Powerful Tool - Learning the Ropes

  • February 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I ended up downgrading to the free version of the product. What I miss most is the amount of templates you can use, but there are templates features built into Google Workspace, so it isn't that much of an adjustment. I am discovering that for a small business it may not be as necessary of a tool as they are pitching it to be - mainly because it is soooo over complicated in my opinion.
What do you dislike about the product?
It feels like I am sifting through an entire collection of encyclopedias (from A-Z) just to pull a few things out from each volume. I feel like there should be a feature or better training on how to make it easier to make it work for each individual. I feel like I have to learn an entire new software platform just to send an email - it seems overkill for what it is supposed to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
tracking client engagement and helping to find holes in my cold reach out marketing strategy.

But like I said they have a lot resources and help is just a click away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email Marketing is wonderful, especially whenever you learn how to flow from task to the other

What do you like best about the product?
I have the pleasure of working with a few clients who use the HubSpot Marketing Hub. I love that it is data-driven and tracks every interaction. It's also very easy to intergrate with other platforms (i.e. WordPress, Google Domain Email, Calendly, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
HubSpot is a bit pricey. It's a great all in one solution but to get all the perks it's a costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We love the CRM/Sales tracking it has been a gamechanger. We can track each interaction and use that data to create solutions that help us close leads.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is super easy to use, and the built-in AI features have helped streamline our work significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recent pay-per-seat change has created some issues for our team. Not being notified of the change in advance was unexpected and disappointing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One stop shop. Prior to Hubspot we were managing multiple platforms for our various marketing needs - email, social, landing pages, etc. Now it's conveniently all accessible through Hubspot.

Takes time to fully customize, but worth it in the end.

What do you like best about the product?
I tried the free version of Hubspot three times before committing. Initially, the software seemed to be more than I needed, so I would try a different CRM. Eventually, I discovered the other CRMs didn't offer enough, and I came back to Hubspot. The software is now my go-to platform at the start of every workday. I am a business/media coach. I use it to log emails, calls, and coaching sessions with each client. I also now use Hubspot Forms on my website to build my email list and automatically send newsletters to potential clients using the Hubspot Email option and workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI/Copilot features aren't as robust as advertised. Also, Hubspot needs another pricing option between the Starter and Professional tiers. There's a huge pricing jump between the two. I'd be glad to pay for more features...but not $800/month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating and distributing newsletters and monitoring activity/engagment of potential clients.

What do you like best about the product?
It centralizes marketing efforts — email, landing pages, forms, automation, social media, SEO, ads, and reporting — all in one place. This makes it easier to manage campaigns and data without juggling multiple tools. The customer support is also super hands-on and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the basics are user-friendly, mastering more complex tools like custom reporting or workflows can take time and training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to schedule out social media campaigns and monitor and compare performance.

I highly recommend HubSpot

  • February 18, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
I have over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing and distribution business software industry, and I can confidently say that HubSpot stands out for its exceptional balance between ease of use and cost-effectiveness. What truly sets HubSpot apart is its commitment to continuous improvement, introducing meaningful updates that directly enhance the end-user experience. Additionally, the opportunity to access HubSpot interns adds even more value to their offering. With all these advantages combined, why would you choose anything else?
What do you dislike about the product?
While HubSpot offers impressive ease of use and solid value for its cost, there are some areas where it falls short for me. Despite their constant updates, some changes feel more like cosmetic upgrades rather than solving real workflow issues. Additionally, certain advanced features are locked behind higher pricing tiers, which can quickly drive up costs. Their reporting capabilities, while decent, often lack the depth and customization I need for complex business insights. Plus, the learning curve for fully utilizing all of HubSpot's tools can be steeper than expected. Overall, while HubSpot has its strengths, these drawbacks leave me wishing for a more polished and cost-efficient experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot Marketing Hub helps me streamline my campaigns by bringing everything—email, social, ads, and CRM—into one easy-to-use platform. The automated workflows save time by nurturing leads without manual effort, while the built-in SEO and content tools drive more organic traffic. Plus, the reporting dashboards give me clear insights to track performance and make smarter decisions. With sales and marketing fully aligned, we’re converting leads faster and more efficiently.
