Tons of power and flexibility in this "database with an interface"
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is tremendously flexible and has readily handled pretty much everything we've thrown at it. We've used it for product backlog management, user acceptance testing issue reporting and resolution, product roadmapping, contact management, reference guides, etc. If you understand anything about object-oriented design or database design, Airtable is almost an instant power tool. Creating references between tables is tremendously useful, the customizable views allow you to take full advantage of the robust filtering, sorting, and grouping capabilities, and it offers easy collaboration and useful sharing. It's one of my top 5 favorite productivity tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features I'd like to have aren't available on the free version, but that's to be expected. Some of the interactions are a bit fussy/clunky. Overall, I don't have too many significant complaints -- for the things I need it to do, it works very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically anything I previously would've used Microsoft Excel for, I now prefer to do with Airtable. Granted, I'm not doing heavy formulas or pivot tables -- Excel would still be better there. We've found it's a really useful tool to use for collaborating with clients and partners. It's really nimble, and allows lots of flexibility in how we manage and view information, which can help us get more done faster and easier.
A must have tool for all manner of work flow automation and data sharing. The clear market leader.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share a public viewable but not editable version of any Airtable I've made or have in my account. Conversely the ability to access and collect publically shared Airtables or listicles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having a GlideApps like capability that would enable me to publish an "app" of any of my Airtables..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for all my personal database needs. I am collecting some amazing listicles that provide amazing insights on demand.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think through and map out what you want to accomplish before entering data.
As a designer, I love the option to view data in a way that is easy to see at a glance.
What do you like best about the product?
I love all the ways you can view your data. I like to use the expanded view to put in information. I'm not a big fan of grid views, so being able to view as little or as much as you would like is great.
I also like that I can keep all my data on projects and resumes updated easily.

What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I dislike about airtable yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Airtable for all of our project information, including photos that are best to use in proposals. I also use it to populate our website. The great thing is, if there is an updated photos, or updated text for a project all I have to do is update it in Airtable and it automatically updates our website.
I also use it to keep everyone's resumes updated for proposals.

Airtable improved everything -- at work and at home
What do you like best about the product?
It's versatile enough to accomplish most tasks but simple enough that most people can learn to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't wrap text in field names. Syncing between bases is great, but 2-way sync isn't possible yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable streamlined our processes, and it allows the distributed team to be on the same page. I also use Airtable at home to organize recipes and to organize my content calendar and expenses for my freelance writing. It can do almost anything, and I use it for everything!

It actually does what it is supposed to do
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy to use this program is. it's incredibly easy to not only create and save content but, most importantly, be able to find it again. I actually started using to store my sewing patterns but have carried it into my workplace to manage my VA
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a little bit of a learning curve but hang in there, it's worth it I promise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just the learning curve
Best data organization systemI've used
What do you like best about the product?
The functionality of both Trello and Excel is my favorite part. It's like a datasheet. Or a spreadbase. (I'm a writer; I make up words.)
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to send entries from one base to another. But unfortunately, that functionality doesn't exist. It's the only thing I don't like about it. I also wish I could search an entire base, instead of individual sheets in the base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving so many problems I don't know where to start! First, I'm keeping tarck of my extensive library. I've got 30 places where I keep books, and I can find any of them by going through Airtable. I keep track of my company's branding info in Airtable.I also use it as a CRM, a content management system, and a running brain dump.
Airtable - Best organisation tool ever
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is good for organising anything. I love that they have pre made templates for inspiration but I also like that it's easily shareable with third parties without needing to login
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike airtable! Just wish that some of the premium features were free!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use airtable to manage my property search detailing all the information of the properties I have viewed with links included.
The options are endless with Airtable
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing for me is that there are few things that you can't do with a database. A database is the central hub of most software programs and most companies. Airtable takes databases to the next level while remaining user-friendly enough to use your data. The introduction of integrations and automation is a true changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback for me was the fact that you can't create view-only (guests) under the paid plan. For example, if you share a table with someone, on the paid plan you still have to pay for them per month to access it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving the problems of managing my data in ways that make the most sense for me. Whether its managing inventory or employees, or potential clients, I can do it in Airtable. It's easier to use than Excel, and with the integrations I can connect to other systems I might be using. Honestly, as it continues to grow, I could see it replacing some of my other apps.
A resource for anything and everyone
What do you like best about the product?
What I love best about airtable is the fact that you can control your project management design AND be inspired by the countless templates at the same time. There is not an expectation that you be an expert. The simple bases are helpful. The complex bases are helpful. And being able to know that you can customize your bases to work best for YOU, and have it be very user-friendly, is a huge resource, especially for folks who are used to having complex projects, but do not like to use complex tools in order to organize them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the # of features that require us to go to third-party applications and pay for additional licensing. After investing in enterprise for example, or even pro, adding additional licensing for an organization with limited resources or a limited budget for technology, is an even harder sale than getting the airtable licensing is. This sort of curtails the efficiency of airtable - in the eyes of those who don't use but fund it or pay for it - and creates additional steps that the folks in need of user-friendly tools are thrown off by.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With airtable, I am bringing different public and private entities together to collaborate on serving community members. I'm also assisting with the development of an update to our emergency operations plan, our county strategic plan, and affordable housing strategies. Additionally, I've been using airtable to create bases for community oriented departments and groups to be able to work across organizations and within organizations more efficiently, and to streamline their communication around services. I use airtable frequently as a way to get feedback from different stakeholders, and as a way to schedule important conversations. Airtable has allowed me and my colleagues to not only enter data into a database, but to create entire systems and workflows that make sense for us, while also being able to have an external product that our community can see. It's allowed virtual meetings to be even more productive, because of all the work that can be done at the same time in a helpful format, versus the same format that google sheets or excel or google docs come in. I've also been able to enjoy the attachment feature in external facing forms. This is something that has really changed record keeping, and that helps a lot of the processes I'm invovled in.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would set aside time to look through the guide, and also to attend one of the live trainings as well as one of the pre-recorded trainings. Keep a notebook and jot down tips or tricks that you think you'll need in the future, this will help you remember and use it and become more comfortable with the platform.
