Build your own database for the win .
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can customize everything on Airtable. We needed a very unusual database due to the population we serve, and although it took some work, it is now built to serve the organization's needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the automation features are difficult to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is keeping much better track of the population served. It keeps us more organized, and makes information easier to find.
Great solution for planning with an interactive spreadsheet
What do you like best about the product?
I have no need for too difficult calculations or databases in order to excellence, Airtable is a fantastic option. I find it incredibly straightforward to utilize Airtable. We offer a lot of materials, including a lot of videos. For every project we have a lot of "simple" samples. Airtable is suitable for anyone from Excel or sheets who want a Table screen. Airtable gives the option to build and write your own scripts. Great for people who have the time to study.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very appealing are the display options. It is difficult to export some online goods. He wanted to be closer to other websites, such as Squarspace, but I didn't need sufficient time to verify that. There is an airtable learning curve. It offers a ton of adaptability and several methods of seeing the same data, which is easy to lose, albeit beneficial. It takes a long time for the new boarding equipment members and often reverses to utilize it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For all - product tracking, notes, sprint tracking, gantt graphics, general tasks, reference documents, etc. we use Airtable For all. We are beginning a new project and I want to use Airtable as soon as possible, one of our essential project management resources. Because of the lack of a GUI, even reactionaries around the mining office have reacted positive thus far.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The models are great and enable some of my favorite colleagues to follow up. Just test it your squad. It is not totally committed unless you know that you are going to accomplish what you need and that the learning curve is worth dealing with.
Perfect for marketing
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility to create different views. It's helped me organize all my projects in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
The linking feature is too technical for me to figure out... I gave up linking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management and collaboration.
On hand project data sheet
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that you can summarize all on going projects and including its other details like amount and project team and so on. Easily track each project. Very handy and accessible using your phone. Live synchronizing on each update of other members.
What do you dislike about the product?
As simple as it is I can't find least function of this. But I can say, this is general and not much into very small details.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With this, site engineers can easily track each project. I can say that this helps for easy project communications and updates from site to office.

For ya'll out there looking for simple and handy project management tool this one is for you.
Fast, Flexible and Familiar
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable makes it easy to add data to a relational database and edit/manage that data without needing a developer. To build a similarly flexible/intuitive UI on top of a custom database would take thousands of hours. Also, the tool's third-party integrations and robust API make it easy to connect the data to other applications so that teams don't have to manage their data pipelines manually. But when a user does need to manage the data through the UI, Airtable's similarities to a traditional spreadsheet make it familiar to the average business user so the required onboarding effort is minimal.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Airtable fields would benefit from more out-of-the-box data validation features (simple example: the email field should throw an error when a user enters a string that is not in email address format)
2. I wish that all Airtable Views could be white-labeled when embedding.
3. Airtable Apps are often the best way to quickly visualize data for an end-user but there is currently no way to embed or make apps accessible to unlicensed users like with Views.

Our team uses Airtable as a collaborative product management tool where we track user requirements and prioritization. We also use it to collect user feedback via form views and as an internal database for datasets that require frequent, manual hygiene.
airtable is the perfect allrounder for managing almost everything
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about airtable is their versatility and how you can quickly adapt specific fields or views to serve your needs. I especially like how you can manage and organize information easily.
It is also great, that you can share different views and formulars with other people. Additionally I really love the community and that there are always new and exciting things, which make airtable even greater.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is really very little I dislike. One thing I would wish for is that you can share certain Blocks with others without having to share the whole base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I organize my tasks.
I also use it to write reports.
I use the color block to manage the color spectrum for my layouts.
I use it to record information to changes in processes. Here I often also use formulas so that others can also contribute without them having full access.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it, and you will see for yourself. Be creative.
Airtable is the most promising business tool that most anyone already familar with Excel can use.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use ( very excel like in terms of how to create the rows/columns and formulas in the data base), It is effortless to create custom dashboards for any number of reasons or viewers that are tailored to the viewer. I can create a new dashboard in just minutes that is fully customized to the viewer for their projects. I can add a new project in just seconds and all I have to provide is the project name and 95% of the work is already completed. I add two numbers and I'm done with a new project for the life of that project. Try doing any of that if tableau. You will still be in training for Months while an Airtable user will be running circles around them in presentation and content and customization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently Airtable has an inability to display embedded URLs in blocks that are behind a firewall, if they could fix this then security concerns could be alleviated but also more information about the project could be included directly as opposed to having to use links that have to be followed. This is a major limitation IMO that they could readily solve but to date have not done so. It its the only thing preventing wide scale adoption IMO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to monitor progress on all projects simultaneously with customizable dashboards for every viewer so they only see what they care about and are responsible for completing.
Colorful, fun, super useful tool!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite things about AirTable are:
-Aesthetics. Everything is visually appealing.
-Ability to easily integrate photos and sound files directly into tables.
-Intuitive, easy-to-learn formulas.
-Easy to slice, filter, and create tailored views.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything about it, but I will say that I sometimes choose to start a table in Excel or Google Sheets instead, and here are the reasons why:
-It's primarily a numbers table. Budgets, financial reports, etc. just make more sense to do in Excel.
-I need other people to add to it. People are more familiar with Excel and Google Sheets, and trying to get them to interact with a program they don't know is a barrier to their participation when it's already like pulling teeth to get people to contribute.
-When I'm teaching kids-- I know they would enjoy AirTable more, but knowing how to use Google Sheets will ultimately be more useful to them, so I want them to build their skills with that format.

For my children's chorus organization, I use AirTable to track our repertoire, enrollment (and years of participation so I can award 3-year, 6-year, and 9-year honor gifts), volunteer roles, and RSVP's to performances (using the Forms feature). I also provide each of my choirs with a table that contains their practice tracks, and love that they can listen to the mp3's directly from the table, without having to download them to their device.
Great tool that is easy to use and very helpful for our business. Recommended!
What do you like best about the product?
Ho easy it is to use, and how functional it is!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much ... I would like to be able to email everyone in a table direct from Airtable - that would be great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a database of students and create views of each training we put together (Yoga Teacher Training). We can share the views with the teachers. We can register through the app attendance rates etc.
Tons of power and flexibility in this "database with an interface"
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is tremendously flexible and has readily handled pretty much everything we've thrown at it. We've used it for product backlog management, user acceptance testing issue reporting and resolution, product roadmapping, contact management, reference guides, etc. If you understand anything about object-oriented design or database design, Airtable is almost an instant power tool. Creating references between tables is tremendously useful, the customizable views allow you to take full advantage of the robust filtering, sorting, and grouping capabilities, and it offers easy collaboration and useful sharing. It's one of my top 5 favorite productivity tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features I'd like to have aren't available on the free version, but that's to be expected. Some of the interactions are a bit fussy/clunky. Overall, I don't have too many significant complaints -- for the things I need it to do, it works very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically anything I previously would've used Microsoft Excel for, I now prefer to do with Airtable. Granted, I'm not doing heavy formulas or pivot tables -- Excel would still be better there. We've found it's a really useful tool to use for collaborating with clients and partners. It's really nimble, and allows lots of flexibility in how we manage and view information, which can help us get more done faster and easier.
