veeam Data Platform could be improved. The layout should be clearer, particularly with regards to the filters needed to review backup trends. This aspect seems somewhat unintuitive and could be more visually streamlined to enhance usability.

I use Veeam Data Platform for reliable data backup, recovery, and protection of critical workloads, mainly in cloud environments. It simplifies data recovery and backup, operates smoothly in the background, ensuring peace of mind with quick and stable operations.

Backup all VMs on V-Center and backup copy to Azure storage. It's easy to deploy, manage and troubleshoot
