    Industrial Automation

The future of credit cards

  • September 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp automates my expenses and saves me time and money. At my previous company, we'd play games and the loser would have to pay for so they'd be stuck doing expenses. Every time the month ended, we'd spend hours with expenses and it was brutal. All the apps were terrible.

I'm now in the position to make different decisions for a new company. I made a decision to find out how to reduce the workload of dealing with the hours I spent uploading receipts, categorizing expenses, etc. Ramp delivers on all of that. They make it easy to manage expenses and automate so much of it. It's been a godsend.

The ability to also spin up virtual cards instantly is amazing. It allows me to make sure that I can keep recurring subscriptions on certain cards, or create new cards for free trials that don't automatically cancel. The card holder wins.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is really tough because I love everything about the service. I'm not sure what they can do better, honestly. Perhaps personal reimbursements but I did hear they're working on that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems:
1. Expense categorization
2. Easy receipt uploading
3. Buying additional expensing software
4. Issuing new cards quickly

Benefits I've realized:
1. Texting receipts
2. Easy activation
3. Slack integration to monitor expenses
4. Temporary cards
5. Virtual card management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it now.

A clearly better alternative to traditional corporate credit cards

  • September 29, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the reconciliation features. Their receipt matching and transaction categorization rules make it so much easier to close the books at the end of the month. We use Quickbooks and the integration with Ramp is very solid.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of obvious downsides really. Their credit limit underwriting strategy makes much more sense, I've never had an issue using their card both online and physically. Their UI is great. It would be cool if they built a native mobile app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Archaic underwriting currently administered by traditional corporate credit card companies that often entails personal liabilities and credit score checks. Ramp is much smarter in the way they determine our credit card limits and made it very easy to get up and running in no time.
- Better and easier accounting + QuickBooks integration.
- A better experience adding team members, managing credit cards for our business, and browsing transactions.

Amazing cash back, simplicity and incredible accounting integrations. Honestly, all I ever need from a card. Every single expense at the company is now on autopilot. Couldn't be happier.

Nothing so far - their team has been so helpful. I would love for them to start sharing more of their roadmap I'm excited for what they are building.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expense management across the whole company. I don't have to worry about it anymore. Their slack integration is amazing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You'll love it. All you have to do is sign up and start getting cards across your organisation

I never thought I'd call a corporate card "delightful"

What do you like best about the product?
First, the process of issuing new cards to employees - it's painless and immediate with virtual card features. Employees can continue to log in to Ramp's site to interact with their virtual cards and see their card numbers, which reduces the number of charges that don't make it onto the proper card.

Second, the product flow for receipt submission reminders and the resulting receipt matching are fantastic. This will save an incredible amount of time in accounting.

Third, the support the team offers is unparalleled in any other SaaS product I've used, and I've used many. Reporting a glitch or asking a question has been literally as easy as contacting an employee within my own company.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've seen a couple minor glitches with the system, but the responsiveness of the team has made them barely worth mentioning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want employees to be able to pay for work expenses in ways we can track and account for seamlessly, as well as monitor as needed. The tools have been really impressive for this, for such a young company. The ease of provisioning and articulated controls have made it feasible to give corporate cards to a much wider range of employees than I would have traditionally, driving efficiency in accounting and tracking.

Easy to use, with the features you want and not the clutter you don't

What do you like best about the product?
The permissions for different users on the ramp card account makes it easy to enable teammates to spend to help our business grow. The category tracking helps me easily map my spending to line items in my P&L so I know if we are on track for our burn rate. The digital card number makes it SO easy to purchase recurring items online like paid advertising in a secure way, and one that if my card ever gets stolen and I get a new physical card I won't have to update all my recurring payments. The interface is simple, no-frills, but exactly the features you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. I wish all the products I used were this seamless and easy to use! Customer service is also great and cheeky nice email copy that makes me smile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting teammates set up with cards. Categorizing spending that easily maps to my P&L budget. Finding hidden savings opportunities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it!! You'll be happy :)

Great card for startups

  • August 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part is that the customer service is very hands-on and great. Beyond that, the lack of personal liability for founders and the ability to issue virtual cards made it a no-brainer for us to get started. We're looking forward to taking advantage of Ramp savings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I with there were not a 30-card per person limit on virtual cards--but that being said, that's a pretty minor complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is not going to be any more founder liability on the card, which will also help intermingling with personal credit and credit issuance programs. We like their employee management as well, which is a lot easier to manage than our previous cards.

A smarter corporate card

  • August 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We switched to Ramp on the recommendation of a friend, and I was immediately thrilled to discover that they don't require a personal guarantee (as a start-up exec, this is always a point of concern). Once we got the card set up, using it has been a breeze. They helped migrate over recurring accounts, and they've also made receipt management much easier. Overall, no complaints - a much-needed evolution of the old corporate card.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I've seen so far. They've been very helpful with the setup and addressed any issues that have come up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted a corporate card that would replace the previous one we had that required a personal guarantee and had the same old paper statements. That's all gone now.
