Gong is easy to use and a valuable part of my tech stack to do my job
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the automatically generated content, like the highlights, action items, and transcript. I am a PMM and rely on the recordings of my conversations with customers for case studies or other content interviews, and Gong's features help me ensure I don't miss any key details or highlights. I also use Gong regularly to review sales calls to check in on messaging adoption and evaluate what seems to resonate with prospects. Gong is easy to use. I have been using it for over 5 years across multiple orgs/roles and the new features that get added are always spot on.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to be nitpicky, it would be about the search. Sometimes I am looking for a keyword in call transcripts, and the transcription will have spelled the word wrong or mistyped it entirely, usually this happens with proper nouns. Again, being very picky here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is providing complete transcripts for me in addition to generating call highlights. These highlights are beneficial to me for pulling out key information from calls and making sure nothing is being missed

Gong engage offers real added value to my day-to-day sales work, with a very fluid UX and very useful functions (AI, to-do, automatic reminders, etc.).

Some features are very much geared towards managers

Amazing for managing tons of meetings, whether you originally attended them or not!
What do you like best about the product?
I attend a LOT of customer meetings in support of a sales team as well as a product team, often with weeks or months in between. It's impossible to keep track of/remember everything discussed when it happened. Knowing that I have Gong running in the background of these meetings, I can confidently put my pen and notepad away, knowing that it will take more thorough notes during the meeting than I ever will and they are easily searchable.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is probably more of a gripe about how disorganized our own instance of Salesforce is, but sometimes it is very hard to pin down the exact accounts/contacts that I am looking for prior meetings on. Gong relies heavily on it's integration with SFDC, so Gong's hygiene is only as good as your SFDC hygiene, which can be a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking conversations with more clients than I could ever do on my own. Makes it so much easier to go back to discussions from months ago and catch myself back up on everything we talked about. It's also extremely useful for going back and listening/searching transcripts for meetings that I was not able to attend. Less information lost between sales reps talking me through a recap vs. reading/listening to what actually happened.

Can't really "Bucket" prospects which can make it difficult to organize a large prospect base.

What do you like best about the product?
The summary and highlights are great and allow me to take on calls with partners with confidence and insight from our previous conversation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like Gong to integrate with some of our tech stack like Tableau allowing response emails to have data to support next steps
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps address the issue of misinterpreting information received from partners. The call summaries provide clear insights into partner needs and outline the next steps discussed, enabling effective follow-through from both sides.
Gong has given our marketing team a front-row seat for every sales call
What do you like best about the product?
Having the ability now to watch real sales conversations rather than getting second hand information from a sales rep on what a prospect has said has been an absolute game changer for me and my marketing team. We can now get first hand insights into the language prospects use and context around their specific use cases for our product, giving us a better ability to translate this insight into messaging and marketing strategies that resonate with our ICP.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've sometimes found it difficult to search for and find specific calls some of our sales team have spoken about. Or to pick out sales calls versus client calls - However, that might be an issue with how we are using it or tagging up calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me and my marketing team it is helping us be directly "in the room" for each and every sales conversation, giving us first hand information to build a picture of what it is that prospects are looking for and what they want. With this info we can develop better marketing and more tailored messaging that is super aligned to our ICP.

Incredible easy to use. Very precise notes, ability to search keywords of call recordings

Occasionaly not precise transcripts, but that is understandable considering not native speakers etc. using the tool.

Saving time for meeting notes, meeting managements, information gathering, recording
The essential sales tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I cannot imagine doing a sales job ever again without Gong. Game-changer! The AI question tool for when I need an answer on an account or a specific phone-call makes my life so much easier - no more scanning transcripts and saves me so much time!

Really, nothing! Gong is very intuitive.

`I no longer need to manually write up notes following phone calls, and it helps me easily scan email activity and timelines across all accounts, team-wide.

Hard to say - the AI feature to ask anything, love the recap email AI can throw together. The ability to ask AI questions.

AI could be better! More accurate, more consultative
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an SMB rep, sometimes it's so easy to forget exactly what's going on with each different account. With Gong, it's so easy to go in and ask exactly what's going on with your deal, where's the risk at. It helps me get up to speed and also points out things I may not have known already.
