A mirror for my sales technique and process
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to review my calls and see the areas in which I can improve or alter. Additional the ability to review my peer's calls and pull from their process, verbiage, and technique.
What do you dislike about the product?
The voice to text capability needs improvement. when reviewing the text from calls, it's hard to discern what is being said at times. this then requires an audio/video review that is otherwise more time-intensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to fine-tune my technique and process, as well as being able to hear and see what is and is not working for my peers. Gong has removed the barrier of learning from your peers that is indicative of remote sales roles.
User friendly way to get insights and transparency into sales
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to find the exact portion of the call that you're looking to get insight on is super efficient. Skipping ahead based on who's talking, searching transcripts is easy, and filtering is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything yet that I dislike, it's been a great experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Product Marketer, it can be hard to get insights into the sales process by scheduling live shadowing for sales calls, but being able to find the exact portion I'm looking for and go on demand makes the learning process really efficient and effective.
A great way to capture the content of the meeting with accuracy without distractions during it.
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to review what was actually said in the meeting and capture points that I initially missed. Or getting to sit on a meeting that you did not have the chance to sit in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Video/audio quality and the delay in the video availability. It's also hard to find some things intuitively, such as participants' emails.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to share meetings in full context rather than just reviewing or sending someone meeting minutes that may or may not be accurate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's certainly worthwhile. There are the obvious use-cases, but over time you can see how it pays dividends in many other locations.
Great tool for recapping sales calls easily
What do you like best about the product?
I like the way Gong creates a transcript of each call, makes it very easy to go through the conversation without having to listen to the call. Listening to calls can be time consuming but reading through the convo is very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the tips after each call seem to be not very useful, like interactivity for example. Sometimes the customer monopolizes time, sometimes they don't talk at all. Averages are useful at times but they are not everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording calls and going through them in the transcript, recapping calls. Makes it very easy to find a specific section in the call, whereas rewinding or forwarding the audio.
Great for learning and training
What do you like best about the product?
I use it to look up calls on clients I'll be working with. I'm also curious to learn about what my colleagues are doing that allows them to be successful in their business interactions. It's easy to search the platform by company name or keyword. The transcripts feature is definitely useful to pick up on certain words or topics that may not sound clear in the meeting. I would recommend Gong to other professional organizations looking to train and coach their employees. I used the tool as part of my onboarding, training and even currently now that I'm actively engaging clients. I also really like the "add to library" option so I can go back and listen to calls I find useful and interesting to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was easier to view the screen of the person sharing theirs when a presentation is given. I have to constantly use the full screen mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong allows me to research accounts I'm working with. I can listen to past interactions to learn about my clients business, what they are working on and where we can potential help them. Using the tool I can listen to other team members conversations and learn about what market trends are discussed, which selling techniques work for them and how to become better at closing deals. The fact that I can go back and listen to my own calls is very useful so I can make my calls more productive, improve my sales pitch, and be able to help the incoming new team members. Overall I'm very satisfied with using the Gong tool and plan to use it more in the future.
Effective, useful & easy to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
I like that all correspondence is captured and organized in one place. From a CSM perspective, this is really useful when joining new accounts/ reviewing & keeping track of client interactions & being able to deliver strategic and great client service.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform works really well - there is room for slight improvement in terms of the search functionality (could be a little more comprehensive when using the search bar). I didn't receive formal training (which isn't really necessary because the platform is easy to use), but pop up prompts could be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have recently joined my company and Gong has made remote training incredibly seamless because listening to calls has been a really effective way to learn. Additionally, as I receive my book of clients, I have been able to get up to scratch really easily, independently and proactively.
Gong does a great job of allowing me to pinpoint exactly what I want to listen to during calls.

I really like the transcript it provides and also options to speed up

It doesn't upload calls in time and sometimes take a few hours

A virtual sales coach!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how much analytics you get with Gong. Absolutely amazing technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the "live listen" worked smoother with screensharing. It seems very choppy/not stable when joining a live call.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote sales onboarding, ongoing sales training, call shadowing, objection handling, talk ratios, question asking.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While pricey, Gong is well worth the cost. This is a must-have for any sales org and helps extremely in a remote environment.
great tool for coaching
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to review calls, search by keywords and monitor trends to best coach reps to be successful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not really anything that I can point to that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to coach reps and help take best practices and apply them across the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely purchase it! The insights that I have been uncovering from the platform are outstanding. It is giving me the opportunity to dig into rep performance and engagements with prospects to help build out best practices for the future.
Great way to onboard remote employees
What do you like best about the product?
Gong has made it easier for me to learn my company's software by reviewing all types of calls within the company. I can track, save and review calls for training rather than bothering my coworkers all day with questions. Gong makes it simple to find calls related to companies that are in my account or related topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The keyword search functionality does not always pull the results I am looking for. A call title search would be easier than a keyword search as the keywords run through many different calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps keep our team on track and helps create transparency and alignment between sales, CSM, Implementation. It has been the single resource for me to get onboarded as quickly as I can as a remote employee.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't just consider Gong as a Sales resource, it can be used for many other purposes. It is a great way to onboard remote employees, especially with much of the world being remote now.
