Effortless Demo Creation for Startups
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane was super easy to set up and use to create demos and walkthroughs of our product. We are a small company so I have not yet used all of its features, but on even the basic ones, they've continued to add meaningful and helpful features (such as AI help in writing copy; not perfect, but definitely helpful with the first draft, and automatically inserting short video demos where it makes sense), all focused on ease-of-use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost for adding extra users is still quite high—previously $50, now $40 per month—which is one of the reasons why I remain the main user for our company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a new product, so walking through how it can be used is key. It also tracks leads (and confidence levels) which helps us get a sense of who's interested in our product.
Effortless, intuitive, and perfect for creating polished product demos
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane genuinely surprised me with how intuitive it is. It understood the structure of my software almost instantly, which meant I didn’t have to manually map out every single step. The editing experience is smooth, the interface feels familiar straight away, and the styling options make it incredibly easy to produce something polished. I especially liked how quickly I could make changes -updating steps, swapping screens, or refining the layout took seconds.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing tiers could be a little more attaractive for start-ups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, it cuts down hours of manual demo creation, helps communicate the product value more clearly, and gives prospects a hands-on feel without requiring a live call. It’s become a fast, reliable way to showcase features with little hassle.
Effortless Product Walkthroughs with Intuitive Editing and Time-Saving AI
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it incredibly easy and fast to build polished product walkthroughs. The editor is intuitive, the capture process is smooth, and the built-in AI narration was a huge time saver. Being able to embed the demo on our website and share it in outreach has made our product much easier to understand without a live call.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that some of the more advanced customization options take a little time to discover, but support got back to me quickly so that helped.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us show our product without scheduling a demo, which saves time for both prospects and our team. It gives prospects a clear, guided walkthrough of our workflows and value before we ever get on a call. This has improved our outreach and made our website much more effective.
Fast, intuitive, and perfect for scalable product tutorials
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Storylane is how incredibly easy and fast it makes it to produce high-quality interactive tutorials without needing support from engineering or design. The learning curve is extremely low, the editor is intuitive, and the final result feels polished and professional.
For a B2B SaaS company like ours, Storylane helps us break down complex workflows (procurement, payments, supplier onboarding, etc.) into simple, guided experiences that our users can follow at their own pace. Features like automatic step-by-step capture, hotspots, branching, and reusable components significantly speed up our production process.
Another major upside is how effortless it is to update demos. Instead of re-recording videos every time our platform UI changes, we can quickly replace individual steps while keeping everything consistent.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are moments where Storylane feels a bit limited when you need deeper UI customization. Some design elements, spacing, and alignment controls are restrictive, and it can be tricky to fully match brand guidelines without workarounds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us scale educational and product content without relying on technical teams. Before, creating a full tutorial required video recording, editing, and design work, which could take days. Now, we can produce interactive walkthroughs in minutes and update them just as quickly.
This has reduced repetitive support tickets, improved feature adoption across our customer base, and made onboarding much smoother. It also provides our Sales and Marketing teams with consistent, high-quality demos that we can easily share with prospects and clients.

Effortless Demo Sharing and User-Friendly Experience
What do you like best about the product?
It makes sharing our demo site so much easier. On the creator end it seems pretty user friendly, and the way you share it with others it's very clear to show highlights of the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something I have a hard time with is getting the different chapters to go together. When I made my first multiple demo storylane, it took me some time to learn how to piece it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't really have a demo site to share, so it has been helpful to have one place for our team to go to help with this.
Effortless Demo Creation with Speed and All-in-One Convenience
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how fast and efficient the production process is. The automatic script-writing engine and the clear scene-based structure make it very easy to create polished demos in a short amount of time.
I also like that Storylane combines many capabilities in one place, which helps me avoid juggling multiple tools. It keeps the workflow smooth and simple, and saves a lot of time.

What do you dislike about the product?
Just a couple of small things: I’d love an integration with ElevenLabs for voice-overs, and a bit more flexibility when adding shapes or images. Nothing major — just features that would make the workflow even smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps me speed up the entire demo-creation workflow. Instead of switching between multiple tools for scripting, recording, editing, and structuring content, I can do everything in one place.
This saves a lot of time, keeps the process organized, and allows me to build clear, polished “Guide Me” and “Show Me” experiences much more efficiently.

We had a problem with trainings and it helped a ton.
Fastest Way to Create Guided Demos and Onboarding Materials
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is the quickest way I can create guided/tailored demos or provide onboarding materials for new employees. It's a very intuitive experience without any technical expertise required.
We use both recorded demos in conjunction with Storylane demos to provide flexibility in how our prospects are absorbing content. It's a great intermediate step between a human lead demo and a Proof of Concept. It gives the prospects a feel of navigating through our platform without the burden of spinning up a POC.
We can quickly create multiple levels of depth of our onboarding material, which can reflect the varying technical acumen of who is being onboarded. Certain demoes will be super high level, others may dig very deep into specific use cases.

What do you dislike about the product?
The jump from the Starter to Growth package is fairly steep cost increase - need to make sure you are leveraging all the seats. I wish the HTML Guided Demos were in the Starter package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We rapidly iterate our platform, so being able to update our demos in a timely fashion is what Storylane is solving for us.
