Most efficient database
What do you like best about the product?
I love the security and organization of Airtable. Everything in Airtable practically has tutorials or help articles so you'll never feel helpless. It can also handle many records or data entries while still being efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how you are limited to only 50 automations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me and my company, Airtable makes it easy to manage, create, and edit records or fields in my database. This benefits us because it reduces our workload on records. Automations has also been really helpful for us.
Good tool for moving BI adhoc development to users
What do you like best about the product?
Its a easy tool to use, and it has a great look. After investing some time in writing some scripts to pump data from our database into some source Airtable Bases, it was very easy for end users to create adhoc reporting and data capture applications that IT did not have the resources to create. It works particularly well for agile development which is useful when the users don't have a precise idea of what they need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that when a users sends a link to an AirTable Base it automatically tries to create a new account which seams like a shameless way to drive up revenue. I would much prefer to see a free or low cost option to allow readonly access by certain users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are still developing our best practices for job scheduling and management, and AirTable provides a way to do this and allow quick iterations.
Airtable makes me more efficient and allows me to quickly look at data to make quicker decisions.
What do you like best about the product?
One table can feed multiple tables so I only enter data once.
What do you dislike about the product?
The code can be complicated and I don't have the time to learn the code to go deeper with my data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple people accessing one datapoint.
Airtable is THE key for data and project management
What do you like best about the product?
In our industry we collect data from multiple sources. Having a product that is compatible with them through API is key to successfully compiling information, reviewing data, and providing reporting to our internal and external customers. We are able to easily obtain high level summaries on an ongoing basis while providing real-time reports to our clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable is not as flexible for designing printed reports or summaries. However, we are still able to download the data and organize them such that they are aesthetically appealing for final reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable provides real-time access to data and reporting for our management consulting firm and our clients.
Improves organization, visibility, and efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
I love the seemingly unlimited functionality and customization you can achieve with Airtable. They have hundreds of templates that work straight out of the box and it's super easy to tweak 'em however you want or even build one from scratch. The more you USE it, the more USES you find for it, and the more you wonder how you lived without it. It's quick to learn, easy to use, and great for both team and personal use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I might be remembering incorrectly, but I'm pretty sure they've upped the ante to use certain features. Ones that used to be free are now behind a paywall or require an upgrade. However, I've been on a few different subscriptions so I could just be getting them mixed up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a business standpoint, Airtable has given us much more visibility into projects and people so we can manage both more effectively. It's greatly improved organization and communication within our team and when working with freelancers/agencies.
Solution for Lots of Moving Parts
What do you like best about the product?
This tool has been especially helpful for managing large volumes of data that needs to be administered for a large pool of program participants. It easily disseminates the information for those folks, while also keeping everything manageable for me as the admin. Most important to that is the function of Automations and extensions, that allow AirTable to have some of the functions of a CRM, with much greater flexibility to manipulate and filter data as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occassionally, there are clearly missing features that would be standard on other products. like allowing for records to update in 2 directions, so if the data is changed in one place, that is reflected in the other. Typically AirTable only allows for 1 directional updates, except in certain scenarios with syncing that often requires data to be managed down to very small details.
Also, while the tool really works great for non-users that just need to access information or fill out a form, it has a pretty steep learning curve for users. It very much needs an admin, and either a unanimous agreement on how data will be entered by users or extremely meticulous attention to detail in setting up the initial sorting/plan for each base and dataset.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It primarily solves our need for spreadsheets that easily cross reference each other, so we only have to edit data in one place to have it updated everywhere. This specifcally allows us to have different views for different needs, and speeds up a project.
It also solves some 1-1 communication challenges by allowing for easy automated communication based on dynamic data, which eliminates steps for us as a very small team.

A very capable and versatile product that is constantly improving.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the functionality it has to offer, which is available out of the box.
It has a nice balance between ease of use and functionality.
Novice users can implement a quick and easy solution in no time, while more advanced users have a lot to work with.

What do you dislike about the product?
Certain restrictions make it needlessly expensive or limited. For example stronger integration with storage solutions like Google Drive.
Customer support is not the most responsive, but the community is usually fast to step in.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it as a custom warehouse and order managment solution, among other things.
Excellent software that went from work-only use to personal life management system
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to automate functions and trigger specific groups based on certain input criteria. Setting up fields and automations is very easy and it is very easy to train personnel to interface and build their own systems. Using this not only as a daily task tracker, but also an inter-departmental communication channel makes cross functional processes operate smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
The differences between mobile and desktop interfaces make certain functions more difficult to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management, record keeping, communication, action team triggers through automation
Excellent for managing arts databases
What do you like best about the product?
I used AirTable to manage a nonprofit's database of new play scripts and reading process. It was incredibly versatile, intuitive for new users, and portable compared to our previous work in FileMaker. We still use AirTable as a core part of the team's daily information management.
What do you dislike about the product?
As our database grew in size, the ease of navigating AirTable was sometimes noticeably slower -- we would have happily paid for lower latency but it wasn't an option that was readily available for purchase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Airtable, we were able to organize scripts submitted by playwrights (including PDFs), track on the progress of the script through our organization, and also track on feedback given by agents, script development staff, and artistic leadership.
