Love Veeam Backup and Replication
What do you like best about the product?
Both Veeam Backup and Replication. Thereby, it includes strong ransomware protection features, such as immutable backup repositories and real-time threat detection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Users often struggle with the complexity of licensing structures, which can complicate cost management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest challenges we face is ensuring that the data it collects is reliable. When data suffers from inaccuracy, incompleteness, inconsistencies, and duplication, that leads to incorrect insights and poor decision-making.
Easy, Intuitive Microsoft-Style GUI
What do you like best about the product?
very easy and intuitive to use, it has a Microsoft-style GUI
What do you dislike about the product?
I am satisfied, I would like the license of the 'entra' part to be more customizable in terms of which users I need to license

solves all backup problems of the Office 365 part, including granular backups

Ease of use. Implementation is straightforward. Daily use and monitoring is easy. A number of features available make it scalable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Errors are not easy to resolve. Log files need to be inspected to determine reasons for backup failure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing backups and repositories is easy. Esp when changing repositories.

Deployment is very easy, especially in the initial setup stage, which makes it straightforward to get started. It operates 24/7 continually without down time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics and reporting features can feel overwhelming and, as a result, may end up underutilized. I haven’t been able to use the analytical components effectively so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stay resilient against cyberattacks with advanced ransomware detection and an immutable backup architecture. Recover faster and more reliably while protecting business continuity. Reduce operational workload through AI‑driven insights, automation, and a unified management interface. Operate more cost‑effectively with flexible licensing and consolidated tools. I like the ease of use and reliability of Veeam Data Platform. It integrates well with our existing infrastructure, making it a convenient choice for our backup and restoration needs. The initial setup was fairly straightforward and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could perhaps be a little faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Veeam Data Platform for backup and restoration of complicated CAD files, providing an easy way to restore files from specific times to avoid issues like corruption or accidental deletions.
Simplified Backup with Stellar Features
What do you like best about the product?
I use Veeam Data Platform for backup, replication, and monitoring with Veeam One. I love how it simplified the process of backup and replication due to its easy integration with hypervisors and applications. The continuous replication solution for disaster recovery orchestration is a plus. I find the Veeam AI, the sandbox, and the instant recovery features particularly useful. It's great that I can try the restore before implementing it in the production environment. The ease of use and the wide open community were the main reasons for switching from IBM Spectrum Protect. The initial setup was very easy, just a next, next wizard.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it limiting that not all features of Sangfor ASV are supported compared to VMware.

Veeam Data Platform simplifies backup, replication, and integrates easily with hypervisors and applications, while offering continuous replication for disaster recovery.
Reliable Backup Solution with Easy Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I find Veeam Data Platform extraordinarily reliable, which is very reassuring. I also appreciate the notifications we get and the ability to generate reports for audits that clearly show what's being done and completed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that doesn't work as well for us is that I always have wished that there was an appliance rather than a warning on a Windows host. Just because of the unreliability of Windows. However, as long as you keep your Windows up to date, it runs rock solid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam Data Platform allows us to back up between several data centers and ensures our backups are encrypted, so we don't have to worry about them.

I also appreciate the wide range of features, especially instant recovery, replication, and monitoring, all available from a single platform.

I find that the initial setup and licensing model can be a bit complex, especially for new users or smaller environments. Some advanced features require time and experience to fully understand and configure correctly. Additionally, the platform can be resource-intensive, so it needs proper planning to ensure optimal performance.

Veeam Data Platform solves the challenge of ensuring data availability, business continuity, and rapid recovery in case of system failure, data loss, or cyber incidents like ransomware. It benefits me by minimizing downtime, simplifying backup management, and providing reliable recovery options that support operational resilience. This allows me to focus more on security and infrastructure improvement, knowing that critical data is well protected.

The guided installation, clear documentation, and good defaults helped our team get started quickly.
