Storylane has given us the power to make customized demos accessible
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane is very lighweight and the ability to embed demos in landing pages, emails and via personalized links is truly game changing. Very easy to implement, we were able to start building out landing pages and email sequences, including the demos, within 24 hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing tiers are not perfect, I would prefer if code demos we're included at the starter level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a few key challenges:
1. Making our demo accessible, having a link to a demo page or portal from a landing page or email is a poor UX, so being able to embed a version of it directly in the content is huge for us.
2. Adding context, our product has nuance and so the ability to add tooltips and provide more context makes the demo much more valuable for prospects.

Storylane has really helped showcase our product
What do you like best about the product?
Really simple and easy to use. You don't really need to learn much to start using Storlyane, adding in the guides and styling them is pretty self explanitory.
The screen recording feature is really helpful when you want to build a demo very quickly. The way it automatically frames your demo into a mockup browser window is really nice and makes it look extra clean.
Multiple sharing options make it relly versitile in how you can utilise the demos, we embed them in our website but can also share them in emails as links etc.
Brand kit feature makes it much quicker to build demos as we don't have to worry about fonts and colours every time we build a demo.
On the rare occasion we had a bug with a demo, customer support where very responsive.

What do you dislike about the product?
The screen recording feature only works in a browser. So if you want to demo something in a desktop app, you have to purely rely on your own screenshots, which makes building a demo much more time consuming.
It would be good if you could edit the size of the hotspot guide, as a lot of the time it covers or obscures part of your screenshot that you'd liek tobe more visibile, which is quite annoying.
Can't really simulate typing, so if you are trying to demo something that involves a lot of free text editing, it doesn't really translate well.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We lacked any nteractive way of showcasing our Saas product before using Storylane. Now we can build demos for multiple use cases and embed them on the site or share them in emails etc.
Fantastic way to showcase your software
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use, and how smooth the whole experience is for the end-user. The HTML product demos are incredible because of the ability to tweak aspects of the demo after recording it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind - there's actually a whole bunch of things that we're yet to explore that I'm certain would add even more value

Good functionality and easy to get started
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane made getting a product demo up and running on our website quick and (relatively) painlesss. We have a complicated application with several different systems so many of the other embed demo products couldn't work for us or would require major manual work to tag screenshots. Storylane's tool made it easy for us to capture the key parts of our product, customize a flow that tells our story, and get something up on our website really quickly.
We've found this is much more effective than just putting screenshots or a video on as this is the first exposure many people have to our product. In some cases, we've even been able to replace a live product demo with this offline version which saves time and helps us scale.

What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be cumbersome to go through all the screengrabs that emerge while using our product but in general, there's very little to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Storylane first as an offline demo given our team is extremely small. This helps people who are only casually looking for data solutions see the value of our product over competitors in situations where they wouldn't even want to take the time to meet live with someone.
We're excited to expand our use to include a suite of help resources in our help center but haven't yet done so.

Extremely Efficient Demo Video Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane offers a user friendly way to build training and demonstration videos for perspective and current clients. Videos look professional and have proven to be much more efficient than any other video editor I have used in the past. This gives me the ability to provide more support to our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thorn in my side with Storylane at the moment is that you cannot add voiceovers to video clips. As of right now you can only add voiceover script to the flat slides. It would help a lot of the video clips could contain voiceovers as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane is solving the issue of spending hours creating training and demo videos. It cuts time spent performing demo's manually by using storylane videos instead.
Gamechanger for interactive customer education
What do you like best about the product?
Seeing the power of Storylane's interactive demos was a gamechanger for us. The moment I first created a product demo and saw how easy it was to generate through their browser extention, I knew this would be a big value add for us.
While many teams may be using Storylane for Marketing or Sales demos, we are using it in our Support team to provide easy educational guides for customers. Instead of having to read through a long knowledge base article, customers can easy click through a guided demo with Storylane.

What do you dislike about the product?
When creating demos with multiple chapters, it can be a bit cumbersome. I have resorted to recording each chapter and saving in a folder "Demo Sources" and then in a separate folder is where we keep the full demos. From those demos I have to pull the content from the Demo sources to create a multi-chaptered demo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane helps us improve customer education and self service. Since starting to use their interactive demos with our customers, we have noticed a reduction overall in the number of live chats and emails that our Support team is handling for the topics covered in the demos we have made.
A fantastic way for someone with no marketing experience to build a demo!
What do you like best about the product?
Storyline has helped me bring my product to life for potential investors. The simplicity of use (as another SaaS founder looking to simplify a process) is fantastic and with little to no previous knowledge of demo software or even much use of screen recording software I created a full interactive guided demo of our software.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some small areas that would increase productivity, for instance a spell checker across the bubble inputs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane has saved me hundreds by negating the need to outsource this process.
Game changning for our user onboarding!
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about Storylane is how intuitive and user-friendly it is. I went from being a new user to feeling like an expert in no time. Within a day of signing up, we were already sending Storylane-powered walkthroughs to our clients. It's such a massive improvement over the clunky, long videos we used before. Storylane has truly been a game-changer for us!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only small issue I've encountered is that the Zendesk article embed seems to be broken at the moment, but Storylane's support team is actively addressing it. Other than that, I can't recommend it enough.

Storylane has helped us solve the challenge of scalable user onboarding and enhanced our help desk articles by embedding specific walkthroughs. This has improved the overall client experience and streamlined our support processes.
Easy to create powerful and intuitive demos

So basically I was able to create a demo using Storylane that shows how our platform works, this way we save time and efforts making it automatically easy.
Great tool, a real game-changer
What do you like best about the product?
It's a very intuitive and easy tool that offers flexibility and very precise data. We've seen a real difference on our website since we have implemented Storylane. And it has a great integration with HubSpot!
