A good git analytics tool

  • November 21, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have used their git analytics dashboards and are very happy with it. They seem to have all the important metrics like cycle time, commit size and volume, code churn code review load etc..
What do you dislike about the product?
Azure DevOps boards support is not complete and some some metrics show N/A for them

UPDATE: Issues around Azure DevOps boards are now resolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use thier git analytics dashboard. It is a very good experience.

Fully featured analytics for Dev teams

  • October 15, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having visibility into who’s getting blocked in their PRs is crucial for us. This combined with productivity metrics like code churn gave us the insights that we never knew we needed. Combined with Project metrics around planning accuracy helped us plan better and saw a big dip in spill over tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
They cover the most used tools, but Azure DevOps boards are still WIP.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Planning accuracy improved. As a result, can see a huge dip in spillover tasks.

Easy to use but requires more flexibility to filter data.

  • October 04, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and configure. The interface is very friendly, and the four key metrics is an industry-standard. It was never that easy to get metrics from GitHub to understand hoe our productivity can be improved.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things missing:
* There is not much flexibility to see DORA metrics. I can only see them for the repository, but not for a specific team. This seems to be very good when we work with microservices where each team "owns" one or more specific services, but when we work with monoliths or monorepos it gets hard. Modular monoliths have been increasing in popularity, but we can't have metrics by teams using this approach.
* It lacks some stuff like ignoring weekends on dev cycle time, understanding that a PR is opened as a draft, and other things like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of measuring productivity. Usually we need to gather data from Github and JIRA (or whatever other tools teams use) and consolidate them. With Hatica this is much easier now.

Opens up a world for Engg Performance Visibility at one place with the right integrations

  • August 28, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Central place to hold all the information. Ability to aggregate across multiple dimensions and slices
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires some integration efforts to figure out team-compositions. Dashboard pages sometimes are slow when lots of information is crunched
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single source of tracking how the engineering org is performing & maintaining consistency or not. Bubble up trends that need to be addressed

Data-driven Sprint Retros and project wise metrics help us plan better and faster

  • August 26, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We wanted a solution that would show statistics on our projects and how we performed sprint over sprint. This was a simple easy to understand dashboard from Hatica called project overview dashboard and we started seeing where we fell short in project planning and accuracy.

We also took a big liking to the sprint retro dashboard which our managers use extensively to do retros backed up by actual work activity data and this helped us plan better for the next sprint.

Insights from these two dashboards helped us get better every sprint over the past 8+ sprints.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI improvements need to be made because the project overview dashboard is only functional, not presentable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and Sprint Planning was inefficient before, and they've gotten better.
Sprint Retros are now data-driven and we know what didn't work.

Accessible value stream analytics and DORA metrics we've been waiting for

  • July 15, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We've been looking for tools that could provide us with similar levels of analytics for Github as we had in Gitlab. Thanks to the Hatica app we've been able to get even better value stream analytics and DORA metrics to gauge our engineering performance and productivity. The options to slice and dice metrics are helpful in particular.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Updating filters every time I launch (add an option to save filters)
- Took over a week to hear back on the initial invite request
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hatica gets us better visibility into our engineering ops. It has helped us better plan and optimise our engineering efforts.

What do you like best about the product?
So far having a great experience with Hatica. Really liking the DORA metrics and the maker time dashboard which are useful to measure my team’s meeting load and also identify whether they have enough time to concentrate on serious projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Platform doesn't support to customise dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Giving enough concentration to projects by keeping focus time for serious tasks
Better delivery and better useful meetings

In line with the SPACE framewok

  • April 05, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really believe in the engineering management approach of the SPACE framework. I couldn’t find a tool that put the framework in practice, especially combining developers’ digital well-being and experience and productivity metrics. But I discovered Hatica and after using the platform and speaking with the founders about their approach to dev management, I am convinced that Hatica is the best tool to manage engineering productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many metrics that you’re able to measure that it can get overwhelming at first.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Engineering team productivity has improved and our team is paying more attention to things like developers happiness and rest and work life balance
