Creating product walkthroughs have been made easy!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which we can create videos and user manuals. Long gone are the days when we used to create textual user manuals - storylane has made that process interactive and easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides, only a suggestion - to add a PIP mode where a user can talk and which can be recorded while creating a walkthrough of any product - to make it more interactive and add a personal touch!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps solve our problem of acquiring customers without having to give a demo, enabling us to make our product a self-serve portal - where users can design their own learning curve based on use-case and needs.
Good Tool for Quick, Simple Product Tours
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is relatively easy to use - capture screenshots, organize them, and add callouts/CTAs. We can create multiple demos based on product or persona to embed on our website and share with our prospects. From a marketing perspective, this provides invaluable insight into buyer intent and ranks highly as part of our demand generation and pre-sales efforts. We gain insight into how engaged a prospect is with the analytics that we can sync to our CRM. Support is also very responsive to our questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Storylane has potential as it continues to evolve its product, such as more flexibility in configuring, adding or removing forms from demos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a sales and marketing perspective, we know buyers want to research products before contacting us. Most product videos take time to produce and can become outdated quickly with new releases. Storylane solves this problem for us.
We can draft our narrative, capture screenshots, organize them, add call outs/CTAs, and quickly publish it. Making an update is as easy as replacing a screenshot, updating the message, and publishing.

User friendly demo tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's extremely easy to upload screenshots and create screen by screen instructions and demos for potential customers and business partners. Looking forward to using their HTML conversion tool, as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It'd be great to open up options for users to upgrade and choose the plans they need without having to contact sales. I could see lots of their users being small business owners instead of enterprise users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps my team quickly create demos and generate demos links to be shared with customers and business partners or embed the links on our website. Pretty flexible.
Put The Demo of your Product in Your Prospects' Hands
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is an integral tool for our marketing and sales development efforts. We are no longer dependent on a prospect to agree to have a meeting in order to experience a demo of our product. Storylane is also quite responsive to our needs as they arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Storylane tool is not mobile friendly, but I'm sure they're working on this as I write this review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our cold outreach's success depended on a prospect agreeing to meet with our sales people to give a demo of our product. With the Storylane tool, we can now tease and entice our prospects with differentiators of our product, and we have seen an increase in our sales development KPIs due to Storylane's tool.
It's so good, I almost want to keep it a secret...
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is a singular solution to innumerable pains. For functions in Sales, Marketing, Service, Business Development, Partnerships, and even Internal Operations and enablement... Storylane has practically no limit to its utility, given the right steward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Storylane is a tedious tool to use when building out high script applications. In otherwords, if an application has a lot of javascript or AJAX, it will require a lot of work to build out well linked, free-flowing demos. That said, if you are intelligent about how to use the guided features for certain things, and free-flowing features for others, you'll strike a worthwhile balance any way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is solving a product-lead growth trial problem for me initially. Instead of waiting for new trial provisioning, we now use Storylane to provide our leads a robust and guided experience instantly.
Very professional and slick. A great way to communicate with prospects.

The product is great, but it can be a little time consuming to create a demo.

Communicating the value of our product with prospects when we don't have the opportunity to show the prospect in person.

What do you like best about the product?
Our sales process requires us to showcase our product's experience on various products to create that wow feeling for our buyers. We tried different demo platforms but none gave us the simplicity and the reliability of captures like Storylane. Their platform consistently replicates different products, with deep DOM capture of even iframes. We are seeing huge time savings and our time to deliver a great demo experience has shortened considerably. Love working with the Storylane team!

Overall, we love Storylane. There are a few quirks sometimes but Storylane team is awesome to work with us to fix/enhance their product to meet our needs!

Storylane has been a great tool for us for both sales and training activities.

We have introduced our platform to hundreds of new users and added new leads to our pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes a few minutes to arrange the stories in the order that I want them, but that is more a factor of writing the correct stories than it is the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us socialize our platform to others in an organization beyond just attendees of meetings. It also allows personalization, which is a great addition.

Ease of use, great guides to help you self start, UI is intuitive and help always available via preferred media.

Knowledge base could be better but it is improving every day.

How do we show as much of our product to potential end users as possible and give them real world insight to feature sets and capabilities. It looks and feels like you are in the platform and thats what we wanted.
We chose Storylane to revamp our pre-sales and product marketing content toolkit.
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane provides an easy-to-use, highly intuitive alternative to traditional screen capture product demos. Akash, Maria and the team have been extremely helpful in onboarding us, sharing their knowledge about the platform, answering our questions, and taking onboard our feedback. It is very early days but our experience to date has been great and I'm looking forward to really putting Storylane to work in our product marketing, pre-sales, lead gen, website, and events activities and channels.
What do you dislike about the product?
We just started using Storylane so no particular issues. Of course there are little 'convenience' things like the inability to pre-configure our entire Storylane instance in our brand colors rather than needing to update the colors for individual stories, but I understand why that functionality isn't offered, and it's easy enough to brand an entire story at once, so no big deal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have lacked a good way to show prospects our products without needed a pre-sales colleague to show them a demo using the application platform. Screen cap demos are difficult to make ourselves and expensive to outsource, and the level of ongoing innovation means they quickly become outdated. Storylane will give us a level of agility and dynamism that we have sorely needed.
