Like a modern XL!
What do you like best about the product?
I was introduced to Airtable by my VP of Marketing a couple of years ago. At first, It was hard (not the I am not en excel wizard) but once you start learning it, I was able to use the social media calendar, content calendar, and video calendar templates to present plans, and to update daily work. It is a great marketing tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to get used to if you're not into spreadsheets. But this is a way better tool!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for project management and working on a calendar for different aspects like social media, content creation, production planning, and quarterly happenings.
A more dynamic, connected spreadsheet for maintaining information.
What do you like best about the product?
You can create different form fields that can be modified easily and filtered. The different sheets can be connected to each other and provide related information for multiple uses.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when you start a new entry (and you're filtering by date) that the default is for the entry to disappear before you've entered the date (if you need to pause and come back to it). You have to go out of the view you're in to get it back and continue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to maintain, project, invoicing and ordering information for a core facility that connected projects to an invoice billed for it and the information available allowed us to create the invoices and keep track of project records.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy user interface. The sleek aesthetic of the software makes it easy and pleasant to use. When it is shared between users, it is not overwhelming for those new to airtable. I am a big fan of the way we can customize and organize different airtable databases. Just the free version allows for many options in ways of customization (ex: different icons to choose from for each base). Another feature I like is the different view options (calendar, kanban, etc.). This feature lets us visualize the data in different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of feature in terms of table organization. For example, there is no function available to highlight a row (change it's color) this is only available in a paid version. Maybe I am just unfamiliar, but I wish there was an option to change the view of a database for only me at times. When you are collaborating with team members and another user changes the format of the data, it changes for all users. This can be frustrating at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using airtable to store and summarize the various research articles our team read and reviewed. We also used it for our research lab for a variety of data organization and project management tasks. I have realized that airtable is a great tool for team projects. The features that allow you to see recent changes and communicate/chat with other team members is very helpful when working remotely and in real time. More recently, I've started using airtable to organize marketing for a side business. The calendar view and list view come in handy when wanting to view posts in different ways.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend to try this out for any project management needs. One thing I would recommend to keep in mind is that airtable is not HIPAA compliant.

Great database design
What do you like best about the product?
I think that Airtable makes database design more accessible to those who aren't experts at databases. You can even create a custom for for data entry. It's easy to search and sort and filter.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UX is a little bit strange when adding a new row of data. But most of the workflows are great. I wish there could be a few more visualizations based off of tags.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Airtable to track customer requests for enhancements with our product.
Great concept, tough execution
What do you like best about the product?
I was a data analyst in a past life ... I should be the ideal Airtable user. I like the concept of building your own software to your immediate business needs. However...
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know of an easy way to transport the environments you've built in Excel/Google Sheets over to Airtable. It may be there, but there is a steep learning curve that I haven't conquered yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to build a Sales Prospecting Tracking environment similar to what I had in Google Sheets and Excel. Were it quicker to get started in Airtable, I imagine I'd have realized some benefits.
A smart Organization and Collaboration Tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility, mobile friendly system with native smartphone and desktop apps, Airtable enables us to organize anything, with anyone, from anywhere at anytime.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product has been great since we deployed, the whole team love it. I hope to continue getting its benefits.

Offering us with numerous organizational templates, equipping us with a quick and easy solution for tracking any event or managing any project. It also offers any sized team a single and centralized platform from which to manage projects customers and ideas.

Airtable is super helpful that one team member can upload content and another can download from a different location.

- It has a learning curve most definitely
- Each user must have a license in order to use Airtable, can make cross-collaboration difficult and expensive as you try to onboard different teams to using it

Does the job... for the most part
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can track my leads in one place and filter views, etc. It also zaps data into Hubspot and Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's really sensitive, and inconsistent. It requires a lot of manual work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zapping data from Airtable to other platforms can be challenging. Benefits are that it works most of the time.
