I prefer Katalon for several reasons:

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Katalon Platform is its all-in-one ecosystem that simplifies test automation across Web, API, Mobile, and Desktop in a single environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited debugging flexibility compared to traditional IDEs like IntelliJ or Eclipse — especially when dealing with complex Groovy scripting or third-party libraries. Also, while the object repository is helpful, it can get cluttered quickly, and managing large numbers of test objects sometimes feels less intuitive.

What do you like best about the product?
Katalon’s use of Custom Keywords, Object Repositories, and Data-Driven Testing simplifies maintenance and allows for highly reusable test components.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you scale up with lots of test cases, test suites, and large object repositories, the IDE can get slow or laggy, especially on lower-end machines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem Solved: Writing automation scripts from scratch takes time and skills in coding frameworks.
Benefit: With its low-code UI, record & playback, and object spy, even manual testers or new QA engineers can quickly build automated test cases.
This has helped reduce testing cycles and increased coverage — especially for repetitive regression tests.

One Tool, Zero Hassle – Start Automating Instantly
What do you like best about the product?
Katalon is an all-in-one platform that eliminates the need for users to search for platform-specific automation solutions (Web, API, Desktop, Mobile). It's also quite easy to link up multiple platforms' test steps when needed, like fetching data from an API and verifying it with UI data, then switching to a desktop app or vice versa on the same flow. It is a ready-to-use automation solution that cuts out the need for a hectic framework and dependency setup process. Simply create a project and start automating your test cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Parallel execution is not permitted for test cases under a single test suite, even though Katalon employs frameworks like JUnit and TestNG, which readily provide parallel execution of tests regardless of any category, tags, or suite. This extends the duration of execution while executing the Test Suite Collection.
Although TestOps' centralized reporting is fairly good, users cannot view real-time reports for completed test cases and must wait for the entire execution to finish before viewing the report. Furthermore, users are unable to determine which test cases are running in the instance, what has been completed, and what is still to start from the session log for an execution of a Test Suite Collection.

Katalon significantly cuts down the time required on creating TestObjects with the Record and Play feature.
Easy integration of TestOps with remote machines and the cloud for test execution.
Centralized reporting on TestOps eliminates the need for sharing physical report files, which can now be done just with a link.

Self healing is good feature in it.. sometimes Self healing is not working properly with captcha or Re-captcha.

Performance Issues – Katalon Studio can be resource-intensive, leading to slow performance, especially with large test suites.
Also Limited Flexibility Compared to Open-Source Tools – While it provides a codeless option, customization and complex scripting can sometimes be more restrictive than Selenium or Appium.

Visual & AI-based Testing, Validating UI changes visually is difficult with traditional automation tools, Katalon provides visual testing features and integrates with AI-powered testing tools to detect visual regressions automatically.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to understand as compared to the other automation platforms out there. Has a wide array of options to choose from in terms to automation operations. Hardly had to look out for help guides in order to walk through my certification program. Was really a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I can point out. Had a great experience overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me automate with just the UI and no-code approach, Katalon would be my go to tool going forward as a preferred choice.
I recommend Katalon to run automation testing. Because it is very easy to understand for beginners.

some of browser unable to execute due katalon not show modal pop up. difficult to spy using mobile browser for difficult testcase.

What do you like best about the product?
The environment itself. Katalon Platform is supported by a cloud environment, AI, and an easy-to-use user experience. So the QA team could easily implement automation system for their pipeline to guard the quality of the products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems katalon should be separate the license: e.g. for API testing, for Mobile, etc.

Regression testing is sooooo effortful, so katalon could help with seamlessly!
