  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, it uses a strong encryption so is safe, you can store multiple passwords, it works in multiple devices and you can have periodic backups.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far, it works well and you can contact support any time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple personal password management, i use to keep many passwords from many services secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should do backups from your passwords when you use it.

I can no longer function without 1Password

  • February 14, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Using 1Password has allowed me to use crazy-secure passwords on all of the sites and apps I use without having to worry about remembering them. I also like being able to use it to store banking numbers, sensitive data in secure notes, and software licenses. It is an absolute must-have in my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the 1Password extension for Chrome on my Mac doesn't detect the form on the page I'm browsing or doesn't record all of the data from a "new user" form (where it captures the password but not the username, for example). I would say 99% of the time it works flawlessly, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a web developer, so store a LOT of data on behalf of my clients in terms of website and app credentials. I might have 20 different clients who each have unique logins for a web host like WP Engine. 1Password makes it super easy to browse and pick the exact client credentials I need each time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just go for it. The desktop paired with the mobile app are everything you'll need.

Excellent tool for sharing passwords with coworkers

  • November 09, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1Password is very easy to use. We use it in my organization to share project-related passwords. It is very simple to create an entry. I also like the way I can store my personal passwords there.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the tagging of passwords in order to categorize them as somewhat tedious, but perhaps that's just my personal preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my organization this tool is incredibly helpful. We are storing passwords in a secure place and only sharing them with those who need access to the credentials. No more copying and pasting sensitive information into chats, emails, etc!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a centralized place to store your personal passwords as well as an easy tool for your organization to share passwords, 1Password is definitely for you. You can even store information such as logins, credit cards, notes, and documents.

Simple and reliable application to safely store all of my passwords and information

  • October 27, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All of my passwords are consolidated within a single app, which is convenient when you have multiple sites that require a login.
What do you dislike about the product?
The app isn't the most intuitive with keeping your sites and passwords updated. Most of the time you'll need to update information on your own, manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Login passwords for websites are often hard to manage, especially when each website has different password requirements. By using 1Password, you can have all your information saved in one space, which makes life easier and more convenient.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Cloud backup would be helpful, as currently all password information is merely saved to my hard drive.

Must-have password manager

  • July 28, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Makes managing passwords simple. If you have a lot of online accounts you should be using different passwords, and I wouldn't be able to remember all of them. 1Password manages all my passwords for websites (and other logins), and lets me sync them to my mobile devices and other desktops regardless of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their Windows desktop version is a bit outdated, although they have a new app that's available on the Windows Store.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online security is very important. Having unique and individual passwords is a must, and having a good password manager is a key part of keeping your accounts secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One of the best features of 1Password is it's available on nearly all platforms, whether its a Windows PC, Mac, iOS, etc. I recommend this for anyone who needs to manage their password.

Fantastic

  • May 13, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use coupled with the security level of passwords for both home and office use. I have several accounts that I need my employees to have access to and can share it through 1Password easily while also storing my private information in one app.
What do you dislike about the product?
i needed to first download Dropbox to have access to it from anywhere successfully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Too many logins; high security passwords needed; sharing them with my team successfully and privately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There really aren't any downsides to using it. None that I've found, at least. You only need to remember one password to access ALL your passwords. Personal, business or otherwise. No more guessing and getting locked out. It's great.

1password for everyone

  • April 30, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
With 1password you can share the passwords with family members and friends.
1password is $50.00 and can be used across 6 computers. Ideal for family in such situations.
Parents can lock the password from their children editing the password or accidentally deleting the passwords.
Its not just passwords, you can save financial documents or even credit card info as its very secure yet user friendly application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not free unlike other applications and has a cost associated to it.
It has single point of failure. if your master password is lost, you might pretty much lose everything. However that the case for every application. It would be if it has 2 factor authentication which sends a text message to mobile or to an email.
I noticed issues with password sync across devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since my family is macintosh or apple friendly, this application plays an important role.
We can share it with the kids and still not let them speak out passwords.
Can have software against multiple devices such as ipad, iphone, laptops and much more.
I can even save a 20 character long password and still dont have to worry about losing the password.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I wish the application has multi-factor authentication which can ideally remove single point of failure.
As 1password focuses not just on passwords but also gives the flexibility of saving credit card info or and financial documents the above scenario of having two factor authentication plays a vital role.

Great password management with 1 drawback

  • April 18, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the integration on Mac OSX and how easy it is to use the keyboard shortcut to enter credentials into any website. I also like how it will generate a random character length password and save it for login info.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish 1password better set up to use a external key for authentication. ( I bought one off of Amazon but was unable to use it in combination with 1password).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to keep teams synced on passwords as well as managing a plethora of logins is annoying as hell. This helps .
Recommendations to others considering the product:
1Password works on every platform (iOS, Android, Mac, Window) as well as many browsers. It's definitely worth a try if you struggle to keep track of all your passwords.
