Ramp - Super Easy to Use For Employees and Keeps Us Organized

  • June 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- I enjoy using Ramp as both the admin and a user! Here are a few of my favorites:
- Reimbursement: It is straightforward for employees to submit for reimbursement (with all required information) and for me to approve
- Receipts & Memos: Ramp makes creating our own rules around documentation simple, and there are helpful, but not overly annoying, reminders for employees to submit these items. As a company, we have found incorrect expenses that we would have never found before. It is easy to ask an employee to pay it back within the Ramp system.
- When an employee leaves, I can quickly transfer their card to another employee, which is convenient for vendor cards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, it is hard to think of something to say here. On the admin side, after some time has passed, I can't auto-sync the QuickBooks category to the expense, so make sure to sync a transaction within about 45 days of the charge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Ramp, we could not track and require receipts and memos. Previously using Brex we could not do this.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the Spending controls and the cash back
What do you dislike about the product?
Payments do not always sync from my Frost bank account to my QuickBooks the same day they come out of my Frost bank account.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
lack of spend control

What do you like best about the product?
Our small business has only been using Ramp for a month, but it has already been helpful and made tracking receipts and submitting expenses so much easier!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could do more in the iOS app without having to log-in in a browser, but this is a small thing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking receipts and simplifying expense reports

Employees and accounting team both love it

  • June 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The team loves the ability to see their transactions and easily send in receipts. The account team loves it even more as we know who to track down when receipts aren't available. Win/win for all parties!
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the bill pay feature has taken a little to get set up, but overall its a minimal dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp helps us easily track spend for our employees and has helped reduce our close time by a day just because we no longer have to track down receipts!

Best time-saver for accounting

  • May 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We had a senior accountant spending at least 10% of his time on credit card transactions. Even then, he struggled with getting receipts and monitoring spend. The integration with QuickBooks Online is amazing. Ramp does most of the work, including categorizing transactions and reminding cardholders to submit receipts. The cash-back rebate is a huge bonus! Our cardholders have stated it is easier for them to use also!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found a downside yet. It has been very positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saving Accounting time, accumulating receipts, classifying transactions for us based on MCC codes, synching directly with QuickBooks Online. Easier for cardholders. We have increased our spend to include AP transactions also.

Easy process of invoice payments

  • May 29, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flexibility and ease of use, multiple layers to limit card expenditure, easy to lick the cards & instant edit on card features
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being connected to a Canadian bank, not being able to connect with Canadian QB (online), The credit limit can be changed based on bank balance regardless that all statements have been paid on time and the column of transactions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to issue card instantly for whoever that wants to travel, the matching invoice to the vendor and direct request of reimbursment

Great experience

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and the people that work at Ramp are incredibly knowledgable of their product. It is very seamless and is easy to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say that there are some slow moments that come about when using the product and I wish for faster complexity
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The forecasting process.

    Logistics and Supply Chain

Works great in theory, adds complexity for users

  • May 26, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Expense limits and allowable purchases and vendors are clear so there is less ambiguity on what will be approved. Approvals, or auto-approvals, are more simplified and the process for expensing something is much much quicker and requires fewer info. Being able to submit receipts by SMS is also a time saver.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires using a different virtual credit card number for every type of category, though this likely depends on how the user's organization set it up. THis also requires the user to go into the app and switch which expense account to draw from before using the credit card, which is not a natural habit for someone making a purchase. If this is not done, the credit card will get declined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp is making expenses more clear and require fewer steps to submit an expense. It also provides clarity in terms of what is an approved expense and what is not.

Instant cure for expense reporting headaches

  • May 26, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I used to actively avoid expense reporting because it was manual and kind of stressful. Ramp automates the worst parts, and when you do need to do manual work (e.g., uploading receipts), it makes things as painless as possible. It's also great for reviewing and approving vendor invoices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing. It's great and does exactly what it says it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp takes away a lot (potentially all) of the manual work associated with expense reporting and vendor invoice approval/spend management.

    Primary/Secondary Education

Ramp centralized all of our company's A/P and dramatically reduced time spent organizing invoices.

  • May 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ramp automatically pulls invoices from inboxes, and streamlines the payment and approval process. Similarly, the product has massively derisked our payment processes with virtual cards with hard limits, linked to each of our vendors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform requires payment to be submitted in order for invoices to be synced with our ERP system. It would be nice if we could pass invoices into our ERP without scheduling a payment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ramp ensures that our operational expenses remain in full view of the accounting/finance function, eliminates surprise bills, and handles the cases where vendors prefer to be paid by check.
