Great for overview of project management.
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable provides a great overview for all ongoing projects for a number of departments - marketing, sales, new product features, etc. It's easy to add coworkers, assign due dates, and establish timelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is not optimal for managing software development. Also, there are so many potential things you could utilize Airtable for, it can be overwhelming. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I'm letting potential customers know that Airtable is much more than Excel or Smartsheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable offers a lot more features than products like Excel and Smartsheet. There is more variety to row/column assignments and I love that you can get email notifications when someone mentions you on a project or changes a status.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can, schedule a demo with an Airtable rep so you can go through the important features that will be most helpful to your business.
Powerful yet accessible
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable feels a lot like a spreadsheet, which makes it easy to get started—but it offers more advanced functionality in an easier to use interface when you need it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because it is a database tool, wrapping your head around how records and fields relate to each other in a more complex setup can be confusing, but Airtable's documentation does an excellent job of explaining things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We moved our vendor pricing records to Airtable. We've seen so many benefits from this. It's faster and easier to update pricing, we can track when records were last updated or changed, and we can share custom views with other people in the company (while hiding fields they shouldn't see).
Exceptional potential with some weird drawbacks

Best Collaboration Tool Available
What do you like best about the product?
This software makes life so easy with its amazing easy-to-build database sheets. As advertised, you can organize and create any database within Airtable.
What do you dislike about the product?
This software is no Microsoft Excel rival, but it comes in very strong with autosave features, customization, collaborative abilities, and mobile app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This reliable software helps with tracking, data storage, collaboration, and realtime updates when others make changes.
A bit of a learning curve, but Incredibly flexible
What do you like best about the product?
There's so much flexibility, Airtable can be used simply, but also allows you to create beautifully interlinked databases.
Being able to flip between different views (spreadsheet, cards, kanban) means that you can display the information in a format that makes most sense for the task. It also means you don't need to flip between platforms and could go to Airtable for your accounting spreadsheets, kanban style todo list and also set up a moodboard.
If you like Trello you should definitely check this out.

What do you dislike about the product?
If you put the time in you can learn the ins and outs and create amazingly complex databases. However, the ability to do so much might be off putting for some who are just looking for something simple.
For example, you may find that Google Sheets or Trello provides what you need without unnecessary distractions.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were going to use Airtable to manage client deliverables, contact management and time tracking. In the end though we realised that we would very quickly surpass the free and paid for limits.
Despite this, I'm still a fan and have no doubt I'll be returning to Airtable in future. It's well worth a look especially for individuals and small teams.

Airtable is awesome for what it is
What do you like best about the product?
Completely cloud-based, very intuitive UI. Simplifies database building for an every-person user.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free base product is pretty functional but any kind of customization requires paid plans which can be expensive quickly if you need to have a number of collaborators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it to create a content management system for an app I'm building. It lets me put content in a structured format with an API that can be called to feed the data into the backend of the app.
The possibilities seem endless!
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility is just phenomenal. I was very impressed from the first time I opened Airtable and started creating my bases and tables for visualizing and organizing information in different ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not run across many things that do not seem to be user error/ignorance. I have found myself confused on some of the linked fields, thinking it would do more than it does, like sync wherever I have that field in different tables.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using Airtable to create a feedback library to easily tag and sort items for reference and tie feedback to specific people, customers, research sessions, etc. and we have gained a really easy way to see an overview of feedback per user/customer and organize our research.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Airtable can handle some pretty creative solutions for the task you are trying to accomplish. It was neat to envision something and have airtable make it easy to make it happen!
Excellent platform
What do you like best about the product?
It’s extremely organized, easy to use, easy to share and create multiple bases. Great for projects and for onboarding.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that some features in the free version are limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to organize all my onboarding tasks in a detailed base. The grouping, sorting and filter options make it really easy to organize and categorize everything. I can make multiple views for different uses. I also love using it for creating action plans for major projects and assigning roles to colleagues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the guides and tips for the best experience with Airtable. I learned a lot through the tutorials and I am more productive with it.
