Why It’s Loved:
You can see and manage spending as it happens, not at the end of the month.
Custom spend limits, merchant restrictions, and real-time alerts give tight control without micromanaging.
Managers can pre-set policies that auto-enforce compliance (e.g. no alcohol, no weekend spend).
✅ Benefit:
Saves time and money by reducing surprise charges, fraud, and policy violations.
🤖 2. Automation of Expense Management
Why It’s Loved:
Ramp automates receipt collection, categorization, and policy enforcement.
No more chasing receipts or filling out clunky monthly reports.
It uses AI to detect duplicate charges, unapproved merchants, and suspicious spend patterns.
✅ Benefit:
Dramatically reduces time spent on manual finance admin—especially helpful for fast-scaling teams.
🧠 3. Smart Integrations with Finance Stack
Why It’s Loved:
Seamlessly integrates with tools like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Slack, and HR systems.
Real-time syncing of transactions, GL codes, and departments.
✅ Benefit:
Cuts hours of manual reconciliation and ensures cleaner books for finance teams.
🚀 4. Speed of Card Issuance & Flexibility
Why It’s Loved:
Instantly issue virtual or physical cards to employees, vendors, or contractors.
Temporary or project-specific cards help contain spend and add accountability.
You can tie cards to specific budgets or vendors.
✅ Benefit:
Enables more agile operations—especially useful for marketing campaigns, travel, or distributed teams.
💡 5. Insights & Savings Opportunities
Why It’s Loved:
Ramp helps identify duplicate software subscriptions, unused licenses, and negotiation opportunities.
Has a built-in savings insights dashboard, which can flag wasteful spend.
✅ Benefit:
Acts like a spend consultant baked into the platform—leading to real cost savings.
🎯 6. User-Friendly Interface
Why It’s Loved:
Clean, modern UI that’s easier to use than legacy systems (e.g. Concur, Expensify).
Employees can submit receipts or manage cards in a few taps via web or mobile.
✅ Benefit:
Reduces training and support burden—employees actually use the tool as intended.

What do you dislike about the product?
🔄 1. Limited Customization for Complex Workflows
Issue:
While Ramp is streamlined and easy to use, some users find it less flexible for complex approval chains, multi-entity setups, or unique accounting rules.
Custom routing or nuanced workflows may require workarounds.
⚠️ Impact:
May not meet the needs of larger or highly-regulated enterprises with more advanced requirements.
🔢 2. Limited International Support
Issue:
Ramp is currently U.S.-only, with limited functionality for international vendors, currencies, or employees.
Foreign transactions are subject to FX fees and may have compliance issues.
⚠️ Impact:
Not ideal for global teams or companies with international operations or suppliers.
💵 3. No Credit or Float Options
Issue:
Ramp is a charge card, meaning the balance must be paid in full every month.
Unlike traditional credit cards, it doesn’t offer payment terms, financing, or revolving credit.
⚠️ Impact:
Not suitable for startups or businesses looking for cash flow flexibility through credit lines.
📉 4. Analytics Are Good, but Not Deep
Issue:
Ramp’s analytics provide useful high-level insights but lack the depth of dedicated financial planning tools.
Some users report limited ability to customize reports or create granular spend forecasts.
⚠️ Impact:
Finance teams may need to export data and work externally in Excel or FP&A tools.
🧾 5. Receipt Enforcement Sometimes Too Rigid
Issue:
Ramp is very strict with receipt policies; it automatically locks cards if receipts aren’t submitted within a set time.
While this enforces compliance, it can feel inflexible or punitive for some users.
⚠️ Impact:
Can disrupt workflows if cards are paused for minor or delayed compliance issues.
📱 6. Mobile App Limitations
Issue:
While improving, the mobile app lacks full desktop parity, particularly for administrators.
Some users find mobile card issuance or approvals slightly clunky.
⚠️ Impact:
Less ideal for finance teams or execs who work frequently from mobile.

The best Corporate Application I've ever used is RAMP
What do you like best about the product?
It's incredibly easy to upload a receipt on the fly and wrap up all my expenses on the spot. I've never had a full trip and all the rides/meals take more than 5 minutes from start to finish.
Before RAMP, I hated every system I'd ever tried to use so much that I've easily swallowed over $100K of expenses during my career just to avoid the paperwork. But with Ramp, I finish everything I do as it happens because it's too easy not to just do it on the spot.

What do you dislike about the product?
I can think of nothing they would need to improve. It's a fantastic app and I've never even LIKED any other corporate app I've been forced to use in a 30 year career. RAMP is the first one I've ever ENJOYED using.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I get all my business expenses taken care of on the fly.
