Great tool for capturing insights on Zoom calls

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can capture a call, have it transcribed, jump around to key point in the call, and attach notes on important points made during the call to share with others. Being able to share snippets of calls with others is also a great feature. Lastly, the insights that you can get from a call automatically, such as spending too much time talking and not enough listening or using certain key words too much or not enough can help in coaching teams on how to improve their call process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The transcription can certainly use some work as I have found many instances of incorrect interpretations of key words that significantly change the understanding of the conversation or the ability to search and find what you are looking for across a series of calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Taking better notes is where Gong really shines. I have been able to quickly follow up on a previous call as a reminder of specifics that were discussed or go back and watch calls to catch up on an account of which I was not involved previously and to fill gaps on notes that were provided to me.

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to review and breakdown my colleagues and my own performance on calls with clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too many downsides! It would be great if it could record calls that were not on zoom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality of conversation on the phone, sales tactics, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
The transcripts are really helpful. Of course they don't get everything right 100% of the time, but they are pretty dang good. That's helpful for scanning through long calls or finding specific items of interest. I also really like seeing the communications between accounts/contacts in a timeline view, it helps piece together sales that went well, or customer relationships that are going well (or aren't, whichever the case may be.)
But definitely I think that the transcripts and being able to search for certain terms or topics across all calls is my favorite piece. The topics/trackers seem pretty intelligent too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish it was easier to search/filter by date. Or that there was some easy way to get alerts when a competitor or keyword is mentioned several times in a call, rather than having to go in regularly and search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I know Gong is geared toward sales teams, but as a product marketer I can say it's an invaluable tool for me as well. Gone are the days of waiting for sales reps to (maybe) mention some new tidbit a prospect mentioned about a competitor. Gone are the days of having to clear out time in my schedule to try and always jump on sales calls to gauge how prospects react to new messaging or product features (don't get me wrong, live calls definitely have their place, but it's so much easier to listen to calls on my own time!) Being able to search for conversations about a competitor or specific topic is great and saves me so much time hunting.
Also, it has made collaboration so much easier between teams. Now I don't have to reach out to customer marketing + an AE + customer service to see what interactions they've had with an account, I can quickly see all the history in one place. That way I don't have to rely on someone else's notes that might have missed something. It's a lot easier to "pass the baton" between teams.

Support knowledge base could be more intuitive; I have to use our CSM for basic customization.

What do you like best about the product?
I like best that I don't have to take any meeting notes and get all the analytics directly after finishing my call. I can listen to others' colleagues' calls to learn and improve
What do you dislike about the product?
the Search interface is a bit messy when you want to search for a specific account

I can really listen to my clients without being afraid of forgetting what they said. I can tailor my sales steps better and pitch more specific

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Gong is that getting access to it doesn't mean you have to be a recording user. You can be a non-recording user as well. Just listen to the required calls and act where needed.
It is very helpful in coaching the new Joiners in the organization. It has various useful insights that hardly any tools have.
It is a great competitor.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I do not like about Gong is that it charges a fee or sets a limit to non-recording users as well.
There are competitors that do not have any limit or charge on the count of non-recording users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coaching the new joiners is one of the main problems. Offline training helps but actually listening to the calls and understanding how others crack deals is a lot more productive.

What do you like best about the product?
I think I worked backwards from how a lot of companies discover the full functionality of GONG. It seems most of the stories are sales found GONG and other departments realized there were so many additional benefits. In our case, I sought out GONG looking for an effective and efficient solution for our legal and compliance department to strengthen our call compliance monitoring. The old model of just filling a room full of people listening for calls hoping to catch the right calls at random just doesn't work anymore. I love data and require it in everything I do from forecasting, to testing processes and procedures, to the more simple and mundane tasks and having people spend days just listening, waiting for someone to make a mistake in order to get feedback that would allow us to improve, show consistency in our dedication to compliance all while trying to figure out the right formulary or calls that must be listened to in order have a good enough sample size that would be indicative of our company's call performances and script adherence and overall compliance - is not data I can align myself with or put my name behind. I not only need data, but I need THE BEST, most accurate data! Gong has enabled me to curate the data I need from our customer facing calls, from the easy stuff to average call times, to a more complicated data set that also facilitates the closest thing to live monitoring we can have - I set risk parameters and if a call every says a word or a combination of words that we should never be saying, it can send me an email right as it happens or at the end of the day/week depending on the setting I choose based off of risk. This is not just for sales but a robust call compliance system to ensure adherence to our dedication to World Class Customer Service while operating in a heavily regulated industry. As a benefit to Gong helping me achieve our Legal and Compliance objectives, it will benefit our sales, analytics, opps, and customer experience teams just as much.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have tens of thousands of hours in our call bank and I am still not able to utilize topics. There are inconsistent data points of when topics should populate. One place says a couple of hundred calls, once says a couple of hundred hours, our rep says thousands of hours, yet we have tens of thousands of call hours and nothing. Without being able to discover topics, I feel like we should get a discount because the tool is not fully functional.

I love that I can go back and listen to calls. I like to see what I do well and also what I can improve upon.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I have issues sharing calls internally. It doesn't let me send them to people without licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unqualified opps, finding new deals with co-selling

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about GONG is having the recording and transcript available to refer weeks or months after the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes struggle with setting up someone else's invite to record via gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps record what was said and can even listen for keywords that are important like thoses we are focused on in our sales process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't just use it for external calls.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Gong allows you to view your conversation stats and points of interest. It provides valuable insight that leads to results.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of some of the transcriptions as I feel a few words are inaccurate, but this is usually a rare occurrence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm becoming more calculated with my future conversations by focusing my calls around more essential points of interest. I've realized the statistical benefit of pauses during conversations rather than rushing into another topic.
