Makes turning in receipts a breeze.

  • September 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to take a photo of my receipt and upload it visually immediately after a purchase. Now I don't have to keep track of my paper receipts, which I often lost, etc. Also, as a manager, it's super easy for me to review and approve my employees' purchases. I also like the physical and digital card options. Also super easy to get a new number should fraud happen. It also allows us to give someone a temporary card number so they can't have it for long-term.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly don't have any issues. It's been great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
People get their receipts in much better than they used to.

I can't think og anything that I dislike about Ramp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp helps me easily get approved and reimbursed for ad-hoc expenses mostly related to customer travel.

Sometimes it takes some time for the transaction to appear; even though I already have the receipt.

Working on speed. Processing the transaction. Sometimes I have the receipt and not the transaction. I have to wait till a later time.

Hi minimum bank deposits need to get started is a hurdle for very small businesses.

Simply the Best

What do you like best about the product?
Makes accounting easy and users (admins and employees) find it easy it use and instills a high level of compliance and accounting reporting standards throughout organization. The Ramp team has thought of everything before I can even ask. As a CPA I find Ramp to be one of the best tools I've used. It is a mandatory tool for any company or controller that wants efficient accounting operations. I like how flexible the tools and policies are that I can create within Ramp. It also has many neat features I don't have enough time to discuss. One of them is I can set alerts via email if a transaction is over a certain dollar value or is executed on the weekend so we can investigate as needed. I am also limit how credit card spend it used by only allowing certain merchants or merchant categories on the card set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dislikes at the moment. When I do find something I dislike, I ask my CSM to put in a product update. Their Ramp Travel feature still needs more work to build it out, but I am happy to wait for it. I already implemented it. Great value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp solves the problem of wasted time spent on month end close in SO many ways. Ramp automates credit card coding and syncing transactions perfectly to speed up our credit card reconciliation process. For AP, there are so many helpful tools from getting everything pre-popluated by Ramp (GL codes, ACH info, etc) and the sync works great. I love how everything related to spend we have consolidated into one singal platform. Makes it easy for me to control and easy for my employees to know where to go.

Easy to Use

  • August 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can text receipts, the interface supports Google SSO, the web app looks the same as the mobile app (both optimized) so there isn't anything that is confusing about going between the two. I love the drag and drop feature to add documents and also it is easy to replace documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
This may not be an issue for RAMP specifically, but VoIP systems like RingCentral do not allow SMS between marketing numbers (5 digit numbers) so I have to use my personal phone number to submit expenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to reconcile the spend on my company card with appropriate account coding. It used to take me an hour to copy receipts, enter coding in a spreadsheet and then send the file to our book keeper. It woudl happen after we received our statements unless we signed up for online account access to audit throughout the month. With Ramp I can complete this task and real time and prevent a backlog of tracking.

No More file folders full of reciepts

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can see where expenses are at a click of a button. I can search for an expense, sort by card holder, by date, by expense type, by vender name, and find what I need quickly. Plus the cash back is a big help in our bottom line. I do accounting at our church and processing credit cards used to take hours and lots of paper receipt lying around and in our files were an eye sore. Card holder now can put in the reason for charge, upload the receipt and enter an account expense code within seconds of charge happening. No more lost receipts. Love the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish I had made the shift to Ramp earlier. No downside I have found yet with Ramp.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time spent entering our credit card expense into the GL has been cut by more than half.

What do you like best about the product?
💳 1. Real-Time Expense Visibility & Control
Why It’s Loved:
You can see and manage spending as it happens, not at the end of the month.

Custom spend limits, merchant restrictions, and real-time alerts give tight control without micromanaging.

Managers can pre-set policies that auto-enforce compliance (e.g. no alcohol, no weekend spend).

✅ Benefit:
Saves time and money by reducing surprise charges, fraud, and policy violations.

🤖 2. Automation of Expense Management
Why It’s Loved:
Ramp automates receipt collection, categorization, and policy enforcement.

