Surpassed all expectations!
What do you like best about the product?
Overall I like the simplicity of being able to gather call data, and centralize it into one UI. Previously we were fragmented across Salesloft, Zoom, and an internal tool. It is really easy to use, and once configured correctly we have no worries around enabling/disabling recording.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some sections of the documentation that were a bit outdated since they moved from an old school zoom integration to a Native Zoom integration. While the documentation was a bit confusing, our AM was amazing and responsive as we were getting things up and running.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we wanted to solve was recording all calls for call coaching, with an emphasis on discovery calls to understand early deal mechanics to adjust our early sales strategy. Very quickly we found that our cross functional peers were keen to listen to calls as well, since there was a desire to hear the voice of the customer. Very quickly they became invested in the tool, and love the ability to hear the exact phrasing customers use when describing problems as they think about roadmap and material production.

What do you like best about the product?
Interactivity Metrics. Automated email alerts with suggested calls to review. People Timelines- show how many people within an account we are engaged with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some inconsistency with Gong automatically joining calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to scale coaching efforts and review calls faster at increased speed.
Get rid of FOMO in calls

No need to worry about missing something in the calls.
No need to take notes and it allows to focus on the call than writing the notes

Current Integrations are good, but need more integrations and also the flexibility to automatically add Zoom meetings using a Gong add-on in Zoom and google calendar.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meeting notes and having a history of recordings and also the best part transcripts.

It is truly a game changer for sales teams. It provides a ton of value.
For anyone in Sales Management or an Executive level role...this is a, "Must have"!

What do you like best about the product?
Transcripts to point out specifics really helps coach my team.
The data around talk time to listening ratio.
We can track specific words/ value props to see how team presents them and use best practices across the team, and to collate product feedback/ requests.
Also allows AEs to listen to their own calls to gain perspective on where they can improve, where they are strong. Sharing calls across the team and doing pitch hot seats are a great exercise.

What do you dislike about the product?
Can be challenging to manage alerts/ tools. I think an in depth manager training would have been helpful. Our AEs also had one training, but remaining sessions were cut due to Covid. Would like to schedule again so we can get their buy in on using Gong to the max.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making our teams pitch most effective. Also solving for product requests, confirming the team is talking about initiatives on all calls via tracking phrases or key words.
I never expected Gong to be as helpful as it is!
What do you like best about the product?
My favorite thing about Gong is the ability to search a transcript for a word that will bring me right to the point of the conversation I need to look back on. Sometimes I do take notes but maybe I remember the client said something about "baseball" that I want to reference on a follow up email. I can easily find a statement or comment that was not intended to have much meaning. By mentioning what was likely a passive reference shows very active listening.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how choppy and staticky the prompt is. It is great to have the prompt as it is a built in ice-breaker for a new call!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Gong has solved for me is awareness. The stats that are measure have become a sort of game for me. I make a point to pause and ask for any questions more frequently (to avoid too long a monologue). Also I now make a concerted effort to pause before speaking once the client is done speaking.

Use it heavily during the trial - it is AMAZING

Gong is a great sales tool that let Sales Executives and Teams its calls and it can benefit the organization in several ways such as improving the sales pitch and as a training material.

I don't like the way it records the meetings by having an additional participant

Gong is a great way to review your sales efforts and create a more scalable sales organization. It allows a single executive on the team to review its calls or to create a peer review systems, there are many ways that you could use it.

I love being able to determine where and what went wrong on the call to better understand the selling process, objections, and getting better results.

Honestly, nothing really. This product has helped me so much!

Closing ratios increasing, understanding selling better, understanding need for product, better questions to ask.
