Backup & Restore Capabilities are unmatched!
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam excels at providing reliable, flexible, and fast backup solutions. It supports VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud environments, as well as physical machines, making it a robust solution for diverse infrastructures. The ability to backup virtual machines at a granular level and restore them quickly is one of its standout features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam’s pricing structure is somewhat complex, with different tiers (Standard, Enterprise, and Enterprise Plus) and separate costs for certain features like cloud storage. This can be a bit confusing for new customers trying to determine what they need and what they’ll pay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data loss and downtime are major concerns for any business, particularly when mission-critical data is involved. Veeam provides fast, reliable backups and quick recovery options to prevent data loss and minimize downtime during outages or disasters.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast and reliable backups and offsite replication
Good, Smooth, and Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The Veeam data plantform has been a very efficient system when it comes to restoring VM's for us in a HyperV environment. We have never had any issues with the data being there one we have triggered a restore.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI isn't always the clearest, it can sometimes take a little poking around to try to figure out where everything is when you need to do a restore. Make sure you take the time to document the steps before you are in a data restore incident.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam handles our data backup, backup up our multiple physical hosts and Virtual Machines. We have a very heavy Hyper-V user so it's great that Veeam works so well with Hyper-V Backups.
Veeam is a versatile software suite - a must for any virtualization platform!
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about the Veeam Data Platform suite is how versatile it is, beyond just backups, it can also help us to P2V conversions, disaster-recovery replication and orchestration, bare metal backup restores, V2V conversions (i.e. VMware to Hyper-V migrations, or on-prem to cloud)
What do you dislike about the product?
For companies with a large number of virtual machines, the phasing out of per CPU socket licensing in favor of per VM pricing has significantly increased the cost of ongoing ownership of the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most practical features are included with the basic Veeam license (Essentials/Foundations), it's versatility beyond the mere scheduled backup functionality, i.e. doing P2V, V2V, V2C migrations, makes it a very powerful tool, and replaces the need for additional products to do those tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
Very powerful platform. Add Veeam proxy servers for super fast backups and restores. Allows us to connect to our on-prem vSphere and our Oracle Hosted vSphere and cloud objects. Great reporting
What do you dislike about the product?
Could stand for improved reporting features. Minor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disaster Recovery backups for both on-prem and cloud with off-site replication.
the best friend of your peace of mind
What do you like best about the product?
It just works is the mojo of Veeam, and it does the job so you don't have to sweat it.
What do you dislike about the product?
licensing is not always easy depending on backup needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam just does your backups and replications without too much hassle and you can be sure you'll be able to restore, it is not a schrodinger's backup, either good or bad, it is always good as you can check with surebackup.
Peace of mind with seamless backup
What do you like best about the product?
Once you complete the simple setup, you don't have to worry if your backups are successful. You receive alerts to all successes and failures, and it plainly spells out the results of any failure. Whether you backup daily or hourly, and backup bare-metal or VMware, Veeam and their Support team are there to give you peace of mind. With rapid DR, and integration with all platforms, Veeam will have you back up and running quickly after the worst of failures.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of any negative to their product. It does what it says it will do at a reasonable price. Thank you Veeam!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Server backup and DR.
Veeam is the best backup software for VMware
What do you like best about the product?
I use it every day. Its easy to use and ultra-reliable and their support is top notch!
What do you dislike about the product?
They send out quite a bit of marketing emails about seminars touting their various options and features. This can get somewhat annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a reliable backup platform for all of our business critical data.
Virtual Backups Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
How simple it is to setup and use. The reason we switched to Veeam from a competing product was that competing product lacked compatiblility with some of our systems. Veeam is compatible with new versions of Windows server right away which made Veeam the choice for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real downsides. There are some cheaper backup solutions, but they are not as good making Veeam totally worth the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have full visiblity to our backups both onsite and in the cloud so we know we are protected against disaster.
Great Backup software
What do you like best about the product?
Most importantly, when the backup works, you know the restore will work. That can be a restore of an entire VM or down to a file or folder. I have done both and every time I had to do a restore I know it will work. That is what Backups are meant for, to be restored.
What do you dislike about the product?
The upgrade process has been awful the last two times I migrated to the newwest version of Veeam. When I do my next upgrade, I am hoping this time it will work without me having to pen a ticket with Tech Support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When a disater happens, if you have a backup file. knowing that it will work, is worth the price of paying for Veeam.
