Airtable is infinitely adaptable and easy to use with teams.
What do you like best about the product?
I can just start, either from a template or from a basic beginning. I use Airtable for a variety of data from storing research logs, or submission data. As an artist I really appreciate that it's a visually pleasant environment. I've also found collaborators are willing to try and stick with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can get complicated in terms of managing dates and time zones, especially if everyone is not on the same time zone or even if you travel and enter data about the first time zone while on the road.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It stores files, including images at high quality and is very helpful for archiving a vast amount of digital assets. I also use it to manage works flows and financial data.
An Excellent Data Management System!
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to see your data in multiple ways - different views, filters, sorts, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the forms could use a little love. They work well, but require a lot of setup - conditional formatting, automations, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data management all in one place. Updating data once updates it across all spreadsheets (if it's synced). Less spreadsheets!
Excellent for small businesses!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease and potential for customization! As a small business, I need to track data and the large software companies and expensive. With Airtable I'm able to accomplish the same tasks and keep it within my budget. Highly recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so much that airtable is capable of doing that it can be overwhelming. I also have not invested the time to learn about the potential, though. Luckily I had a customer who referred me and was able to offer assistance. Though overall I haven't had much to dislike. I need to use it more and more to keep learning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is solving my issue of finished goods and lot number tracking. Now I konw exactly where my orders and coming in from and the exact lot numbers I've shipped out. It's helped my business record keeping immensly!
Phenomenal tool for organizing information
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to assign tags and filter my information easily. Having all of the different data types available means that I can easily customize each sheet to hold a variety of information, and then organize that information clearly. That's especially true of things like dates, where I can then switch views and create a Gantt chart or see my information as a calendar. There is so much flexibility!
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are going to be exporting your sheets into Excel (which is relatively easy to do) note that any box in which you have multiple tags will create text in one box in Excel (meaning that you can't then filter by those tags in the spreadsheet). You can get around that by using text to columns, but it's a bit clunky if you are hoping to export your data for making graphs. I'm also not sure about Airtable's privacy standards - I would have absolutely loved to keep all of my research data linked sheets, but I didn't know how to communicate the data safety to my ethics review board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Airtable to keep track of all of the papers I have read for my thesis; Airtable makes it very easy for me to keep track of what I've read, and organize that reading by assigning tags. Then, when I take notes on things like gaps in the research, I can find the notes that are most relevant to a certain subfield or area of study.
The versatility of Airtable has some for everyone!
What do you like best about the product?
With some personal ingenuity (or a template) we can create almost any data management system custom built to our business.
What do you dislike about the product?
For more advanced processes, you'll need to teach yourself through the discovery method. Or, a quick Google search to get the know-how from a forum post.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our custom needs for HR and Inventory needed something we could custom build. Airtable never disappointed!
Intuitive platform that's help me get organized
What do you like best about the product?
I find the templates to be super helpful in getting thoughts organized and systems in place. I've used it for everything from personal trip planning to content audits. The ability to customize every Airtable is very helpful and the way the information is displayed works perfectly for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside is trying to convince other people to switch over from Google sheets to Airtable. That's not because of anything inherently wrong with the platform but because we are so entrenched in the Google ecosystem that it's hard to make a change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before I found Airtable, I hadn't found "my" system. The ease of creating new tables, sharing with other people, and finding solutions for all my list-making is an all-around benefit.
Great tool for filmmakers.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to switch between different graphic viewing modes, to move the units with images freely around the workspace, having tags and spaces for comments, controling sizes.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does take quite some time to learn to use this tool, because it has so many features and options. Perhaps it could become even more intuitive and therefore more userfriendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it to develop the story for a documentary. It's flexible enough for this purpose and allows to store many copies of the script in a visual format with images.
Airtable has been a game changer for our small non-profit.
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is remarkably simple to use and understand. Its structure made for an easy transition from spreadsheets to a database. There's a bit of a learning curve, but there's a great support community. Moreover, Airtable is constantly innovating to improve its products.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's very little to dislike! It'd be great to be able to wrap field names--i.e make the field name row taller. I also would love to be able to present data to those outside of the organization in a more attractive format. I think interfaces may solve that problem, but I haven't had the opportunity to explore them. Two-way sync between bases is the final improvement I'd suggest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditionally, we've stored our data in various applications and locations. Accessing historical info is time-consuming, error-fraught, and frustrating. Airtable is helping us consolidate our data; in doing so, it provides a single source of truth. It has also improved the ways that we collect and distribute essential information. Airtable has been remarkably useful. What's most exciting is that we have yet to take full advantage of its capabilities.

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable takes all your data and puts it all in one place. You can eliminate entering data multiple times through functionality like table syncing and linked fields. You dont have to keep using excel or countless Google sheets to store information. Airtable is a database with similar functions to Google Sheets. It's very easy to get started with but offers lots of powerful customizations to take your data to another level.
What do you dislike about the product?
Regarding the syncing, I cant wait until they have two-way syncing offered across all plans. I believe that is going to come out in January 2023. Right now it does make it difficult to modify synced datasets. I also wish there was a way to modify specific data cells OUTSIDE of their specific field types. This would be especially helpful with formulas.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really like the interfaces. It helps my other team members work within Airtable without needing to learn all the bells and whistles. People across multiple departments are able to access information without having to dig for it.
Flexible, Robust, constantly improved
What do you like best about the product?
I like how airtable can be used for so many different projects. We use the a workspace our team built custom for us to track projects, vendors, invoices and budgets. We've also transitioned to planning our social calendars using their calendar views. It is easy to understand and so rewarding to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to increase our storage w/o upgrading to a higher-tier plan. When tracking and organizing our photos in Airtable we quickly ran out of storage space due to the high-res images we uploaded. We found a workaround by uploading smaller photos, however, we'd love to use one table as our primary photo and storage solution without needing to upgrade our entire account. We also use Box so willing to share storage in other places but that is not an option at this time.

Airtable helps us easily manage budgets, provide quick reference points or status updates to leadership, as well as give leadership a quick reference tab to view the high level overview of our accounts.
