Modern and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Storylane is how intuitive and easy it is to learn. The UI is clean, modern, and visually appealing, which makes building demos feel effortless. Compared to traditional screen recordings, Storylane makes it much easier to create engaging and interactive demo videos, without the complexity of manual editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation is that it’s not possible to download the full demo video, and downloading screens one by one can be quite slow. Additionally, it would be great if all editing tools were available in the same place to make the process more efficient and intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane solves the challenge of creating consistent, high-quality, and interactive sales demo videos for customer prospects. It makes video creation, editing, and personalization significantly easier without requiring advanced video editing skills, thanks to its intuitive interface. This lowers the barrier to producing demo content, encourages creating more tailored and engaging sales videos, and ultimately supports more effective product marketing and sales.
Super-Fast Demo Creation with a Top-Notch UI
What do you like best about the product?
Super fast to create demos. First demo took 2 minutes and the UI top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Literally nothing. I didnt understood the HTML mode this is why I bought a smaller tier. The AI translations of the screenshots are not always on point but this is due to the fact that Storylane has not enough context I guess.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I hate it to record demos and onboarding videos same as doing trainings. Then, I tried Storylane and I'm now convinced to reduce those efforts by a lot.
Simple, Flexible, and Ready to Scale as You Grow

A simple, easy-to-use, and flexible tool that feels ready to scale as needs grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot think of anything in particular.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Storylane both for demos on our webpage, but also for customer education in our academy. Some of our reps also prefer using Storylane in customer meetings.
Intuitive, Time-Saving Interactive Demos with Smooth Capture and Easy Embedding
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it very easy to create interactive product demos without heavy technical effort. The UI is intuitive, the capture flow is smooth, and the ability to guide users step by step really helps in explaining complex workflows. It’s especially useful for product walkthroughs, training, and sales demos, saving a lot of time compared to traditional video recordings. Integrating Storylane is also very user-friendly, with simple setup steps and seamless embedding options that make it easy to add interactive demos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced customizations feel limited, especially when trying to fine-tune interactions or layouts. Editing recorded steps can sometimes be restrictive, and performance may lag slightly for longer demos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps solve the challenge of explaining complex product features in a simple, engaging way. Instead of relying on static documents or long videos, it enables us to create interactive, self-guided demos that users can explore at their own pace. This improves product understanding, reduces dependency on live demos or training sessions, speeds up onboarding, and enhances engagement for both internal training and customer-facing use cases.
Super Intuitive Demo Creation with Easy Screenshot Recording
What do you like best about the product?
I found the demo creation process to be very intuitive, especially the recording feature for capturing screenshots and adding them to existing demos.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free version I used initially had some limits, but aside from that, it offers pretty great functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I create compelling, easy-to-make demos for my product that capture customers’ interest and help generate leads.
Easy, Account-Free Product Tours via Shareable Links
What do you like best about the product?
It offers an alternative to having a user create an account to tour your platform/app. It's easy to send a link to the tour, and have people walk through at their own pace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating screenshots when things change can be a bit tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tailoring demos to different personas and points in the buying journey.
A Powerful One-Stop Shop for Creating Product Demos
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is intuitive and easy to use. I was able to implement all of its features straight away without needing to jump through any learning hoops. The Edge extension lets me start recording, re-recording, or taking screenshots in seconds. I use Storylane in proposals to showcase our products, as well as in our help centre articles to deliver a polished experience for customers and clients. On the rare occasion I’ve run into a bug or needed help, the support team has been quick to assist via live chat and had me back on my feet in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can occasionally experience some lag, particularly when clicking through screenshots or working on larger projects. There’s also no seamless way to transition from screenshots to a recorded video segment while actively recording, you have to rely on the software to detect it automatically. Additionally, there’s currently no option to bulk select and delete screenshots or recordings during editing; items must be removed one at a time, which can be time-consuming if multiple unnecessary captures are created. Finally, there’s no recycle bin or recovery option for deleted screenshots or recordings, which has been a recurring pain point, especially when attempting to clean up content and accidentally deleting required items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane has become a one-stop shop for my demos, replacing what previously required multiple tools and licenses. Before using Storylane, I had to download separate recording software, pay an eye-watering sum for overly complex video-editing tools just to access a few basic features, slog through hours of editing, then find a platform to host the content and work out how to embed it into proposals or websites. Storylane has streamlined this entire process into a single, efficient workflow.
