Ramp is a Game Changer

  • July 21, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
Everyone in our credit card program loves Ramp. There are so many challenges that our Ramp Program solves: First, it eliminates the concept of a lost receipt. Being able to either text or email receipts makes it so convenient even the most disorganized team members are getting this right. Next, the ability to add memos and tag transactions to the expense categories that work for our business, saves us a lot of time. Coding expenses in our accounting software is a breeze now. Also, being able to assign cards either physically or virtually is a great feature. It keeps us from sharing card information amongst our team members and eliminates the security risk. The administration tools available are intuitive and make working with card transactions super-efficient.

Have you ever just used a website and felt like they really get it? That's the feeling I get when I use Ramp.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've thought about this question and I cannot come up with anything that I dislike about this product. It's made my life personally so much easier and the fact that my team raves about it is a big plus. It is often you find a service that everyone likes; IT, Accounting, HR, Sales, everyone loves the added convienience of Ramp! There is nothing that I dislike about this program they way it is today.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First and foremost, lost receipts are a thing of the past. I remember a time we had a team member traveling and they lost receipts for an entire trip. They spent hours reaching out to restaruants and hotels asking for reprints of receipts. A big task, but necessary to meet our compliance requirements. Secondarily, being able to issue virtual cards is a big convienence and keeps our team members from sharing cards. It's also helping our accounting team be more efficient in processing and coding transactions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ramp is a game-changer for your business. The program solves so many challenges you experience with a traditional credit card program. It's advanced, high-tech, and a really cool experience for something so mundane.

Blown away after only a few days of use!

What do you like best about the product?
- Onboarding is quick and smooth (as an executive who's busy at a fast-growth SaaS company, the onboarding is super well designed. I can tell the UX journey is super well thought out.) Definitely a product-first company.
- Easy to use interface
- Slack integration makes it extremely fast and easy for my direct reports to securely request cards and for me to approve them on the fly
What do you dislike about the product?
- Little too many transactional email notifications (It's easy to adjust, but it's a little heavy for a new user). Wish I could move over some of their transactional emails to being off / delivered over Slack, or more grouped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a fast-growing SaaS company doing $20M/year, our method of making payments was not being aided by software. We were using credit cards issued by a bank, which had nice cashback but gave little security/real-time visibility into transactions. Our team is growing fast, so the ability to quickly and safely issue methods of payments to team members has is being an increasing need, which is now possible. To my understanding, our finance team has also been helped because it helps pre-automate some of the monthly financial tasks in Quickbooks.

Best way to simplify company card usage

  • July 16, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The item we like the best is our employee's ability to text or email receipts for purchases. Also, the auto verification feature makes the process straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to see better reporting. Currently, the only options are the monthly statement and daily digest. Our management team reviews expenses weekly, so having the ability to automate a report for this period would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having all receipts turned in quickly to be reviewed by accounting staff has been the best benefit. Instead of having one person track everyone's receipts, each employee is now responsible. The accountability that the Ramp platform provides is the most significant benefit for us.

Simple Expense Control

  • July 15, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp makes it easy to have full control over expense spending, receipt capture and employee card control. Employees love the simple text capture and assignements of memos via text. Managers enjoy employee spend control via spend limits or vendor limits.
Cash back is simple and straing forward. No complex levels of various cash back percentages.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only difficulty we have run into is trasnaction disputes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp helps us address vendor and employee spend control and reporting. Review of spending by vendor or employee has greatly help us quickly review where spend is going. We use to have to keep track of what receipts were missing or dela with lost receipts, since using Ramp receipt capture has simplified with little to no manager input.

Purchases and expensing made EASY

  • July 13, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp has changed the way my company makes purchases and tracks expenses. Each time a person makes a purhcase, Ramp sends an e-mail and SMS reminding the purchaser to upload their receipt. Then with their awesome AI, they match the reciepts to the transactions. We also like that employees can submit expenses for reimbursement on the one off that they had to buy something with their own funds or they need to be reimbursed for mileage. They have integrations with our financial software too to make end of month reconcilitation a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I havne't found anything to dislike. The Ramp team has been great about responding to requests and working with us as we implemented their system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using to keep track of receipts with great success. There is a lot less reminders going out from our finance team. Ramp sends the reminders automatically. We're using it for expense reimbursments. Once an employee submits their request, I can approve it and Ramp immedialty submits an ACH transaction to pull the money from our account and deposit it into the employee account. Easy peasy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to improve your expense tracking, purchase card program or reimbursement system, then Ramp is the way to go. They quickly got our company approved and the onboarding process was straitforward. Their team can be with you every step of the way as you implement Ramp into your organization. We like the Ramp allows us to give our employees plenty of leeway and autonomy, but still provides lots of oversight. It's amazing how granular you can be when setting up cards, both physicial and virutal (each employee can have 100 virtual cards which is cool).

Great product that keeps getting better

  • July 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Unlike competing products, Ramp lets us flexibly manage budgets on a per-card basis. They also have a better integration with QBO than their competition. Additionally, the Slack integration is awesome. We can easily monitor transactions or transactions over a certain threshold in real-time. The rewards program is also great and very easy to work with. Cashback against your next statement is hard to beat.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. We have transitioned from a competitor and that transition has been seamless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing employee spend and expense reports is basically a nightmare. We started with an expense management vendor and that helped some. Then we transitioned to a spend management card that required us to manage budgets at a level above the cards themselves. Their rewards program was complex and cumbersome. Ramp solves these problems. Automatic rewards and budgets managed at the card level are much easier to work with. The ability to track spend in real-time in Slack is awesome. Being to request and approve cards within Slack is also cool. We are both saving money and accelerating our time to respond to expense issues for our employees.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
its easy

Easy to use for both virtual and physical cards

  • July 11, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Emailing in receipts automatically matches them quickly! you can even send in photos from text, super handyif
Requesting new cards in self-service model
Being able to have event specific cards, with limits
Virtual as well as physical card options. Virtual good for using for online purchases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Texts you to upload receipts when I check into hotels, so it's trying to get a receipt for a deposit fee.
Would be nice if it would auto-categorize expenses based on vendor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
automatically getting reimbursed for company expenses. No need to manually submit expense reimbursement forms. provide finance with easy tracking of expenses/spend.
