The best tool for new employees
What do you like best about the product?
Gong works for me on my time. I can go back and watch what I want when I need to. The recorder is there whenever I need it to be. Since coming on at the company, I have been able to learn quite a bit about how to conduct my calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like Gong to play nice with my calendar app so it can automatically be added to the meetings set up by my clients. (This could definitely be on my calendar companies side).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New employees don't have a script and are looking to see how to navigate the sales call. I can go watch other people that have been in my position and see where they struggled and improved, all the way up to my supervisor absolutely rocking a call. Both have great takeaways.
Gong Helps Us Grow
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to go back and listen to missed questions, (the question tool helps immensely). Love the next speaker feature and the ability to speed up or slow down a speaker.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not sure I have run into a "downside" to Gong yet. I have used it over the last 4 years for training, coaching and teaching others. The tool works great, has great features and gets the job done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Right now, I am using Gong as a training tool. I am benefiting financially in that I have been able to learn the product so much quicker by listening to others sell it.

Easy to navigate, intuitive automation.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to find my own calls or colleague's calls in Gong. I can also search by customer name or business name. Gong also automatically labels things such as pricing topics, questions, and splits the talk time between the client and the rep. This makes it super easy to scrub calls and make sure that I'm paying attention to the parts that are important to me at the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have any dislikes except that calls have to be a certain length before gong starts recording, but I think that may be an administrator setting and not a downfall of Gong itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am realizing that I spend too much time on the little things in my calls and not being efficient with my time on the line with clients. Gong helped me realize that by the automatic labeling of certain topics and talk time splits.
Great interface, intuitive platform, really useful
What do you like best about the product?
I like the intuitive usability of Gong; I didn't need to spend a long time figuring out how to use it. I appreciate the service it provides as it significantly adds value even at my non-sales role at my company
What do you dislike about the product?
While the transcript feature is valuable for quickly reading what was said in videos, it is not that accurate so it can be confusing and should not be taken as what was actually said - you need to listen and read and contextualize it all together. Hope Gong improves this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a non-sales role at my company but I interact with the sales team. I use Gong to fill in the gaps in communication/memory between our departments so that I can understand 100% what was discussed and what points in the meeting need to be focused on more from my perspective. Great tool for this as I can view a meeting (the facts) from a different vantage point than a salesman and contextualize it in a way that adds value to me.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong has been such a huge pillar in my career so far as a BDR. I depend on Gong so much to help me grow in my talking tracks. I love the fact that the calls are easy to review by splitting up who is talking into its on track and easily trackable on the transcripts. You can filter calls by competitor mentions and receive feedback automatically and from your managers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. I haven't been able to figure out if anything is missing but I will be sure to keep a lookout for any features I believe should be added. However, overall I love it!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have more confidence and I can easily make a call script by copying and pasting from good talk tracks. I have been able to go in with more confidence when I call into businesses that use competitors.
New? You'll wish you had Gong
What do you like best about the product?
Since I am new to my role, I have entered into conversations that have already started. Gong allows me to go to the beginning of the conversation (sometimes many months ago) and learn why we are having a conversation in the first place. There is no way I'd be able to ask my peers about every single detail about every deal. Being able to look at the emails and calls has allowed me to feel in the know about the situation before going into the next conversation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I was able to tell Gong what type of call it was: discovery, demonstration, next steps, pricing review, etc. That would help in providing tailored analytics depending on the pretext of the call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to enter a conversation with knowing everything there is to know about the deal is crucial! Otherwise, the meeting that was scheduled to help move the deal forward is spent going back and reviewing why we are where we are in the process.

Really helpful for note-taking and making sure you didn't miss any actions.

What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription and auto-categories are designed for sales, but I work in Customer Success. So it's not really an issue with the product, just something that is not perfectly suited to me!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing customer feedback and sharing it internally. Sharing best practice examples of meetings with our internal teams. Easily finding specific insights or actions through transcription.
Amazing software that I didn't realize I needed
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to easily edit and share clips of calls with clients and colleagues, or even rewatch them myself. I thought this would be the least used piece of software at my new employer but it's easily become my favorite.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish I could say something negative about Gong, but I have yet to have a negative experience. It syncs so well with all my systems and does everything I expected of it and more! I suppose the "worst" thing is that it's voice-to-text feature isn't perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows me to train myself to be better at my job by giving me the ability to watch all my colleague's calls. It's efficient - as I can speed through it or read a transcript.
