Easy Demo Recording Extension

  • February 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The extension and ease to record the demo's.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that I have to generate the voice-over on each screen individually, instead of being able to generate it for all screens collectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating interactive demo's for learning purposes. We used to have to build that and it would take a lot of time and now also non-elearning developers can create it because it's so easy to use.

Effortless Onboarding and Training Transformation

  • February 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find the ability to add contextual voice overs in Storylane essential for our training needs. it helps us explain why product features work the way they do in detail. The editable screen recording feature is fantastic because we can capture our actual platform and then redact or hide sensitive data before sharing, which is a significant security benefit. The lead form integration is also impressive, allowing us to capture viewer data directly within the educational flow, turning training sessions into potential opportunities. The implementation was incredibly fast, and we were fully set up in less than a day. The browser extension integrates perfectly with our platform, making the initial capture phase effortless. Storylane's documentation is excellent and provides clear links for every step. Additionally, their customer support team is proactive and quick to help us solve any issues. Storylane has also become an essential asset in our customer-facing toolkit, providing easy-to-share playable links for specific user journeys and adhering perfectly to our brand guidelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see better functionality for cross-team collaboration on a single setup. When multiple people from CS and marketing work on the same demo framework, the workflow can get a bit siloed. Additionally, the ability to create a drop-down menu within the demo to navigate between a variety of different workflows would make our more complex, multi-module training videos much easier for the end user to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Storylane to reduce manual training time by 70% and bridge the gap between static help articles and live demos. It offers self-serve product experiences, saving my team time and generating high-intent leads from interactive demos.

Empowers Teams with Interactive Product Demos

  • February 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has been a core part of our stack, benefiting several departments for over a year. It helps us build rapid tours that demo our platform in sales, making it more effective than static slide decks. We embed interactive experiences into our marketing collateral, allowing prospects to refer back at their convenience. In customer success, it aids product education by allowing clients to understand new features without needing live support. I appreciate that Storylane allows us to ship materials almost as quickly as code, eliminating the need for repeated live sessions for basic education. It lets prospects self-qualify by exploring the UI independently and effectively conveys the newness of our platform to the market. The tool has minimal learning curve, with AI features automating the initial script and hot spots. It's truly plug-and-play and helps us reach more leads and improve conversion speeds. Despite wishing for more editing flexibility, its speed and effectiveness are crucial for our daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
If there's one area for improvement, it's the level of flexibility within the edit screen. While the UI and UX are very simple to get started with, I sometimes find myself wanting more deep level customization options once I'm inside the editor. When we are trying to align a tour perfectly with a very specific corporate brand identity or a complex user flow, the current editing tools can occasionally feel a bit restrictive. More granular control over the visual elements within the edit phase would be a welcome update.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane solves our time-to-value problem by streamlining the explanation of complex features and comprehensive product overviews, eliminating slow, manual processes.

Storylane Makes Interactive Product Demos Fast, Easy, and Professional

  • February 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Storylane is how easy it is to create interactive product demos without needing heavy technical skills. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, which makes it simple to build guided walkthroughs and showcase key features in a clear, engaging way. I also appreciate how quickly demos can be customized and shared, whether for sales presentations, onboarding, or marketing campaigns. It helps save time while still delivering a professional and interactive experience for viewers.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I dislike about Storylane is that some advanced customizations can feel limited, especially if you want more control over design elements or highly complex interactions. There are moments when adjusting layouts or fine-tuning details requires workarounds. Additionally, depending on the plan, certain features can be restricted, which may limit flexibility for smaller teams or growing businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane addresses the challenge of demonstrating software features and complex workflows effectively, without depending on lengthy written explanations or heavy engineering support. By making it possible to create interactive product demos and guided walkthroughs, it helps communicate value more clearly: prospects and users can see exactly how a product works in real time, which speeds up understanding and decision-making.

It also improves onboarding, since new users can self-serve through guided flows, reducing support tickets and training time. Sales conversations benefit as well, because sales teams can tailor demos to specific buyer needs quickly and consistently. Finally, it saves time overall: rather than building custom demo environments or relying on developers for ongoing demo updates, non-technical teams can create and refresh demo content on their own.

For me, this means faster demo creation, clearer feature communication, and fewer back-and-forths with technical teams—improving efficiency and helping me engage audiences more effectively.