No more chasing receipts or filling out clunky monthly reports.

It uses AI to detect duplicate charges, unapproved merchants, and suspicious spend patterns.

✅ Benefit:
Dramatically reduces time spent on manual finance admin—especially helpful for fast-scaling teams.

🧠 3. Smart Integrations with Finance Stack
Why It’s Loved:
Seamlessly integrates with tools like NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Slack, and HR systems.

Real-time syncing of transactions, GL codes, and departments.

✅ Benefit:
Cuts hours of manual reconciliation and ensures cleaner books for finance teams.

🚀 4. Speed of Card Issuance & Flexibility
Why It’s Loved:
Instantly issue virtual or physical cards to employees, vendors, or contractors.

Temporary or project-specific cards help contain spend and add accountability.

You can tie cards to specific budgets or vendors.

✅ Benefit:
Enables more agile operations—especially useful for marketing campaigns, travel, or distributed teams.

💡 5. Insights & Savings Opportunities
Why It’s Loved:
Ramp helps identify duplicate software subscriptions, unused licenses, and negotiation opportunities.

Has a built-in savings insights dashboard, which can flag wasteful spend.

✅ Benefit:
Acts like a spend consultant baked into the platform—leading to real cost savings.

🎯 6. User-Friendly Interface
Why It’s Loved:
Clean, modern UI that’s easier to use than legacy systems (e.g. Concur, Expensify).

Employees can submit receipts or manage cards in a few taps via web or mobile.

✅ Benefit:
Reduces training and support burden—employees actually use the tool as intended.
What do you dislike about the product?
🔄 1. Limited Customization for Complex Workflows
Issue:
While Ramp is streamlined and easy to use, some users find it less flexible for complex approval chains, multi-entity setups, or unique accounting rules.

Custom routing or nuanced workflows may require workarounds.

⚠️ Impact:
May not meet the needs of larger or highly-regulated enterprises with more advanced requirements.

🔢 2. Limited International Support
Issue:
Ramp is currently U.S.-only, with limited functionality for international vendors, currencies, or employees.

Foreign transactions are subject to FX fees and may have compliance issues.

⚠️ Impact:
Not ideal for global teams or companies with international operations or suppliers.

💵 3. No Credit or Float Options
Issue:
Ramp is a charge card, meaning the balance must be paid in full every month.

Unlike traditional credit cards, it doesn’t offer payment terms, financing, or revolving credit.

⚠️ Impact:
Not suitable for startups or businesses looking for cash flow flexibility through credit lines.

📉 4. Analytics Are Good, but Not Deep
Issue:
Ramp’s analytics provide useful high-level insights but lack the depth of dedicated financial planning tools.

Some users report limited ability to customize reports or create granular spend forecasts.

⚠️ Impact:
Finance teams may need to export data and work externally in Excel or FP&A tools.

🧾 5. Receipt Enforcement Sometimes Too Rigid
Issue:
Ramp is very strict with receipt policies; it automatically locks cards if receipts aren’t submitted within a set time.

While this enforces compliance, it can feel inflexible or punitive for some users.

⚠️ Impact:
Can disrupt workflows if cards are paused for minor or delayed compliance issues.

📱 6. Mobile App Limitations
Issue:
While improving, the mobile app lacks full desktop parity, particularly for administrators.

Some users find mobile card issuance or approvals slightly clunky.

⚠️ Impact:
Less ideal for finance teams or execs who work frequently from mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
💰 1. Manual, Slow Expense Management
The Problem:
Traditional expense systems require:

Manually submitting receipts and reports

Approvals through email

Time-consuming reconciliation by finance teams

How Ramp Solves It:
Automates receipt collection via email and SMS

Categorizes and flags spend automatically

Lets admins approve or deny in real-time

Syncs directly to accounting tools (e.g. QuickBooks, NetSuite)

✅ Benefit to You:
Zero manual reporting

Finance and employees save hours weekly

Near-instant visibility into who spent what, where, and why
