We love Ramp!
What do you like best about the product?
Ramp helped us solve a very clunky and badly put together AP process. It was fast to set up and ticked all the boxes that we needed it to. We liked it so much we moved all of our corporate credit card spend to Ramp, too! Now we have everything in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
We signed up with Ramp primarily for its bill pay function, which solved our problem almost immediately for the most part. However, there are a few things that need tweaking, like being able to change approvals flows retroactively. (Example, if there was an approval flow in place at one point, and you change it in the future, anything that was already in Ramp under the old flow will remain under the old flow.) It can also be frustrating to have to put a bill back through the entire approval process if you make an edit to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp is allowing us to have all of our spend (bills & credit cards) in one place, and it offers a seamless integration to Netsuite. This allows for more visibility into spend as well as a faster month end close.
Excellent Expense Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to issue virtual & physical payment cards, limit expenses to specific categories & dollar limits, and require receipts where needed. I could not find a comparable competitor that did not require a full credit check or personal guarantees for a corporate credit card. I also like the cash back feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
No issues so far. Very easy to use and manage. The reporting tool could be a little more flexible. Difficult to generate a report over a specific date range vs the monthly billing period.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp replaced corporate credit & debit cards that were no longer available through our bank without a personal guarantee. Expense management has been simplified.
Excellent UI and ERP integration
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the user friendliness of Ramp so that my colleagues in other departments can easily report their expenses whether it by via Ramp card or expense reimbursement. The bill pay customizable workflows are also extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are looking forward to Ramp one day offering the ability to pay in foreign currency and also hopefully more flexible payment terms for Ramp Card transactions (e.g., one month float, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp has streamlined our expense and spend management. The UI and integrations are not clunky like other tools (Concur).
Time saving, easy to use, and efficient!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Ramp is tech forward - using new tools that helps save time and makes things efficient for the team. I also appreciate all the integration options - like QuickBooks Online. Being able to create rules for expenses is great!
What do you dislike about the product?
This is a tough question since everything is mostly straight forward. I would like for the app to be more user intuitive - especially for company owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Efficiency - especially with multiple users. Being able to enter information once and have it sycned is very helpful.
Simple spend management and corporate cards
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and directly integrates into my accounting system. Transaction rules are simple to customize so reconciliation is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a long time to review and delete old virtual cards that you might create for one off expenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplify expense management when dealing with multiple vendors and multiple users. Accounting takes me 15 minutes each week to complete. Much better view of spending on aggregate.
The best way yet to control staff credit card spending
What do you like best about the product?
For years, we have given staff credit cards, reimbursements, etc. Then, chased them around to receipts. NO more with RAMP. All receipts are logged. Amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a while for staff and accounting (Quickbooks integration) to learn the "ways of RAMP."
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No more lost receipts. Memos help identify account numbers and the purpose for the purchase. Saves HOURS of time in the office.
Real time visibility is fantastic but this platform may not be perfect for everyone

Credit card spend controls and real-time visibility are the absolute best. Other platforms had anywhere from a 1-10 day delay before employees could enter their expense details

Credit available fluctuates based on current bank account cash available so it changes monthly - this is very stressful as we have a seasonal business with high and low cash balance times of year, and we need consistent credit available
We have detailed bills imported to QBO every month (5-20 lines). Since the billing sync in Ramp only processes one way (from Ramp to QBO) we cannot use the bill pay part of your platform

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This solves our issue of Real time availability of expense and spend management. We now have the ability to assign managers to review employees expenses instead of our bookkeeper having to do it all
Pulls together my 3 most important types of expenses into a free (to me) and beautiful platform
What do you like best about the product?
* My employees love it (compared to what they had before)
* I pull credit card, reimbursements, and bill pay into one platform
* I don't pay anything for the service
* In fact, I get 1.5% cashback on the credit cards
* They're continuing to add features... just yesterday I got an email about "automatic receipts" which is a game changer

What do you dislike about the product?
* I wish I could call in for support. I have to email and sit around for a reply or schedule time with a representative.
* It doesn't integrate super well into our admittedly niche accounting system (Blackbaud Financial Edge). I have gotten it to work, but it took a significant effort, mostly because of Blackbaud.
* While it seems they are improving all the time, I don't have visibility into the plan. I wish I could track feature requests.

* Better credit card than our previous vendor--though that was a pretty low bar.
* Better visibility into departmental spend. It was SO HARD to get that out of our accounting system.
* Easier workflow for approvals. My employees are getting better and better at attaching receipts and categorizing transactions!

Ramp - Super Easy to Use For Employees and Keeps Us Organized
What do you like best about the product?
- I enjoy using Ramp as both the admin and a user! Here are a few of my favorites:
- Reimbursement: It is straightforward for employees to submit for reimbursement (with all required information) and for me to approve
- Receipts & Memos: Ramp makes creating our own rules around documentation simple, and there are helpful, but not overly annoying, reminders for employees to submit these items. As a company, we have found incorrect expenses that we would have never found before. It is easy to ask an employee to pay it back within the Ramp system.
- When an employee leaves, I can quickly transfer their card to another employee, which is convenient for vendor cards.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, it is hard to think of something to say here. On the admin side, after some time has passed, I can't auto-sync the QuickBooks category to the expense, so make sure to sync a transaction within about 45 days of the charge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Ramp, we could not track and require receipts and memos. Previously using Brex we could not do this.

I love the Spending controls and the cash back
What do you dislike about the product?
Payments do not always sync from my Frost bank account to my QuickBooks the same day they come out of my Frost bank account.
