Since I'm able to see the top performers Gong calls and since I'm new to sales, I've been able to become a better talker and ask prospects better questions

What do you like best about the product?
Things that I like:
- The transcription quality is good enough. Our team benchmarked the software against Google and AWS, and we found out that Gong uses their proprietary transcription software. And it looks like Gong's transcription software has been trained mainly on meeting recordings (zoom) and on telephone calls.
- The video playback feature in Gong is enjoyable to use. They have features like highlighting works as the speaker talks, seeing each speaker's talk tracks below the player, speed control up to 2.5x for the playback, and a way to minimize the video view to the bottom right of the screen.
- Gong allows you to watch an ongoing call from the dashboard through their join ongoing calls feature, where you can watch and listen to a meeting without ever joining it.
- Gong is able to record from several meeting softwares like Google Meets and Zoom.
- There is an assistant feature which automatically looks at your calls to see if you mention any follow up to clients and prospects. This is very cool but it's from the main UI so I don't use it that much.
- Gong allows you to set your own custom trackers which are sets of words that you want to track across your teams calls.
- You can share your calls with prospects and clients via the public link sharing feature. This shared link has a search feature and a good video player.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things I dislike:
- I hate their display of upcoming calls. It's a pain to navigate, and there are no additional details on the upcoming calls. You would think Gong would show the meeting details, especially when you're working with your team and organization, but they don't!
- Your historical recorded calls are not valuable. Gong does not allow you to assign speakers to calls that you upload to their system. It will automatically assign the speakers as "Phone caller #1" / #2 / #3, etc. All recorded calls before you start using Gong, and any call the Gong recorder does not join (happens a lot) will not be assigned to a team member.
- Gong will not record the calls if you do not have a meeting link in your calendar invites. Gong searches your calendar to find out which meetings to join. You can manually save the meeting link and time to Gong's call dashboard to ensure. We have an automated booking system that sends our team the meeting link via email, so we MANUALLY have to enter all our meeting links to Gong.
- There is a recorded call library feature where you can save clips and or full calls to folders. The functionality is quite limited, it doesn't have a intuitive drag and drop you'd expect from file management and there is no way to share the call folders outside of Gong (we wanted to create a FAQ playlist and share multiple calls at once).
- Gong's API is very limited. You can retrieve transcripts, users and call recordings. They have a
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Gong to do three things:
- Record our user interviews from our product team
- Record any introductory calls with prospective clients (we don't have any follow-up calls since our service is transactional)
- Facilitate coaching of our team since our service is coaching based on zoom
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You're not going to get that much support from their team. Our account manager left six months after we started the software. It seemed like they were trying to do too much. I would have preferred to have had a completely unmanaged account where you just pay for the seats.

Gong- Bringing Analytics to the Sales Process

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to review calls, see talking minutes to determine prospect engagement, and the ability to leave and review comments. Gong is a wonderful tool to grow sales acumen and sharpen my listening skills. The ability to hear what my colleagues are saying on their calls allows me to take phrases or explanations and make them my own. Overall, this is a very well thought out tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
Since I didn't have a formal training, some things are still a little confusing to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using analytics to determine why we are winning or losing deals. Additionally, it's a great way to collaborate on calls and learn more about other team members' deals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a well-thought-out tool. We have been so pleased as an organization having it.

It identifies the speaker and types in all your comments. Give you a copy of the video file

not so much anything to dislike. I am liking almost every feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This files in your call histories with the client. You can view it later if you have missed the discussion.

Easy to use the search functionality to pinpoint exact points of the conversation
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, it can be a bit overwhelming, but with a little practice, you will be a pro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Finding where reps lose the client. Benifits are a great as it allows me to reward/call out good behaviors

Geat tool, once you get the hang of it, you will find yourself using it daily

What do you like best about the product?
I like the insights gong gives you and the little tips and tricks included on each call recordings
What do you dislike about the product?
I have an issue with the wait time for call recordings I'm hoping they can speed this up in the future sometimes it takes up to 3 hours.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me send recordings of Demos to prospects. It saves me time and helps me with self coaching and reviewing calls
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this tool if you are a manager or an AE who needs to keep track of their deals / opprotunities

What do you like best about the product?
Gong makes my job 10X easier. I can play back my calls and use the transcript for my notes. Really easy to use, great for coaching purposes too! I love how I can search for a keyword and listen back to parts of my call!

There is nothing I dislike about Gong, it is amazing!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Listening to other reps calls for coaching and training purposes. I have ramped up so quickly within my new role as a result.
