Everything's an Upcharge

  • March 04, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The Hubspot platform has quite a few functions that are easy to use and seamless work solely within the Hubspot platform.
Sometimes if you're lucky you'll get good customer service.
What do you dislike about the product?
The APIs don't function as promised. For example, their Microsoft Dynamics API doesn't work rendering the system useless without a bunch of workarounds or paying $10K to a HubSpot partner.
They have changed into a monetization platform where you're encouraged to use a Hubspot-certified partner for any challenge.
Onboarding is an upcharge - used to be included now there is do-it-yourself, two-tier, or even three-tier pricing.
Template customization - used to be easy to code - now a needless complex to attempt to upcharge you to the "we suggest" you use a HubSpot partner.
Landing pages - most implement Unbounce to sync into the Hubspot system due to the lack of HubSpot's inflexible coding
Knowledge Base - instructions are usually incomplete, confusing, or contradictory and usually end up with the "we suggest" you use a HubSpot partner.
Reports - needlessly complex to set up and of course end up with "we suggest" you use a HubSpot partner.
Support - hit or miss. They now take days or weeks to respond where it used to be the same day or maybe two days for something super complex.

Overall the platform is no longer special nor any different than Marketo, Pardot, Monday, Active Campaign, Customer.io, or Userflex. In fact, Marketo IMO is superior for the price point.

I used to recommend HubSpot but after implementing them in the past three years for two different organizations and experiencing a less than stellar customer experience and transparency in their platform's functionality, I could not recommend them any longer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to improve our outbound marketing and lead generation. We have not benefited from purchasing this product. We're three months in, and due to its lack of functionality with our CRM system has rendered Hubspot virtually useless.

I didn't dislike anything as well, most of the clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

HubSpot Marketing Hub - far beyond expectations

  • March 02, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot has designed the most comprehensive, powerful and intuitive solution focused on making a big impact across all major digital marketing strategies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a few years of experience in other solutions such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, among others, and since I started using HubSpot, there is nothing that I disliked so far. Every day, I can more quickly materialize my strategies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing Hub has a wide range of features like CMS, Social, Social Ads, and more. Perfect for capturing all types of insights from different channels, with powerful analytical tools. The big advantage is the ease with which we can automate everything.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I strongly recommend everyone to consider the HubSpot Marketing Hub, mainly as a MAS (marketing automation system) solution, despite it also having an excellent CRM (Free), perfectly designed to warm up customer relationships and scale results.

What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot Marketing is exactly as the name implies; a centralized place from where I can distribute content to multiple platforms. It's very helpful in helping to manage multiple social accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like not being able to see a full preview of my postings to twitter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to manage multiple accounts, and schedule multiple posts ahead of time from one place.

Hubspot WAS Good

  • February 28, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Hubspot CRM is easy to use, configure and customize. It has A-Z the things you would need and allows you the flexibility you want. Some of it's integrations with things like Outlook and Linkedin are good, but those CAN come with a hefty pricetag.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the reasons we bought hubspot was for its integration with mailchimp, using a 3rd party product called PieSync which Hubspot bought. At the time they said it was going to just be a rebrand. But, instead, hubspot sunset Piesync and didn't contact any of the customers using it to help replace it with their new product. Instead we found out once our data was out of sync and we were trying to do something like email all our customers about important information, only to find out that that wasn't working. They replaced it with a crappy mailchimp integration with almost zero customization or flexibility, (YOU CAN'T EVEN SYNC YOUR TAGS [the main segmentation field]) . On top of that, you can't get a hold of ANYONE on their "customer success team", to fix things, and you can't get back into piesync to even see what your old settings were. It's a HUGE bungle-job of what should have been a customer opportunity. We are exceedingly upset with not only the product, but also the entire approach that Hubspot took to this. Before this, we were very happy customers. But this is blatent disregard to customers. What's more, their technical team said there's tons of customers reporting this, and the company has done nothing about it at a corporate level. Terrible management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to automate our email integrations with our CRM. So far it hasn't been what we are hoping for. We hope that Hubspot can do more in terms of customer support and dealing with their integration problems.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy-to-use interface as well as easy to train features makes this tool a hit with our team members. The UX is well thought out. Our team uses this tool for user acquisition as well as engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of email design templates: there is very less ready to use email templates. But the template designer gets the job done for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using HubSpot for engagement as well as acquisition purposes. HubSpot is our sole tool for email communication as of now
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to get started without investing a huge amount of money, please go ahead.

Great platform; needs a little design help

  • February 25, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the blog platform was built with simplicity and SEO in mind. It's easy to make sure your blog will perform well, and that you have all the necessary components.
What do you dislike about the product?
In today's world, it's unacceptable that photo editing is not built into the blog interface. You can't even crop a photo. There should be a built-in photo editor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're creating interest in the brand from new audiences by writing about a variety of topics that would interest them. We're able to track and measure people who engaged with the blog and then went on to be customers.
