Decent transcript, downloads very quickly
What do you like best about the product?
I like how quickly it works and as long as you're pulling clear speakers, it works well. I think the platform is pretty intuitive and easy to understand outside of what I mention below. I like that it shows you the speaker's name and title and where they speak within the transcript which is helpful to grab as I write out content. I haven't seen this feature on other platforms so I appreciate that. It also pulls out keywords and phrases throughout the transcript so this is helpful if you're writing about a particular thing and to quickly find within the work and get a quick grasp about the majority of topics that are being discussed. It also allows the information to be presented in a variety of different formats such as presentation, system, and with or without the camera and allows you to pick a specific speaker to listen to and pick out of the group if you need just their quote.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are pulling a transcript and a person on the script isn't a native English speaker, the script will come out all wrong. I have done two different interviews now (one a native German speaker and one a native French speaker) and both I had to completely rewrite. I also have yet to figure out how to download a transcript which I think should be a very easy thing. I had to go in and copy and paste it myself. A couple of times the platform has frozen or skipped and I have had to refresh and refind my location, which can be annoying. The interface is almost a little too busy, in my opinion and can be a little confusing the first time you use it for this reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong is great when you quickly need a transcript and don't have time or money to pay for a human translator. I have used it a few times and in general, am pretty happy with it. But you get what you pay for (or don't pay for) and the machine pull is never quite as good as a human. The benefits include quickness, free, easy to use and general quality. Gong helps out team work quickly and efficiently and deliver content on time to our clients.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, really. The AI and the speech-to-text aren't perfect, but that's not a dislike. It's not like anyone else has a better version of them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to learn from my interactions and plan for the next ones. This leads to a better understanding of my customer and prospect interactions, as well as better preparation for the next ones.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Reviewing your calls as a rep allows you to learn from your converations. But what's unique about it is that it's not just learning from your performance. It also gives you a chance to reevaluate your customers and prospects. I can't imagine being a sales rep without the ability to go back and review calls both for improved performance and planning for future conversations.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I also like that it helps me prep for calls, I can see key words so that I know what we discussed.

What do you like best about the product?
The call analytics are pretty amazing. They have opened my eyes to multiple things that I never knew I did. Some good, some bad :) I also like the ability to be able to see how I stack up to othere members of my team and department.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know whether I would consider this a "dislike," but there is a tremendous amount of transparency across the team. I believe it is ultimately a good thing, but it's a little weird to have anyone at the company see all your metrics, listen to call recordings, etc. Again, I think that rather than a "dislike," it is more of an adjustment.
One thing that I would defintiely consder a dislike is how slooooow Gong is to load certain pages. I could easily hit refresh on our team page and come back 8-15 seconds later and it would have jsut loaded. If it is going to be slow to load (I understand there is a considerable amount of data). than provide us with a single dashboard that helps to encompass everything on one screen. Right now you have to go to Team, Home (to see upcoming), analytics, etc.
The support bot is pretty useless. I tried using that at one point and really got nowhere. That was pretty discouraging.

I have been in my current role for quite some time now and would consider myself pretty knowledgeable. However, as a result, I tend to talk pretty quickly and maybe not let conversations breathe the way I should. Gong makes sure to point that out. Another thing that I have found to be pretty cool is the ability to almsot use Gong as a competition amongst team members to have more calls during the week.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To consider the transparency of the tools. I think it is ultimately a good thing but an adjustment.

I love how you can search in the call to see how many times you mentioned certain words and also the team watch aspect. It makes it easier for training.
What do you dislike about the product?
No much, can't think of any. Overall a great service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping me get my close rate up! In team meetings, we can dissect any call and find out why something did or didn't close.

Gong is great not just for listening to sales calls but for training new starters remotely.

- Able to train new sales starters remotely when they're unable to shadow colleagues physically.
- Able to filter calls by specific words/phrases/topics to find the calls that need coaching on
- Links to the CRM so can search for calls by vertical or industry for precise coaching

What do you like best about the product?
Going back and taking notes on things I missed in a discussion.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing at this point that I dislike about Gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm solving problems with identifying both specific and subtle pain points for potential prospects.
Transparency AND Insights! This is the best tool for any customer facing tool

I love that the call is transcribed and I can search by keywords used within the calls to find answers quickly

I can now pay 100% attention to my clients on calls because the call is recorded and transcribed. If I ever need to learn more about a certain process I can do a keyword search and find calls with similar topics to listen to
Great Training Tool + More!
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to listen to my own calls and picking up on things I can improve. I like listening and learning from my team's calls. I also enjoy being able to refer back to my meetings for action items and not have to worry about taking notes during a meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I hate hearing my own voice and knowing that my team can see me when/if I make a mistake... but that's a personal problem, not a Gong problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can now remain a present and active listener during my meetings without having to worry about taking notes. Also, being able to listen to my team's meetings and seeing how they handle objections is very helpful.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong allows for much insight into your calls and how to improve. The option to read your call instead of listening also speeds up call reviews and saves you from hearing your own voice. Instant insights such and % talk time and call scoring make learning strengths and weaknesses easy. I also love the ability to simply tag whoever you want to listen to your call as opposed to sending them an email. Would recommend this for any ORG making calls!
What do you dislike about the product?
The upload speed of the calls sometimes takes longer than I want but not the end of the world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning more about the way I call and what to change also being able to review calls from other successful teammates makes learning from the best easy and encouraged.
