Best platform for social marketing

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is simple and quick to manage all your social tasks. From scheduling to responding, to connecting all your platforms, to monitoring paid social, it has it all. The best part is that you can sync your social activity to all your marketing activities to get a cohesive picture of your marketing efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there was the option to add "channels" similar to what Hootsuite offers. I would also say it would be great to see the paid social up on the calendar (launch and end dates for example). Furthermore, granular reporting would be nice as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring, setting up and planning social is quicker than ever. I get more time back in my day.

Great for Social Media Scheduling and Contact Management!

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The social media scheduling is fantastic and is easy to use and understand. The contact flow and being able to see all the contact information and following their tracks on the site is valuable information. The Hubspot support team has been very responsive in helping us get set up and answering any other questions that have come up during the process. The Landing Pages we have built have been an awesome tool for gathering intel on our current and potential clients and have are now an essential tool in our marketing arsenal.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some bugs that could be worked out, the Design Tools are a bit confusing and it's difficult to edit Blog pages and templates. The landing page builder could be improved, there are some quirks that limit ease of use, but there are workarounds to figure out how to make things work. I wish there were options to schedule Facebook and Instagram stories, as well as multiple photos on Instagram posts but through the Hubspot community, we have been able to submit feature requests for the Hubspot team to review.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's been nice to have everything in one place. We have contacts imported from Salesforce to Hubspot continuously so we are able to send marketing to our leads and provide them with valuable information. It's been great to be able to schedule social media in advance and see the analytics that goes along with each post. We're able to use Social Media to send leads to the website we have built with Hubspot and are able to track the analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hubspot has been an awesome addition to our marketing team! Overall, we're very pleased with the results we have achieved so far. I definitely recommend working with their customer service team to get set up and whenever questions arise. The Hubspot community has been a valuable tool to answer basic questions and submit feedback regarding the product as well as feature requests.

Great platform, with limitations but incredible customer support

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Customer support. Being able to chat with support instantly is great, and they are very knowledgeable about the issues I bring up, being able to resolve them mostly during the chat timeframe itself. One issue was much bigger and required days to get help, but they fixed the problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Simple or "obvious" thinks seem to be still missing from the platform in certain areas. I wish reports were more robust (we can't create some reports we need/want to create). Also, there are limitations in sequences and workflows, and unfortunately one of those does what we need the other to do, and vice versa. Really limits our use of automation. Landing page builder is really annoying to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping much better track of our leads and being able to sort them into buckets for targeted outreach.

I love how hubspot is a one stop shop for marketers to be able have easy access to tools that make our job easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the email marketing tools inability to click and drag elements and delete to re arrange. I also dislike the log in requirements for social profiles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media posting on many platforms and profiles

Flexible platform for developers, excellent for customised lead generation

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flexible dev environment using HubL markup language, deep reporting structure, and a powerful API make Hubspot perfect for our highly customized approach to lead gen. I can't think of another tool that would be as amenable to our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside we've run into in the last five years is the cloud-based infrastructure going down. Even an outage of one hour has a detrimental affect on our business, and HubSpot has had a couple outages lasting 8+ hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a design team, HubSpot has been a great way to design & build content management features that can be easily used by non-technical users. Everyone is able to create unique landing pages without leaning on the tech team. Using the API we are able to create advanced forms for our landing pages that meet our specific requirements and integrate reports with Google Sheets to be shared with non-HubSpot users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hubspot's HubL markup language is a great platform for design & development of custom templates. Your dev team will find working with the API a rewarding experience for customization.

User friendly, easy to execute on the vision

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The workflows have allowed us to find ways to make sure our customers are really engaged with our sales team. Also, the feature has allowed the marketing team to work in conjunction with the sales team's communications instead of on top of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
In building our workflows we ran into a few situations where the functionalities were not available. I am sure as time goes on they will add more, but at the moment we either had to find workarounds or adjust our strategy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication complications are what we are using Hubspot to solve. We are able to use it to integrate all of our communication channels into one clean process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In my experience working with Hubspot, when in doubt ask. The experts are very helpful and if the function is not available they have been great at helping me find workarounds.

Can we do...?

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We work with many partners, and those partnerships intersect at the landing page. The ease of creating new landing pages for campaigns from clones cuts down on the time it takes to onboard a new partner considerably. The ability to manage so many different partners and so many different conversations from so many different places is very useful for us. We find the integrations with different apps to be very useful. It's awesome to have such a seamless flow of information going between a user and our calendars. It's also very cool to be able to call from a browser and have the call recorded without having to use any additional recording software.

The "queue" feature on tasks is also incredibly useful. It really does a fantastic job of lining up what needs to be done, all the way down to opening up an email field, ready to type and send when the task calls for an email.

There's something very wonderful about being able to have a whole team work together and move things forward and have the tasks flow through a customized process.

The hubspot team has been very useful for our operations person when we have needed guidance on how to implement a new feature or integrate a new app or service.

