Fast Learning Curve for Creating Personalized, Effective Tours

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
From the time it takes to learning the product to being proficient enough to create personalized and effective tours is very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Storylane sometimes has a weird UI thing where when you try and select font colors and themes it doesn't apply them all in the same way, and so with some refinement over time I think that can get fixed and this can be a complete product. At the moment it requires a bit more manual work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating product tours that are personalized and tell a story bringing out the human element.

Fast, intuitive platform for interactive product demos

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Storylane to give visitors on our website a quick and interactive overview of our creative automation platform. It has become a great way for prospects to explore our product on their own terms.

We were genuinely surprised by how quickly we were able to get started with Storylane. Within just a few minutes, we had the foundations of our first demo up and running. The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, which made the onboarding experience feel effortless.

The Storylane team has also been consistently responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions, even though we’re on a basic plan. On top of that, the analytics are strong, and the enrichment feature has been especially valuable in helping us better understand intent of our visitors.

Overall, a great tool for creating interactive demos quickly and effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing I currently miss is stronger support for mobile-optimized demos. Since a significant share of traffic comes from mobile, it would be valuable to create demo experiences that are better tailored to smaller screens. I’ve seen other platforms approach this with a more carousel-style format combined with explanatory text underneath, which works well on mobile. That’s something I would love to see Storylane develop further.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is helping us showcase our creative automation platform in a much more interactive and scalable way. Beyond just product feature demos, we can also strengthen the experience by linking to relevant case studies, which adds credibility and context for prospects as they explore.

It allows us to attract more qualified leads to book a demo, while also educating them beforehand. As a result, prospects come into conversations with a clearer understanding of our value, which makes sales calls more productive.

We’ve seen a noticeable increase in the overall quality of booked demos, and Storylane has become an important part of how we engage and qualify leads early in the customer journey.

Storylane Makes Product Walkthroughs Feel Real—Easy to Create, Easy to Edit

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane has really helped improve the quality of our product walkthroughs, allowing us to share more insights with new and existing clients, embedding them into our proposals and making the product feel more real. It is easy to use and edit, so that we can really define the key messages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the recordings fail when using multiple screens, and deleting multiple slides at once (multi-select) would help speed up the creation of new walkthroughs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has improved our client engagement, made it much easier for clients to understand specific products, helped us launch and communicate new features. It has helped both the new business and customer success teams in growing. It allows clients to research on their own time, reducing in person demos, but at the same time creating more genuine interest.

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Storylane makes it really easy to do quick, professional onboarding demos and tutorials. We've been using it for our product experience to help new customers understand how to make the most of our software. The AI video avatar functionality is awesome, easy to update, and there isn't much editing work that needs tob e done on our end to make a pretty stellar product tutorial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the lagginess of regenerating AI content can get annoying. The UI can sometimes be confusing around chapters but nothing major.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick product demos that help answer the most commonly asked questions

Simple Demo Creation, Fast Edits, and Automatic Metrics

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s simple to create demos, quick to edit them, and the demo metrics are sent to us automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to report so far. It seems to work better in some browsers than in others. I’d also prefer it if it could run as a desktop app, rather than only as a browser extension.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to create click-through demos for clients. It eliminates the need to record a perfect live video demo just to show product features and functionality.

Simple, Fast Interactive Tours—and a Team That Truly Listens

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s simple, intuitive, and fast. I can create and update interactive tours without friction, which makes it easy to keep content current. On top of that, the team is constantly improving the product and genuinely listens to customer feedback. Their CSM team is great as well!
What do you dislike about the product?
We’ve been using Storylane for a little over two years, and there have definitely been some growing pains. Analytics have historically been a bit limited and not always as clear as I’d like, though I’ve seen meaningful improvements over time. The biggest limitation for us is that tours are designed primarily for desktop and don’t translate to mobile, which can be challenging depending on how prospects are viewing content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us solve the challenge of giving early-stage buyers access to the product without requiring a live demo. Buyers increasingly expect self-serve experiences, and Storylane enables us to create interactive environments where they can explore on their own. This benefits us by increasing engagement, educating prospects earlier in the funnel, and reducing friction in the buying process.

Its just a perfect solution for Demos

  • February 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Storylane is how easy it makes interactive demos feel — both to create and to experience.

Instead of static screenshots or long sales calls, you can actually let people click through your product at their own pace. That self-guided experience makes a huge difference. It feels more natural and way more engaging than just watching a video.

I also really appreciate how fast you can get something live. You don’t need a massive production setup — you can record, customize, add callouts, and publish pretty quickly. That speed is a game-changer for marketing and sales teams who need to move fast.

And honestly, from a buyer’s perspective, it just feels better. You get to explore the product on your own terms, which builds trust.

It’s simple, interactive, and practical — that’s probably what stands out most.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to point out a downside about Storylane, it would probably be that there’s still a bit of a learning curve when you’re trying to create more polished, advanced demos.

Overall, nothing major — just small friction points that show up as you try to do more complex things with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Makes product demos interactive
2. Speeds up sales cycles
3. Reduces repetitive live demos
4. Improves clarity & product understanding
