Efficient Research Tool with Improvement Needed for Coding
What do you like best about the product?
I use Perplexity to light up my capacity on research, and it's pretty easy to set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface refreshes by itself, which is very annoying. For coding, I have to copy and paste the code back and forth since it doesn't integrate directly into my project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity for working on my ideas, like deciding which business to start, and it helps me with coding the app and developing a startup business plan.
Versatile Models, Large Context, and Smooth API Access
What do you like best about the product?
There are lots of models available for different types of work, and the large context resources can handle what I need. It’s also a great way to connect with an API.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is higher, and sometimes the responses don’t feel well-grounded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this to solve lots of geometry and match problems, along with coding.
Flexible AI Boosts Efficiency Despite Export Hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
I use Perplexity for work efficiency as an institutional financial investor. It speeds up my work by taking care of the boring pieces for me. I appreciate its flexibility, conversational approach, and ability to research quickly, making it act as a better search engine. The initial setup of Perplexity was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the output is not exportable in an Excel format. Also, it can use older data that does not reflect the day’s news, which makes it less efficient and requires more time for me to accomplish my tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Perplexity enhances my work efficiency as an institutional financial investor, speeding up tasks like Excel coding and PDF review. Its flexibility and quick research capabilities make it a better search engine, handling tasks I find boring.
Efficient and Reliable with Comprehensive Model Access
What do you like best about the product?
I use Perplexity for almost everything, like research, summarizing, and especially the AI browser Comet. It saves me a lot of time and takes away the manual work. I think it does a really good job of quoting and crediting reliable sources. I like the UI, flexibility, and source quoting. It's great that you can use almost all models in the market and have all LLMs in one subscription.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is slightly higher than the competition.

Essential Tool for Technical Searches
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Perplexity gives me quite comprehensive answers in the format I request. It is especially useful for searching the state of the art of a technology with bibliography in APA format, using only peer-reviewed literature. The results obtained are excellent, and I only have to make small modifications to use them in my projects. I also appreciate the ease of initial setup, which was very simple. I switched from ChatGPT to Perplexity because I was given the Perplexity fellowship and started getting better results.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perplexity needs prompts that greatly limit the sources and the response to approximate what I want. Additionally, the creation of files and applications generates files that are not useful, for example, they come in a txt format which is not useful. It should present the files in other more common formats.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity for bibliographic searches and state-of-the-art reviews in deep mode, and it helps me with technical standards. The responses are complete and in the format I request, which is excellent for my projects, requiring only small modifications.
Effortless Research and Workspace Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I love the assistant and deep research capabilities of Perplexity, it's great with citations and updated data, including news. It helps me do research in the background while I'm working on Google Docs and analysis. It cross-checks my work and assists with projects. Using it makes me aware and fills in knowledge gaps. Additionally, the initial setup of Perplexity was very easy for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the assistant could be slightly smarter, and the adding of different widgets on my home screen could be improved.

Perplexity helps me do research in the background while working on docs, cross-checks my work, and fills in knowledge gaps, assisting me with projects.

We can either use the "Best" option if opt for a model we know is more suitable for the task.
It is also possible to do comparison.
The enterprise subscription is also great to protect intellectual property and sensitive data.

Its thorough sourcing capabilities, the Deep Research, and the ability to create systems and repeatable routines (through Spaces and Tasks)

In-depth desk research at scale. Competitive and brand audits, news curation and summarization. Access to multiple LLMs in one affordable platform.

I really like Perplexity's ability to deliver clear, concise answers with cited sources. Grounded AI for Strategic Product Development
What do you like best about the product?
When I started using Perplexity, I really liked that I could reference where it got its answers from, providing a sense of groundedness that helped me choose Perplexity over other AI bots. Over time, I appreciated the ability to have different models available on Perplexity. The availability of the latest models immediately after their launch is also something I highly value. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Image generation is something which I feel Perplexity lacks. It's not as good as Gemini. The fact that it can't generate PDFs well enough is another issue. I know they can generate PDFs and docs now, but I have issues a lot of times when they said they generated something, but it never actually was generated. There are a lot of integrations available already, but I would like more such as Snowflake.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Perplexity to solve product strategy issues, design roadmaps, ideate new features, and perform competitive analysis, including researching competitors' market strategies and customer insights.
