Scytale Turned ISO & SOC Compliance from a necessary evil to a smooth Confidence-Building process
What do you like best about the product?
Scytale has completely changed the game for us. Thanks to their expert guidance, streamlined processes, and standardised control libraries, they’ve transformed ISO and SOC compliance from a punishingly slow, necessary evil into a highly efficient workflow. Even with a small startup team and limited time, Scytale made it possible for us to confidently achieve certification without derailing our core business objectives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing that I lest like was one of the characteristics of Scytale that got us over the line. Their unrelenting support to achieve the outcome we agreed with them at the start - always with a smile and wise words
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a startup, we lack the massive headcount usually required for compliance. Scytale made it so that our small team with limited time could confidently achieve certification without taking our focus away from our core business objectives.
Quick, Easy SOC 2 Compliance Review Experience
What do you like best about the product?
The SOC2 compliance review was quick and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I saw during the SOC2 review was that the links to the videos were incorrect the first time they were sent. This was resolved quickly.

Our consultant Ashna Jeeva was a star! And the platform always made it clear what we needed to do.

Some of the AI generated remedies didn't make much sense.

ISO is very complex, so Scytale made the process easier.
Simplifies SOC Compliance with Ease
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Scytale is very easy to use, making it an accessible online platform. It's great that all the information is readily available in one place, which makes SOC compliance much easier and saves a lot of time and effort. I also find it valuable that it helps solve uploading evidence issues effortlessly online.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the integrations could be made a little bit simpler. And in some cases, jumping between screens, you've got to go through a number of steps to get back to data that you were accessing in a previous screen. One other thing I would like to get changed is the ability to bulk update data, either a deletion or bulk update of one of the fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Scytale makes SOC compliance easier and cuts down time by keeping everything in one place. It solves uploading evidence issues online efficiently.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the web feature's functionality misbehaved. i.e. Risk residual ratings reverted after updating, training tracker updates, some vendor sync. All resolved with help of client rep.

Automated Governance Made Easy—Outstanding Consultant Support from Ashna Jeeva
What do you like best about the product?
There are similar competitive systems on the market. The automated evidence gathering, policy templates and intuitive UI radically reduces the effort involved to setup and maintain an effective governance process. What truly differentiates Scytale from their competitors are their consultants who help guide you through the process. Our consultant Ashna Jeeva went over and beyond the call of duty to help us define a governance framework that suitable for our business operations, and then help guide us through the process of enforcing the controls and gathering evidence. Without Ashna's steer the whole process would have been orders of magnitude more time consuming and unlikely to result in the same quality governance framework that Ashna helped us deliver.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few buggy aspects with some of the automated evidence tools, but the support team were very proactive at addressing any issues we logged with them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT Governance is absolutely critical for even small companies, yet it is commonly neglected as few have the in house expertise or time to dedicate to governance while trying to run a business. Scytale provides a complete package to addressing your governance requirements, whether a small company or a large enterprise.
Effortless SOC 2 Compliance with Scytale
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use of Scytale, having the platform and everything in one place just makes things so seamless. The auto evidence collection feature is really helpful as it directly pulls information from our AWS account, saving us the hassle of manually tracking spreadsheets or compliance items. Nicole, our consultant, was amazing; she made the process so easy and we're incredibly grateful for her help. The setup was very easy too, with scheduled meetings to get us started and continuous support from Nicole. Scytale worked really well with AWS, and it got us ready really fast without any worry.

Can't think of anything.

Scytale made SOC 2 readiness easy with a platform and great consultants. We didn’t worry about compliance, thanks to auto evidence collection from AWS. Everything's in one place—no spreadsheets to track.
Supportive, Professional ISO Guidance—Oliver Made It Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Supportive, communicative and nothing was ever too hard. Oliver was such an easy, professional and patient person to guide us through ISO.
What do you dislike about the product?
Time zones were occasionally a challenge but luckily Oliver was very accommodating and sometimes this just can't be avoided!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Supporting us through a very complicated and thorough ISO process. Not sure we could've done it without Oliver's help.
Streamlines Compliance, Stellar Support
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Scytale is easy to use, which makes managing compliance and certification processes more straightforward. I also appreciate that the support is great, providing help when needed. Additionally, the checklists are well done, which is valuable in navigating the complex certification processes. The initial setup was fairly straightforward, thanks to the onboarding, which helped get everything up and running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The relationship with the auditor, communication can be slow. In our recent ISO 27001, we had a lot of trouble getting responses from the auditor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Scytale for compliance and certification. It helps with the complexity and obscurity of certification processes.
