Powerful, customizable and Lean Storylane gets it done!
What do you like best about the product?
It is a lean product capable of customizing to my needs to keep it on an online demo easily. It helps us to easily showcase our product in a controlled environment without too much time cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am rewriting this after some time. I see Storylane is progressing better. Currently, I experience some challenges due it's lacking customization in embedded environments like website but still I think it's a fatal flaw I can work around by manipulating a few stuff on my website

They should add a more economical starter plan that can be used for testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have multiple products on our SaaS platform and some solutions are not at the stage where they are completely self serve. Storylane helps us create short product tours to guide users on how they can get started without waiting for a customer support executive to connect with them.
Better than video content to explain software!
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane beautifully captures the UI of your software, creating a truly unique and involved demo. Ideal for marketing to prospects or educating existing customers, Storylane's interactive feel is a step up from sending another video. In addition, Storylane is easy to use right away - no training needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Functionality bugs/glitches keep the product from being everything it can be.

Storylane enables us to visually highlight the specifics of our platform. Creating a product marketing story inside a Storylane is intuitive and powerful.

Great product for End User Training and Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to capture HTML along with AI generated voiceovers. The blur feature is also very helpful when creating training content. It is also super easy to use and implement in teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Guides should be reusable so that users don't have to create new text boxes and voice overs when copying the screens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is helping on 2 major fronts. Firstly, it is helping us create easy to access training videos and guides for our end users. This has reduced the manual effort of doing training with these users and is really appreciated by the clients. Secondly, it is helping us create an HTML playable demo for our GTM function which allows prospects to experience the product and not just read about it in outbound emails and decks.
Fast, affordable, and user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is incredibly easy to use, and the user interface is intuitive, which allowed us to get up and running within just one month (smooth integration). The tool is well-priced for the value it provides, and the customer support team is always there when you need them, offering quick and helpful solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Storylane offers a great range of features, some details, such as CTAs, are not as customizable as I'd prefer. However, this is a minor issue given the overall value and ease of use the platform offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a trial flow that wasn't performing well, and users were often getting lost or unsure of what to do next. With Storylane, we’re able to provide simple, clear guidance before the trial/ in our trial email flow, which has helped users navigate more easily.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane allows us to create click trough demonstrations of our SaaS product that we use in our demand generation effort.
Good Interactive Demo Software
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has allowed us to create interactive demos for our software products. I like the flexibility to use screenshots or HTML capture and the editor on the HTML backend is making a lot of improvements.
Their customer support team has also been incredibly patient and helpful when working through some issues. Pranay has been a great help and I know he's got a team of engineers supporting some of my tickets as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
My company software is very html heavy, so capturing and getting to the correct HTML levels took me a while, which of course isn't a Storylane issue. That said, we've been trying to embed a Pardot form handler for a custom form into the interactive demo and have not been successful. I think they are more well suited for hubspot and some other CRM software integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to show prospects our platform before they get a demo which helps with pipeline velocity and builds interest. We are also focusing on showing our product differentiation within comparison content with interactive demos for more of a "show don't tell" strategy.
Wonderful tool for sales and customer success use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has been extremely easy to implement and use. We originally started with use cases to support our sales department and have since expanded the usage to other departments such as customer success. Support has been great to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be wonderful if there was a way to allow storylane creators to not be able to edit the storylanes they did not create.

Demo standardization and value proposition

The interface is really easy to use and the results are really powerful

Sometimes find it hard to add in extra screen shots but overall, there aren't really any negatives, its a great tool

We often have leads who "want to see" the product, but they are not ready to meet with our Sales Team. StoryLane allows us to give our prospects what they want, without wasting the time of the Sales Team
