AI generated guide text really helps speed up the demo creation process
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the HTML demo capture process, and I like that Storylane has added AI-generated comments to the guides based on clicks from the initial capture. The AI comments definitely need a human to review and edit to make sure everything is accurate, but having those comments as a guide when you move from capturing to editing helps jog your memory if you're doing a really long demo.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish you could reposition the demo capture controls menu. A lot of my captures have action buttons along the bottom of the window, and the Storylane controls menu blocks them. As a result I have to start a capture, end the capture, advance the screen, start another capture, end the capture, advance the screen...etc. It's pretty frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since my company's product is very customizable, live demos with our Sales team require a lot of prep-work to make sure the product is configured for the prospective customer's exact use case. With Storylane, we can offer self-guided demos for several different use cases as a first step. Now when the prospective customer is ready for a live demo they already know a lot more about the product and the Sales team can get right to answering their specific use-case questions instead of a high-level intro.

What do you like best about the product?
Super intuitive and easy to use and It is very easy to keep everything up to date. In the past we have used videos that run the risk of being out of date pretty quickly in the every changing SaaS world.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you edit the location of a voice over, make sure to uncheck the "apply to all" box!!! I would like to see this button set to off as a default, instead of on.

It is giving us an evergreen demo and onboarding platform.

Storylane makes it incredibly easy to build interactive product demos without writing a single line of code. The user interface is intuitive, and the editor allows for quick customization of flows. I especially like how you can embed the demos directly on your website or share them via link — it's a great way to boost lead engagement. The analytics feature is also helpful to see how prospects interact with your walkthroughs.

So far, the platform works well for most use cases, but some elements can be a bit tricky to align perfectly in the editor, especially when working with complex UI screens.

A lifesaver for creating Salesforce guides in minutes!
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes creating step-by-step guides feel like a breeze. I used it to walk users through various Salesforce functionalities, and I loved how interactive and polished the end result looked. The AI-generated scripts and prompts were especially helpful—they saved me tons of time. Instead of writing instructions from scratch, I just tweaked what the AI suggested. Plus, being able to customize the look and feel of the guide really helped me match our branding and style. It’s intuitive, fast, and honestly kind of fun to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t much to dislike, but if I had to nitpick, I’d say the AI prompts sometimes need a bit of rephrasing to sound more natural or align with our tone. Still, it's way better than starting from a blank page. It would be great if, in the future, there was a way to provide more context—like a brief background or objective—so the AI could generate even more relevant and insightful scripts right from the start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps me simplify and speed up the process of creating user guides and walkthroughs, especially for complex functionalities and business processes. Instead of spending hours manually writing steps and capturing screenshots, I can build interactive, visual guides in a fraction of the time. It’s especially helpful for onboarding, training, or sharing processes with teammates—everything looks clean, easy to follow, and engaging. The built-in AI support also reduces the effort of writing instructions from scratch, which saves me time and keeps things consistent.

It's become my go to whenever I want to share something with my customer instead of asking them "can we meet" or instead of explaining things in a long email.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet. Found nothing I dislike about them. I would may be love some animated effects like zooming in and zooming out when to focus on a specific part of the screen or so and blurring rather than putting a white block.

Great functionality
What do you like best about the product?
I love the guided demos. Best features: chapters, copying chapters from one demo to another, easy customization and sharing with a variety of people, can use for training or sales.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have navigation only options on top of an imported screen, and not have to use a strange workaround to make that work. The nav box looks awkward. Also would love the ability to copy just one screen with guide from one deck to another - currently that is only possible within the deck. To add it to another deck, you have to add the screenshot and redo the guide.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Takes the place of Scribe - it does a WAY better job. Very easy to customize for our customers.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Storylane is how easy it is to create and personalize demos for different industries and personas. The platform offers a variety of distribution options, making it incredibly flexible and user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest frustration with Storylane is the lack of clear insights into next steps or hand-raising activity after a demo is viewed. I’d like to see more detailed analytics to better understand why conversions aren’t happening as expected.

Storylane is solving the challenge of creating personalized product demos quickly and efficiently. It allows my team to tailor demos for specific industries and personas, making the content more relevant and engaging. This has streamlined our demo creation process and given us appropriate mid-funnel content for lead generation.

Having interactive clickable demos on our marketing websites improves their user experience and lets users better understand the benefits of our software.

Nothing big comes to mind, everything has been positive.

We wanted to make it easier for users to understand the benefits of our software without having to book a demo with a sales person. Storylane helped remove that initial hesitation.
