LogicMonitor doesn't require much administrative overhead.

VMware monitoring for VMs requires detailed monitoring on those machines to group them for alerting purposes making it harder to accomplish some tasks without the extra licenses.

Monitoring and alerting for our infrastructure and software.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overage metrics
Updated Meraki monitoring eats of a license per network, unlike old snmp which only took 1 for all

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Day to day issues, and solving problems before they become more critical. LogicMontior has become one of my favorite tools I use for my day to day operations, more so it has become a critical asses. I love that the LM team is constantly improving the platform and adding more features. You can tell they truly care about delivering a first class product.
One of the top 5 network monitoring tools on the market
What do you like best about the product?
I would say the best part of LogicMonitor is the ease of device configuration. The Auto Properties and Auto Discovery systems do 90% of the work for you as long as you have credentials configured appropriately. It takes a lot of the work off of the admin compared to some other tools out there that require more manual configuration
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if there was a more straight-forward way to set up device dependencies rather than using the mapping feature. For instance, based on device Groups
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of monitoring of our network and server infrastructure, giving us proactive alerting and notifications for issues in our environment
In-depth, precise monitoring!

What do you dislike about the product?
There us quite a step skill curve needed to use it.

We are looking at advanced Azure monitoring.
LogicMonitor has Logic in Everything
What do you like best about the product?
The distributed Monitoring system, Agent Less, Threshold system.
What do you dislike about the product?
SN integration, The dashboards can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bulk URL upload issue. I have been able to add many URLs within a short time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
LogicMonitor is one of the well-organised tool in the market and very easy to adapt to any industry. It has everything that you need for your company. We have been looking for more than 2 years tool like LM. This is the latest cloud-based monitoring tool that can monitor the cloud apps.
LogcMonitor is great for maturing start-up!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use when it comes to setting up and maintaining LogicMonitor. It's robust enough to handle whatever we throw at it, while being easy enough that a very small team can manage it on the back burner and not get slammed with false positives!
What do you dislike about the product?
New Alerts interface makes filtering a little hard, and it doesn't seem to have automated remediation as something that is easily visible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't have a good monitoring solution here before this, and previous places used more legacy software that required WAY more tuning. LM is easy to use, and pretty finely tuned out of the box.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Super easy to use, Great support team. Overall, a really wonderful product!
Very good monitoring platform
What do you like best about the product?
Automation, ease of use, and documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface of the android app still needs some honing I think.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitor multiple machines in different locations, by a small team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend to take the skilljar training.
Shows me what I need to know.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to navigate, can see in a glance whether my problem was fixed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't think of anything in particular at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whether it's an access point, a server, or a circuit the timely information LM gathers helps us react quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simplifies a lot of things and is easy to use.
Best in class SaaS based IT monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
The automation of simple tasks such as creating onboarding scripts to ensure devices being added are done in a standardized method. LM automatically detects what specifically needs to be monitored for each device. If you choose that its not necessary or monitoring needs to be adjusted, the UI is simple enough to tweak or turn off completely.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be challenging at times to navigate. There is a learning curve to the platform. I've had issues with the alerts page, trying to view alerts on a smaller screen such as a laptop can be challenging. The provided view has limitations to it. I believe this is being fixed in future releases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used a lot of different monitoring solutions in my past and have spent over a year working with Logic Monitor. I can confidently say that nothing matches the capability or feature set that Logic Monitor provides. The platform has capabilities of monitoring cloud portals, on-prem infrastructure, internal applications and web sites, etc. I've always ran in to issues with monitoring Linux based systems until we discovered LM. Now we are able to monitor Linux OS devices with ease.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend starting with LogicMonitor's SkillJar to go through the LogicMonitor training. This will help learn the user interface and become more familiarized with the platform and how it functions. Always look to automate as many of admin processes as possible. Create custom groups which will help detect if something was onboarded incorrectly or having issues that you my want to know about. Lastly the out of box dashboards and gauges are helpful, but don't hesitate to seek assistance from LM support to create custom dashboards.
Improving Ops Team processes out of the box with endless possibilities after impementation
What do you like best about the product?
Bulletproof monitoring when implemented properly. Always accurate and timely. Making changes to the out of the box settings is easy enough and can be rolled out how you like in terms of thresholds, alerts, and communications. Very broad native monitoring vendor support. Others can be implements without much fuss. Support is very helpful and prompt.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is somewhat difficult to work with to get what you need. Most scripting options requires learning Groovy(might be a pro for some). Web UI can sometimes require refreshing for changes to show up which can be annoying. Somewhat expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a managed services IT staff and use Logic Monitor to support our clients and our own infrastructure. We sell monitoring as a service and Logic Monitor serves a critical role in that service. It helps us monitor everything from Network infrastructure to Windows/Linux Servers to Cloud Resources like AWS and Azure.
