Simple Demo Creation and Reusable Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I love using the screenshot feature to create quick demos that teach our customers how to configure and use our software. It scales well from simple processes to longer configuration sequences, and once I've made a demo, it's easy to save that and reuse it in our documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
While some of the configuration pieces are easy to apply to every part of the demo, others require manual changes on each screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is great for saving me time--both by making it quick to create technical demos and by allowing me to refine it further for broad use.
Versatile and empowering, but with minor hiccups
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane helps us educate and empower our internal teams and customers on new features. What makes it especially powerful is its versatility - there are virtually no limits beyond our creativity.
What do you dislike about the product?
When previewing your demos, you may encounter some inconsistencies. The Storylane app preview and the actual URL link can display differently, so adjustments that make the demo look good in one view may not translate well to the other. Additionally, file management can be confusing: while you can upload many screenshots, there’s no straightforward way to organize or manage them, which can make the process cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
• Internal enablement: guides teams to better understand how new features work, reducing confusion and misalignment.
• Customer enablement: hands-on, interactive product demos, allowing users to understand features without lengthy onboarding sessions.

Feature-Rich and User-Friendly, Worth the Price
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane offers a wide range of features, from the ability to create product hierarchies to an AI-powered text-to-speech option, all within an easy-to-use interface. Could easily handover the tool usage to a new colleague, have consistently used it for a lot of our user demo and client pitches. I have tried other tools such as Tango, but even considering the price, I find Storylane to be well worth it. Have not yet utilized the support system but never really had much issues to begin with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the security features not being able for freemium but otherwise its a solid tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Its an easy route for client pitches who wish to explore the tool but not necessarily have time for product demo.
2. For new users, the voiceover walkthrough makes it easy to repeat and learn
3. Being able to record, edit and add text on screen is more helpful than I expected

Effortless interactive tours, even better if it improved in-app image editing
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is very intuitive and easy to use, making the creation of interactive product tours simple and fast. The best feature is its effectiveness in enabling prospects to conduct their own self-guided research. We can deliver high-quality, customized experiences that let potential customers explore our product's value on their own terms.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform excels at tour creation and delivery, I find the ability to edit images and screenshots directly within the application to be somewhat limited. Enhanced in-app editing capabilities would streamline the workflow and make the platform a one-stop-shop for tour creation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allowing customers to see the product/screens and understand the benefits and differentiators.
Effortless and User-Friendly Demo Creation Experience
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to use! The userface is incredibly friendly and making an interactive demo is quikc and effortless.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far - all in all has been a great experience!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to provide people an opportunity to do an interactive demo of the platform prior to meeting with us and this ticked all the boxes!
Storylane Shines, But Needs Stronger Analytics Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Storylane is its simplicity and speed in creating interactive product demos that can be customized for different audiences and use cases — without depending on developers or product teams. It’s incredibly intuitive, making it easy to capture product flows, edit screens, and personalize content for specific campaigns or personas.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s very little to dislike about Storylane, but a few areas could be improved to make it even better. The analytics and reporting could be more robust — for example, having deeper integrations with tools like HubSpot, Marketo, or Salesforce would help us track demo engagement and influence across the entire buyer journey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane has helped us overcome one of the key challenges in digital marketing and sales enablement — delivering a hands-on product experience without relying on live demo environments or technical dependencies. Before using Storylane, building interactive demos for campaigns or web embeds required significant design and development support, making it hard to scale or personalize experiences for different audiences.
Effortless Storyboarding—A Product Marketer’s Dream Come True
What do you like best about the product?
I like how storyboarding demos becomes super easy because it's as simple as screenshots. Removes the thinking layer and is a product marketer's dream.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a downside and my company has bought the subscription based on my sample demos and my recommendation,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me with product-driven and prototyping driven marketing. Great for low cost demand discovery and selling 'with' the prospect.
Effortless User Guide Creation!
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy how easy it is to create educational material. We used to take endless screenshots and then sort them out in PDF form. It would take so long. With Storylane, we create interactive guides in minutes, and if a screen changes, we just update that screen on Storylane.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could use StoryLane outside of a web browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane has reduced the time in creating content.
Efficient Backend for Advanced Users, But Lacks Standout Features
What do you like best about the product?
This is a highly efficient approach to presenting the backend of the software, especially for more advanced and enterprise users, who are the ones we see as having the most potential.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, for what it is intended to do, I did not notice any major disadvantages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The goal is to explain to potential customers the backend of the software and what the software is capable of.
Flexible Demo Tool That Boosts Engagement and Personalization
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane allows our product to convey its value before prospects are ready to start a trial or talk to a salesperson. We can craft short ungated teasers to support a landing page, or gate access for more detailed DIY demos, or a mix of functionality with some ungated steps followed by a form to get more details. It's highly flexible and aligns well with different stages of the funnel.
By allowing us to manipulate text from our product snaphsots, we can also get creative with campaign themes -- e.g., changing specific field names or visuals that show up as data points in our product to match a holiday theme or other promotional campaign.
We can even customize with tokens for a personalized experience too.

What do you dislike about the product?
Organizing demos in the backend is a little limited, as we'd like to have nested folders across different team folders, for example. But this is already on their roadmap to update.
Building a robust sandbox environment can be cumbersome if your product has extensive menus and capabilities, as it can take time to link unique data point clicks to the proper screen that click would normally take your user to within your product. Our CSM has been a huge support and is highly responsive to help us resolve issues quickly, but this was one challenge we faced.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Showcasing the value of our product and allowing us to create a sandbox without coding.
