Easy to use and works great

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is intuitive and very easy to learn. The interactive demo creation tools are the best we've seen so far and allow a lot of flexibility when creating screens.
What do you dislike about the product?
We'd like to be able to customize some functionality a bit for some unique use cases but everything off the shelf works for 95% of our needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storyline allows us to very quickly create interactive demos for individual feature flows and even individual customers. Being able to edit a demo on the fly to include new features saves our team a.lot of time.

The best way to make interactive product tours

  • November 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of capturing HTML screenshots, editing, dynamic HTML tokenization, and Salesforce & Marketo integrations. Within 2 months, we implemented Storylane and have it running in demand generation campaigns, web, kiosk mode at events, and embedded in our sales enablement tool. They are very receptive to feedback on how to improve their solution. Product management and support have also quickly added new features (like integration with Clearbit) that improve demo analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the browser extension freezes and requires it to be disabled and re-enabled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We struggled in digital experience as we do not offer a free trial, so we looked around for a solution that could help fill that gap in the buyer's journey. Storylane product tours help with demand generation (campaigns/web), events (kiosk iPads/genius bar) and sales enablement.

What do you like best about the product?
Story lane is an easy to use tool that enabled our team to showcase our product in an efficent and prompt manner. The learning curve is very small and it is quite easy to hit the ground running with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, it saves us so much time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is allowing us to recycle the demo process and not need a human to do it.

Affordable and effective interactive demo tool

  • November 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Affordable and easy to use tool for our team to use for various platform tours. Storylane is user friendly for both the creator and the viewer of the tour, which allows our sales teams to really take advantage of using the tours we've created in their outreach. There are also various tooltips that you can use depending on what you need (hotspots, text boxes, etc.). Lastly the integration with hubspot has been extremely helpful along with our customer success/support manger.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only big downside is the analytics are not always accurate which can make it challenging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows our prospects to do a self guided and interactive tour, which gives them a better understanding of how they could use the platform. It has also helped tremendously in demoing new features to existing customer.

It's very easy to use and cost-effective. We needed a solution that would fit into our budget and be easy to use. Storylane gets the job done.
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us create interactive demos that enable potential customers to get a glimpse of the power of our platform.

What do you like best about the product?
Very intuitive system. Setup does not require you to be a technical genius
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing negative has come up with it so far
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have quite a complex sales cycle and Storylane allows us to push information to prospects and let them consume it in their own time prior to a sales demonstration

Easy to use builder and great support!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's great how easily we were able to implement Storylane into our process. Right away we were able to create demos and if we had any questions, their support team was quick to reply with a solution. If we were looking for a feature they didn't have, they were quick to suggest it to the product team and see a change. We were able to integrate with our CRM (Hubspot) so our sales team, who are in the CRM every day, can easily see which demos have been viewed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since the company is relatively new, they are missing just a few features, mainly internal user-facing. An example would be helpful ways of organizing our demos while trying to localize them. Luckily, they are quick to develop new features and nothing they are missing has made us lose value with our subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a way to show leads our product offering without them having to sign up for a trial. Now our sales team can send out these demos and collect great feedback from their potential buyers. With our current users, we can create demos of new features and send them out with our product blog, which has helped us drive adoption.

Great customer experience tool

  • November 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Storylane to create demos of online tools for customer support. It was very easy to get started using Storylane. Compared to making videos I found Storylane to be simpler and more flexible as it allows customers to choose their own adventure. Also the demos are easier to edit and remain at the same link compared to a video. Having the HTML available to edit is also nice since you can simulate various stages within our online tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far there is nothing I dislike about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to create and edit demos of key features without recording and re-recording video.

Cut down on discovery calls with custom demos

  • November 28, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Storylane to include demos directly on our website. This is better than photos or a video, and also pre-qualifies some customers since they already have a good idea of what we're doing rather than getting on a call and then telling us they want something completely different.

Integration is very simple - just drop drop a few lines into the HTML and it adds a button that leads to a popup.

I also like that we (a startup) are supporting another startup. We found storylane by accident but it's been a very important part of our website and our customer support process (we can send customers a step by step rather than just a PDF).
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like a way to use Storylane without cookies - if a customer says no to cookies we unfortately have to hide it. Technically I think this is very difficult to develop but it would be nice to see. That's the only downside I noticed (and lots of other platforms have a similar issue).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane lets prospective customers hitting our website do a demo themselves, prequalifiying themselves before reaching out. That saves our time, and reduces friction from people who are reluctant to do demos. We also use it in place of PDF user guides at times.
