Easy and intuitive expense management software

  • May 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp makes it easy to record and manage expenses while I'm on the go via SMS. I love how Ramp texts me after I use my card, prompting me to upload a receipt and then providing a reason for the transaction. I love how they suggest transaction reasons and allow me to provide my own. What might normally take minutes per transaction after the fact (ie: taking photos of my receipts, recording the date, time, and purpose, manually uploading the receipts via web, etc) now takes seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love the ability to verify or edit transaction amounts via SMS. A challenge I've run into while traveling for work is that at certain restaurants, my Ramp card is charged before I add the tip. This means that when I receive an SMS message for the transaction, it does not include the full amount after tip. I wish I could edit the transaction to include the tip since the receipt actually matches the amount plus tip (not the lower amount)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expense and travel management on the go; logging expenses in seconds right after I've completed a transaction vs. days/weeks afterwards when I may have forgotten about the transactions, lost receipts, etc

What do you like best about the product?
The website is very fast to use. receipts show up as soon as your transaction goes through allowing you to review the transaction quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Information on the Phone App is harder to find such as virtual credit card details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very fast to use. All transactions are done on the app so i no longer have to keep a spreadsheet of expenses.

Easy to Use and Easy to Understand

  • May 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp's card function is easy to use and attaching invoices/receipts make documentation a breeze. Live and recorded webinars make it easy to configure and implement. Customer Support is always responsive and the follow up is outstanding. If a support agent isn't able to provide a solution, you can bet they'll follow up.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Bill Pay a payment made outside of Ramp doesn't integrate to the ERP accounting system our clients use and that creates double work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking expense documentation is easy although developing employee (and management habits) for recording receipts and invoices is difficult. The app does make it easy to capture on the spot.

Great option for credit cards in churches

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the categorization and uploading of receipts in addition to the ease of finding and seeing transactions makes it a great option for easy use. On top of that, an individual's SSN is not required to have these cards, which make them a great option for churches.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much automation in Ramp, which is great, as long as it works well. Ramp hasn't been detecting receipts well in my connected email account to automatically upload to posted Ramp transactions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplicity of purchasing among several individuals in a church without a required SSN for users

  • April 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to to use. When you make a purchase with your ramp card, you instantly get a text messaging asking to fill in the proper information and a photo of the receipt if it's required. The app UI is intuitive and quick. Easily the best expense reporting software I've used.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could set the default field values for thing that you have to select for each transaction instead of having to select everything each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Ramp card and App make it easy for me to make purchases on my company card and properly report them.

Efficiencies gained in coding and enhanced visibility

  • April 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp has allowed us to build coding rules in several different possible combinations to eliminate the need to code each individual transactions. It also suggests rules for you as it learns over time which is super cool. We have gained significant visibility into our spend which we then load into Power BI and layer it into our overall reporting dataset. Ramp has a lot of solid features for collaboration on specific transactions and great spend control capabilities. They also seem to iterate quickly on product build and take feedback very seriously.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not a lot of downsides to Ramp that we have seen so far, and gaps are typically addressed quickly. Sometimes the integrations for Outlook and such feel hit or miss, but it is getting better. The homepage can be sometimes hard to navigate and I wish there was a better log of all interactions in the tool so you had a one stop shop to avoid forgetting things from a few days ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were coding individual transactions and now we are only coding things that there are not rules built around and reviewing the automated results of the rules. It is also helping with reporting visibility and approval workflows.

Receipt Capture Game Changer

  • April 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Receipts are like the left sock that seems to just disappear despite your best efforts to keep up with them. I charge on my Ramp card and within seconds I get a text asking to snap a picture and reply to the text. No more lost receipts! Besides this miraculous functionality, coding and approving is a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ramp did everything it can do to think about the end user's pain points and got rid of them. I can't think of anything that I dislike about Ramp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of receipts and all the administrative time it takes to manage employee spending, tracking, and coding are the things Ramp solves.
