Excellent software to manage multiple projects

  • August 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is the greatest way to organize your data, keep track of your expertise, and create and share information with others. As a CRM, sub-equipment task manager, and social media calendar, we utilize Airtable. Real individuals have prepared various lists, planning templates, research and content or budget plans, etc. It's great to be able to look at other people's templates, and it's helped me discover new ways of working. Customers and coworkers can view your calendars, giving you superpowers when it comes to managing projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The choices for enhanced text need to be improved. "Alternate" can simplify the view for me because I can't add enough abstractions for my team's duties. Having many spreadsheets on a single basis complicates the display. Could they benefit from an overview of the page's layout? Perhaps a glimpse of the code editor would be helpful. Costly, and sometimes you just want someone else's opinion without it being included to your base. My proposal is that an account should only be charged by the owner, as everyone benefits from it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great way to keep track of various projects. Your data may be categorized, filtered, and attributed to certain persons. It can also be grouped. As a result, I can always locate what I am searching for with ease because to the templates' excellent organization. Additionally, I'm able to keep an eye on what has to be done at all times by going down through each column on the screen view of the table and seeing everything visually in front of me at any one moment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Instead than using Trello, consider using Airtable instead. It is possible to have many "bases" and access them quickly from the home page. The base may also be shared with other individuals via the sharing link. When it comes to organizing projects, Airtable comes in handy since it allows you to add tasks in order of importance, give deadlines based on daily work time and organize files into different categories with subfolders all in one place. Start using templates and modify them to fit your needs if you're unsure where to begin.

Amazing project management tool and data management hero!

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite part about Airtable is how versatile and customizable it is. I use Airtable for a variety of professional and personal tasks including financial record keeping, project management, idea workshopping, content scheduling, and more. Airtable allows me to easily view, manage, and manipulate information in a number of different layouts, which is incredibly beneficial and convenient. I also like how clean the user interface is and how easy it is to get going with a new project. I have been using Airtable for years and have introduced a number of people to the platform, especially for project management tasks. Everyone has always been impressed with how great a tool Airtable is for organizing information in a consolidated, concise, and easy to look at format.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not too much I dislike about Airtable for how I am currently using the platform. I know there are a number of paid features that you can upgrade to for a monthly fee. I have not looked too in-depth to see if some of these features, so maybe some of them would cover feature requests that I wish were readily available on the site. For example, I would love to be able to fill cells, rows, and columns with a background color similar to a spreadsheet program like Excel or Sheets. It would also be nice to be able to change fonts and font sizes/color. These are not features I would need to use all the time, so if they do exist as a premium feature, it's not worth it for me to upgrade to. The subscription upgrade model for paid features is very expensive, especially if you've invited multiple collaborators to a workspace. Essentially you will need to pay a monthly fee for each person that has access to the workspace, which adds up quickly. This is a cost that applies per workspace, so if there are multiple workspaces you want to upgrade that all have multiple people... well, you can see how things would get expensive. The model Airtable uses for its paid add-on features is pricey, which is why I'm not familiar with the features -- I don't even want to look to see what there is because it doesn't make sense for me as a small business or individual user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in the live entertainment business and Airtable does an amazing job of helping keep track of information related to the event tours I am a part of. I can organize tons of information for different cities, shows, and theaters that other members of the team can reference and contribute to. It's a great tool that allows us to easily organize and sort through a lot of small details.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are someone who still uses basic spreadsheets for data management or project organization, I would HIGHLY recommend giving Airtable a shot. The ability to manipulate, sort, search, and generally find information is so much better than any other application I've used. It's a powerful database tool that can be applied to a broad amount of scenarios.

Beautiful spreadsheets and database tool

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is probably the most straightforward software for spreadsheets and data on the market. It's so easy to organize data, simple to collaborate with coworkers, and has several apps to integrate. The interface is very user-friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found one thing that I dislike about Airtable!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable allows collaboration on entire databases, not just individual sheets such as Google sheets or excel. Also, Airtable is more user-friendly, so one does not need to be an expert at Excel to complete basic tasks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to collaborate on databases, don't waste your time looking at other software. Airtable is everything you need and more.

One of the Best Collaborative Project Management Tools Available

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use, the intuitiveness of the software, the platform itself, and that the free version offers enough features that it's still very feasible in which to work collaboratively. I love the ability to create a calendar based on date fields, the ability to create different views of the same Airtable, and the functionality in general. Also, the email notifications you can set up for when others add to Airtable, etc., are fantastic for ensuring you don't miss anything new.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing stands out as a massive dislike. I think that for experienced users, it's relatively intuitive, but new users will most likely need training to understand the platform's full functionality. So in that way, it's not quite as intuitive as it could perhaps be, but I believe that would be an issue with any brand new software. It is incredibly easy to explore and play around within Airtable to learn, however, which I think is very beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main Airtable project currently is updating and maintaining a database that shows all licenses my company and sister companies have across our organization. This allows the CRO of our parent company to review all licenses 6-months before their expiration in order to know when to begin any necessary negotiations. It's been incredibly valuable using Airtable to get this massive project collaboratively worked on.

Really good if you know how to use it

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the things I loved most about Airtable is its immensity. You can create a lot of relations that eventually you'll be allowed to correlate each variable. They have a lot of tools that can be used to generate statics and metrics (for example) and each table can have personalized access.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little bit difficult if you're already using other tools (like Jira or Notion) to transfer data and keep it simple for your team. If you have used a tool like this, you'll be able to manage the basics fast enough so your process won't be affected, but if it's not the case even basics can be a little bit hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a huge management tool. You can keep track of tasks and have statistics in the same place.

Great collaborative spreadsheet application, lots of customization, unlimited use cases

  • August 17, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable stores a lot of information in spreadsheet format, making it incredibly easy to use and multi-functional. It also loads incredibly fast for the amount of data it contains. We have some sheets with over 10 tabs that each contain thousands of rows of data.

Great that it's also very collaborative and shareable across the team. Customized views make a HUGE difference for team usage. The fact that it's web-based makes sharing very easy.

Also a fan of the color scheme that Airtable has. It's bright and eye-catching without being distracting or blinding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside for our team is that Airtable is not always consistent when it coordinates with other tools, which has given us some headache. Data will occasionally go missing because of wonky-ish integration.

There is also a bit of a learning curve since it's different from a standard spreadsheet product like Excel.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as a project management tool, CRM, and ATS. It's pretty impressive how multi-functional it is.

Nothing really comes to mind. It's a great resource

    Non-Profit Organization Management

Airtable

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Allows you to link attachments to data entries and allows syncing between tables/bases. Also their forms & automations are super useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The admin portal is limited. Certain features that you would expect aren't there (like ability to change the background color of all cells in a row). It's not actually a project management tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to save attachments and use automations. It saves time.