What else is there to say? Some people seem to love Zoho, and Salesforce is obviously the best even though it has the dumbest name and had led us into an age of endless spam, but if you're really trying to reach people, hubspot is a solid and somewhat affordable way to do it.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I clone a campaign and start to rename the landing pages and calls to action to align with the name of the new partner, I don't like having to refresh the page to see that the names have indeed been updated. This makes it more difficult to know for sure which updates have been made. I also sometimes notice CTA's I've edited that aren't automatically updated. I also very much dislike the app--it's almost not worth downloading, and I go through my phone's browser instead of the app when I'm away from the computer.

The calendar function leaves a little to be desired because we have to go into our google calendar and block out all of the times we "aren't available" which leaves large spots on our calendar with essentially ghost tasks which serve no purpose other than to make hubspot be able to book us at the right times. Instead of having a by-user availability function.

The round-robin scheduling doesn't seem to be very round-robin like. There are two of us on the round robin schedule currently, and my partner has received twice as many bookings compared to me despite having the same schedule. This is more likely due to me than due to him.

There is also a thing when someone mentions you in note and tags you that makes it impossible to find on the app when you get the notification on your phone. Again, this is more an indictment of the app's being horrible than any actual feature within hubspot.

We use slack for intrateam communication more than anything else.

I'm writing this after writing the words at the end of the assessment below. The thing I dislike most about hubspot right now is that I wasted thirty minutes of my life giving valuable feedback on G2 with the promise I'd be rewarded to be unable to access the promised reward. I don't know if this is hubspot's problem or G2's but I know for sure I will never fill out another G2 survey, and if there were any possible way I could encourage others to avoid this b.s., I would. Not cool at all. Not cool.

It's like inviting someone to your home for dinner, letting them know beforehand you could use a hand with a little yardwork before the meal, you agreeing to that, and then the next thing you know you're digging a new pond in the back yard by hand with a spoon, which is what you've been asked to do, and getting no closer to the meal at all, even though the number of spoons of dirt you've dug out is being clearly counted as if that has something to do with what you can do to eventually get to the meal.

I would have been happy to provide feedback for free. It would have been as complete as this feedback is because I enjoy helping products I use improve. But at this moment, I'm questioning the integrity of the hubspot and G2 teams and wondering what kind of idiot thought this was a good way to receive feedback. Stop offering the reward for filling out information if the expectations aren't clear.

I'm at over 1300 words now because of this message: Improve your grade: "tell us more about your likes, dislikes, and recommendations" on the right.

This has become one of the worst experiences I've ever had in terms in terms of giving feedback to an organization. I hope that hubspot will immediately discontinue using g2 to collect feedback from users.

I'm going to go ahead and submit it and then do the best I can to delete my G2 account. Hubspot, please never send me a G2 request form again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using hubspot to create a seamless user journey for our service. We connect with supporters of organizations using a custom landing page the organizations use to invite folks to support them by exploring the benefits of solar energy. They can see customized invitation information (like the logo of the organization and the pictures) and then use the hubspot calendar function to book a time on our calendar. We then can easily record outcomes and automate and share follow-up information based on easily customizable fields.

The biggest problem we solve with hubspot is creating a way for organizations who wish to engage their supporters and invite them to use our service an easy way to do that which is simple, automated and transparent.

At this point I'm only typing things because I came here to receive a ten dollar gift card. I have literallly typed everything I know how to type; I've filled out every single field as accurately as possible, and I'm starting to feel like G2 is a gimmicky, crappy way to leave feedback because there is an unclear expectation of what must occur in order to unlock this gift card.

I really don't have much else to say about hubspot other than it's great, but I'm going to use the rest of this space until I reach a thousand words talking about how much I disdain services that hook you in with a promise for a reward and then have you fill out everything, and create some arbitrarily stupid rule you're not aware of that has you doing monkey tasks in order to jump some imaginary bar. I feel it's quite likely that I may reach a thousand words, which is longer than most term papers people write, and still not receive the reward I was led to believe I'd receive by honestly and accurately sharing my experience. We'll see what happens when I cross that mark. If the reward isn't triggered, I'm just going to send this in as-is.

The problem we are solving with hubspot is creating a service with integrity and no stupid loopholes or catches required to receive what is promised. And through touching hearts and opening minds by doing that, we will be able to lead by example, create a world powered by abundant, renewable energy and help humanity get over the idea that it's okay to lie, even if it's the lie of omission, in order to get people to do what you want them to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a CRM that can do all the things you want a CRM to do and you have some folks who can read instructions well, you can probably do it on hubspot. If you have a ton of money, you're probably better off with salesforce bc of the wild number of bells and whistles, but now that there are tools like zapier to tie everything together so well and inexpensively, there isn't a large number of things you can do with salesforce you can't create a workaround for using hubspot.

Easy Segmentation and Workflows for Email Marketing

  • February 20, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I typically use HubSpot for email marketing. It's so easy for me to create extremely targeted lists using their filters and list options. I can also import entire lists which is helpful. Then, I can use workflows to create triggers for me email campaigns based on user actions. This automation saves me time and energy, allowing me to get more done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the email templates that are available are tricky to work with to get formatting and padding just right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot is a great tool to help with inbound marketing and creating more leads and revenue for my organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It can be super helpful for marketing automation
