Meltwater is an efficient and easy platform to use
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to search for new contacts by using keywords, location, and beats. It also keeps a running list of my current contacts and is easy to access. I also like how I can view each article if they are positive, negative, or netural.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see a feature where you can look up recent stories going back to a longer time frame than just 90 days. I often am looking for articles from a few years back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is allowing me to generate new leads for local and national media journalists. This helps me to familiarize myself with contacts from various media relations.

Meltwater has an amazing database of contacts and its ease of use allows driven results
Overall a solid Social Management tool with a range of digital add ons

It is a one-stop-shop for a variety of needs.

Social community management tool is clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been our solution for content calendaring, listening and analytics.

There are multiple functions all in one tool. Instead of using three separate platforms, we were able to consolidate and just use Meltwater.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UX/UI of the tool is lacking. The labeling is not intuitive and sometimes difficult to find what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the problem of having multiple tools to accomplish related needs. Also allows for more automation of daily processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Some social capabilities are limited based on the platforms' API, but that happens with all social management tools. Meltwater is different though because of its robust monitoring and reporting features. It is perfect for all-encompassing monitoring and social posting in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
Psychographic, influencer and content preference info equip me and my team to be much more customer/audience-centric.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater is not inexpensive and logins across the various platforms can be a little clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater gives us information about topics and content types that we would not otherwise know. Plus, the system helps us understand how our target audiences consume and interact with content, as well as how these groups identify themselves.
The service is incredibly expensive, but it's important to be instantly aware of media coverage

The interface is very, very, very, very easy to use

Constant "account review" asks by representatives and the failure for a long time to understand our budget cycle; i.e., when we are able to renew

The Best Platform for PR and Social
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to monitor your PR reach is just amazing. Meltwater has helped really understand our market sentiment and expand on that to scale PR, not only in the US but outside as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to sync your emails to show up in the app is something that is a necessary feature and a bunch of other tools have, would love to see it in Meltwater as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measure, scale, and optimize our PR outreach and efforts. It has also played a vital role to understand our social media impact with the social listening tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Meltawater has really nice userfriendly interface which is comfortable to use in daily work. Also it has multiple integrated functions, such as sorting of various media platforms & analytics, tagging specific content
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunaltely I would miss a function of adding "preferred" sources, such as media channels (specific magazines) where I would be interested to see first coming news on my searches

it is definately saving time on using external tools and is good automated tool. so basically it helps to do job faster and more efficient with media monitoring

I find Meltwater is a good tool with nice support team, who are helping by chance. Also the academy helps with further questions

It integrates all digital platforms including news and blogs, besides social media.

Sentiment analysis is not accurate, and the platform doesn't learn from what we re-clasificate.

What do you like best about the product?
We currently use Meltwater to track our media presence and it has been helpful detecting media coverages that I would otherwise not be able to discover. The share of voice option is also great to show how our organization is faring against similar groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the graphics could be improved. I use another listening tool and that competitor has better visual charts and graphics that look modern and can easily be shared for reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have limited manpower for communications work so having Meltwater is like having additional personnel that helps with analysis. I have someone/something that can do daily monitoring so I can focus on implementing strategy and writing.

It's important to fully understand its features so you can maximize your use. It's a powerful system with robust data but it's not always user-friendly.
