Great tool for interactive demos
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to create interactive demos through the extension. The interface makes it pretty easy to edit, add animations, or blur demo screens. The option of CRM integration and adding forms to the demo makes it seamless to collect high-quality, high-intent demos.
What do you dislike about the product?
HTML demos come in the higher tier plan and it tends to be expensive for early-stage startups.

The ability to create engaging, interactive demos easily, and their customer support, and the AI features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The HTML based demos have been glitchy in the past, so I stopped using them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storylane provides an easy way to show and tell in a storytelling manner, and communicate complex ideas into a digestable format. It has benefited our lead generation greatly.
Great introduction to interactive demos for a beginner
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a user of Storylane's free version; I created my first screenshot interactive demo to test on our website. It was incredibly easy for me to set up the Chrome extension and get started. The interface is extremely intuitive, and didn't need to rely on support to troubleshoot. I can't speak to more complicated use cases like HTML interactive demos, but for screenshot demos, it was great!
What do you dislike about the product?
The automatic screen capture on the Chrome extension was a bit cumbersome for me. I needed to recapture some screens, but there was no way to rename the screenshots in the library. Things started looking very similar, so I wish there was a way to name the screenshots you upload or some sort of recency sorting (newer screens first, etc.).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted a way to center our product more on our home page. Interactive demos are helping us do that.
Flexible Onboarding Content Creation With AI-Powered Tools
What do you like best about the product?
Storylane gives us an impressive mix of flexibility and polish. I appreciate how easily we can create interactive onboarding flows that combine AI voices, talking head avatars, and guided walkthroughs without needing a full video production team. The platform makes it easy to test different content formats in one place, from screen recordings to embedded workflows and voiceovers, giving us full control over the buyer experience while keeping pace. The AI voices sound natural, the interface is intuitive, and the customization options make it simple to align with our brand. Even the free version is robust. After seeing the sales demo, it’s clear that the full platform unlocks even more powerful opportunities across marketing and product enablement. Looking forward to exploring the tool more.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this stage, there’s nothing that stands out as a drawback. I’m still early in my exploration of the platform, so I haven’t encountered any major limitations or issues. As I continue building and testing more advanced use cases, I’ll have a clearer sense of where it shines and where there may be opportunities for improvement. So far, the experience has been smooth and promising.

Storylane is helping us rapidly create interactive onboarding experiences for new clients without relying on design, engineering, or video production resources. Instead of static PDFs or long recorded demos, we can deliver dynamic, self-guided walkthroughs that feel personalized and engaging. This speeds up our onboarding process, improves clarity for new users, and reduces the time our team spends on repetitive training tasks. It’s allowing us to scale a more polished and consistent customer experience with minimal lift.
Great way to quickly create a product demo
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can easily create a product demo without having to download special software or learn some easy tool. It's super easy to use the plugin or drop in screenshots and then create the guide/walkthrough. We're also constantly changing our product and it's easy to update the demos when necessary. We don't have to start from scratch and can just change a couple of screens without changing everything. I also like that there are a few different options for the walkthroughs - you can just have arrows to point at things, you can make it more interactive and guide through the clicks, or you can do a mix of both.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found any downsides. I know there are several competitors, but there isn't anything that makes me want to go try them out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to quickly walk prospects through our platform as a teaser to a full demo with a sales rep. We didn't want to give away too much of the behind the scenes but still wanted them to get a hint of what we're offering. It's a great way to give them a teaser (we could give them a full demo but we save that for a call) that they can do on their own time. Most of the time that's enough for the potential customer to sign up for a true demo.

The modularity and efficiency of the demos is the best I've seen - plus the ease of making them.

Maybe a little more wiggle room - 3 live videos for the free tier would be great

Today’s prospects, clients, consumers, and customers hail from a younger generation. They expect creative, customized solutions for everything from health and beauty aids (HBA) to furniture to food . Social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube are driving discovery and for younger and younger consumers, GenZ (b 1997 to 2012) and older millennials (b 1981 to 1996) are today's influencers destined to become the decision makers of tomorrow, if not sooner.

While an AI-enabled toolset is expected to assist the user in an automated fashion and Storylane does that. AI-enabled tools should also have humans interacting with prospects, clients, consumers of AI-enabled toolsets whenever possible... While this may be more of a personally held belief and I would argue that AI-enabled personalization is the key to the next generation of users, the option for more personalization (e.g, a human interaction) should exist in AI-enabled environments.

Game-changer for creating demos made
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to build interactive product demos in minutes without any support, the chrome extension and editing tools are super intuitive. Great for marketing. The chrome extension captures flows with just a few clicks and the editing tools are intuitive-no-code but powerful. we were able to build and embed personalized demos on our website and emails within a day.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far so good, the design customisation options are slightly limited. there is only small drawback is that the learning curve for advanced demos is bit tracky at first.

it solves the problem of creating interactive demo easily. It also let's prospects explore the product instantly. It has also reduced the drop-off points. It helped us in marketing driving more qualified pipeline with interactive website embeds

Before storylane we would have to spend a lot of time setting up specific scenarios for users to try out our software. Now they are able to get a very real experience without any of the leg work.
