A great tool for a small company but our niche business does have some difficult use case issues

What do you like best about the product?
This is the first project management tool our company has used and it is allowing our small business to compile information, contacts and project management all in one place. I also like the different views available for the bases that has been very helpful for the team to visualize projects in different ways. We see a lot of pro's and possibilities for this program to organize our company and look forward to continue using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
In our company we are constantly updating our client and contact databases with past and new contacts. The fact that airtable does not prompt a user that a contact or company record is already added to a base is a VERY big issue for our team and causes a huge time and resource loss when entering data.

The record templates are also a cause for issues. Once a template is applied to a record, if there are new updates to a template it doesnt not prompt or ask if those updates should be added to the records it has already been applied to. This causes the team to do double work when new tasks are added. I also dislike that record templates created in one base can not be imported or duplicated into another base.

I dont feel that the customer service assistance as been very helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management. customer management, organization management

A dataBase for Anything

What do you like best about the product?
You literally can build ANYTHING in Airtable. To date I've used Airtable to help colleagues share resource, created a member directory, bug tracking system, content pipeline, mentor program, strategic plan tracker, multiple feedback forms and so much more. I love how flexible the software is to display the data exactly how I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how some features are embargoed behind higher levels of service. While I use Airtable for lots of different types of things, at the end of the day we are a small team (using the Team plan) and there are a few security settings (such as base visibility for creators) that should be included with that level. I also wish there was a good solution for coordinating projects with outside vendors that did not require them to have a "seat." There's just one Base I need to coordinate with our team on and I have to pay for all them to have access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy and transparent display of objectives.

Airtable is an incredibly intuitive, flexible, and powerful for me!

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has been a game-changer for me. It’s incredibly intuitive, flexible, and powerful—I used it for building out my reference database. I love how easy it is to organize, filter, and collaborate, all while keeping everything visually clean and customizable. It's made managing complex information so much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say the lack of support - when I have a question or need help with a functionality, it's impossible to speak with a human. I have to looked through tutorials online, which makes it super time consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Airtable as a customer reference database - we have it integrated with SFDC. It's a great, easy way to manage my customer reference pipeline and database. I can easily share withthe rest of the business so they can see our content and references.

Game Changer!

What do you like best about the product?
We use Airtable mostly for marketing event planning and management.

The most valuable thing by far is being able to view your data in a million different ways. I love that we can create different views to hide certain fields, or look at things on a calendar view, gallery, or traditional grid. I also love the filtering and grouping features.

If you have a huge database of information, having dozens of columns can get very unwieldy to sort and digest in a traditional table like Google Sheets. Airtable table makes it easy to see the most important information when you want it, in a way that makes the most sense to each individual user.

It's also very intuitive and easy to use- one of those tools where you can find what you're looking for just by clicking around for a second.

I evangelize Airtable to anyone who will listen!

We use it for business, but I believe everyone could find a great use case for it in their lives.

Some other nice to haves:
-Love the colorful UI and assignment of various colors to new categories- helps the labels stick out
-Lots of customizability and automation
-Very flexible in general-- if you think it, you can probably do it
What do you dislike about the product?
-While I really like the interfaces feature for viewing data in a yet another easy to digest way,I dislike that it is not married to the grid like the other views are. The UX of leaving the grid to go into interface "mode" is not as fluid as I would like it to be. I also think interfaces can be even cleaner/better looking.

-Cost structure: No free collaboration for non-power users-- When we first started using Airtable, we were amazed by how much we could do for free. Soon, however, we realized we need to upgrade to access things like the start/end date calendars. We have since added a few more members to our base that need to come in a view certain things in the grid, but they would have to become a monthly paying member to create their own view. I’d personally rather pay flat rate than have to add $ to our monthly cost every time we grant access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Airtable, we had a massive Google spreadsheet with dozens and dozens of columns to track every aspect of our marketing event planning process (conference status, info for main contact, location, start date/end date, workshop details, location, region, representative, expected numbers, costs, etc etc). Most if not all of these categories of details were crucial to know at some time or another, but it was very difficult to digest the information at a glance and made collaboration a pain as well.

Airtable and its multiple views and automations has helped us immensely in our planning process.

It was efficient and intuitive.

What do you like best about the product?
It worked great as a database I could interact with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like there could be a better way to display the different datasheets. We would have many and it was difficult to remember where they were in a long list at the top.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us keep track of data and details for contracts we were drafting proposals for.

A Great Option for Internal Workflows

What do you like best about the product?
Its like a spreadsheet on steroids! We are able to build out custom workflows with the automations and interfaces for multiple facets of our business, from shipping logs to internal work orders everything is linked together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the automations has a bit more built in features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to link our project database to a base then have all of our internal tools able to access and tie things back to a given project.

Airtable has been effective in presenting our work to our sales team in an efficient manner.

What do you like best about the product?
Our agency uses Airtable to present all the branded content we've created to our sales team so they have examples of our work to point to when pitching clients. Airtable allows for us to tag entries by various advertiser verticals or story telling methods so reps can easily find examples that fit their needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding things to Airtable duplicates other work we do. I need to explore options for automating the population of information on Airtable. In the past, I attempted to use their forms, but there was issue with how attachments would be delivered that would not meet our needs. I should check to see if there have been improvements with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a database of all the branded content we create and allows reps to filter the database to find the examples they need for sales pitches.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is very user-friendly and allows me to keep track of thousands of records. I can quickly pull up reports to show to users or supervisors. Importing existing records was seamless. I have not had to use customer service and can usually find solutions to my problems on the forum. I use this every day, multiple times a day. The tables easily integrate with our website and can be shared easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable does lack detailed customization in their extensions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing projects and being able to quickly analyze the status of our facility.

Project management essential!

What do you like best about the product?
As a Project Manager, Airtable helps me keep my team on track and organized. The features are incredibly customizable and it feels like there is a solution for every need. We utilize Airtable daily from cross-departmental projects to personal tasks. It is intuitive, easy to learn, and has integrated into our processes seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm a bit confused with the amount of users that can access a specific base and the fees associated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable has solved our organization roadblocks and acts as one centralized source of truth when it comes to our projects. We are able to collaborate, see what other teams are completing towards our common goal, and use the tracking data to firm up our processes for future projects.

Spreadsheets Replaced

  • April 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use Airtable for project management and benchmark data tracking. We used to have this data on spreadsheets but it has become so much easier to enter data and get updated information using the dashboards features. The flexibility of the software has made it very helpful to implement our needs and turn it into a robust database.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface functions still need some work, making them more available and functional on the mobile app. There have also been situations where I can't quite get the data I need due to Airtable's limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable has allowed us to put our data in a place where it's available to the right teams at the right time without too much questions needing to be asked. It saves time. It has also made it possible for our data to get updated more frequently. In the past, when using spreadsheets, it was a tedious process that was too cumbersome and demotivating. Now we just fill out a form!
