The Missing Tool for a Creative Problem Solvers
What do you like best about the product?
How often have you seen people try to house information in an Excel spreadsheet when they actually want a database? Airtable combines the functionality of a database with the user experience standards of Google Sheets -- maybe even better in many respects. Relating tables, categorizing and summarizing information, and building repositories are all better here than anything else I've used. If you are the type of person who can't program, but knows how you'd want to build a tool for yourself and colleagues, you've got to try Airtable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the platform is just a LITTLE too paywalled. Some of the best features to visualize data, for example, require an Upgrade to advanced features. I would be more likely to recommend providing this tool as an option for more people in my organization if I could demonstrate the complete value easily, and with real examples. Airtable offers Pro capabilities for inviting users like candy, so I don't think this would be too hard for them to improve upon.
I have also experienced some challenges with users not really understanding how to input data in the Grid view. As far as I can tell there isn't a good way to add clear notes/annotations as instructions, to ensure data quality, etc.
There is some suggestion that Airtable is enough to replace more structured project management tools. I think it's a bit of a stretch for a team to realistically implement self-service, but you certainly can build mini-apps to support business processes. I guess I'm not surprised their messaging has shifted, but I think the free-form nature is the real benefit (not that it's a great project management tool, because it's not until you take a template and rework it for your needs).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracked receipts; managed client budget allocations and assignments; tracked personnel; built forms for end users; set up collaborative mood boards; built web analytics data dictionaries; organized sales materials...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The only barrier of entry for a solo user is the time to learn it. Give it a try.
If Excel met Google Forms
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of Airtable is the best! The ability to use forms connected to all the features that make Excel so powerful makes this a must have for anyone
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides that I have come across other than the price - the free plan is sufficient for most applications but the paid plan does allow you to do things like brand your forms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is very important for us in event planning, RSVPs, helping us build data tables and databases and much more. Our clients also love the ease of using airtable from their end. We are very happy with it
Good software for high-level project overview and management
What do you like best about the product?
Many different views for campaigns and projects within campaigns. Tagging is also very intuitive and useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to create smaller, more granular subtasks for each campaign, project, task, etc. You can only look at a campaign from a high-level overview.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team primarily uses Airtable for project management and planning. It's helpful for planning out all aspects/projects that are required for each campaign so we can plan ahead.
Overused
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great way to maximize data previously stored in a spreadsheet. It offers great views and data segmentation options.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is trying to fit into too many spaces. I don't find it effective as a Kansan board or content manager. I think they should stay focused on the database features and maximize ways to view and share the data stored. Increasing the number of products integrations offered for free and simplified integration processes would also be beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing and sharing a roadmap of work. We have managed to consolidate the data into a way that is meaningful, but it would have been easier to do and share in a tool created for this purpose.
A good tool for collaboration but sometimes confusing to use
What do you like best about the product?
It's beautifully designed and looks modern. It is suitable for collaboration with a larger team without sending redundant emails. You can group and filter easily and uniquely.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a massive adjustment for first-time users. If there is someone in your workplace who struggles with technology, it is a giant leap from more straightforward methods of sharing progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to track my work and personal projects and recommend the software to others when I want to collaborate. I am more organized and communicative when using Airtable.
Organize and share in real time!!
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is always live. If you make any changes to the content, those you share the workspace with can see the changes as they are being made.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting used to AT being live is a learning curve so "at first" I didn't like that. Give it a little bit to get used to it and it will be the thing you love most!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We do a ton of stuff on AT, where I work. Personally, as an order processor, we keep track of our orders here. We enter the orders to the table and change status as they're moved from OE all the way through fulfillment.
Best tool for database management in market
What do you like best about the product?
It has made my workload easier to manage. Bring all our data together at our fingertips and keep everything in sync across our organization. Along with a visually appealing user interface, Airtable is great for those that are using Excel or Sheets and prefer a spreadsheet display. It also offers the ability to write scripts or create automation. Airtable allows me to organize content for my clients in a convenient manner and share access with selected contacts to specified information.
What do you dislike about the product?
If team members are not aware of the functionality it can ruin the database. Some great features are limited to paid accounts. Integration with other tools would be a little helpful.Records are nor archived, they are either deleted or we can hide them
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Able to create custom views for our monthly tasks and assign them to team members
2. The Best way to communicate spreadsheets within different groups
3. With the calender view it's more easy to configure and prioritize monthly tasks

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are still using a spreadsheet to manage or assign tasks for your group members, then it is high time to switch to Airtable
It is perfect amalgamation of spreadsheet and database

Great UI and developer friendly

It has a great user interface and API support. When you compare with any other online database you will find it more easy simple and powerful.
Its Android application is very useful to assess the database through a smartphone

What do you dislike about the product?
The limit on the professional plane is too low compared to any other competitors.
Other than that it is awesome.
Other than that it is awesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building a specific backend for different integrations of different components in the the application was one of our main concern of using Airtable.
Surely due to its minimal documentations and developer friendly our production time was reduced to lot.

Great Team Tracking Tool
What do you like best about the product?
This is a great portal for a team to track everything from blog articles to costs. You can even add assets. Very organized. It's like excel on steroids
What do you dislike about the product?
You don't have the ability to color code in the free version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking vendors, costs, public relations, backlinks etc. Our IT dept uses it for changes to the database: product changes, color additions, contracts updates. They simply sent out a link to the changes and it is housed all in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The free version works well for our needs. I would wait to see if it satisfies your needs until I started a paid membership.
Like a modern XL!
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Airtable by my VP of Marketing a couple of years ago. At first, It was hard (not the I am not en excel wizard) but once you start learning it, I was able to use the social media calendar, content calendar, and video calendar templates to present plans, and to update daily work. It is a great marketing tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to get used to if you're not into spreadsheets. But this is a way better tool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for project management and working on a calendar for different aspects like social media, content creation, production planning, and quarterly happenings.
