What do you like best about the product?
The stats they provide are amazing. Interactivity, patience, longest monologue, etc. It really makes sales folk reflect on their calls. They also mention optimum values which gives users an indicator of where they lack and what they need to do to improve their pitch.
Gong also shows which of your deals/prospects are actually interacting with you- reading emails, etc. This is amazing because it helps me concentrate on prospects that are actually interested and help tremendously with forecasting.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a lot to dislike. The user experience can be a little difficult to work around but once you've used it a couple of times you won't find it hard to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a salesperson, I used to go on and one and barely allowed my prospect to speak. With the stats from Gong, I've made my calls more conversational. Thanks to Gong I've made it more of a 2-way dialogue than a monologue.
I also look at the deals section to understand which of my accounts are active which helps me forecast much more accurately!

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I am not involved with the budgets/finance side of things and I've heard that it is a bit pricy. But if you can afford it, go for it. You will definitely not regret it.
Also, make sure you/your sales team use it actively. It's one of those tools that can be super effective if used correctly but will not yield any results if not used well.

Gong is great. It allows me to learn from the top AE's at my company through their recorded calls
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can easily view call recordings from other sales reps at my company. This allows me to learn from them without having to sit on every single one of their calls in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is tough to set up for each call. There always is confusion from the customer when they join a call that we're recording for Gong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem I've seen is that it has been tough to get others to record their calls, it's been tough to build a rich library of recorded calls at my company. The benefits that I've realized include being able to listen to others' talk tracks to help my sales cycles.

I can re-listen , look up and find important details I need to plan my next move with a client.

There is not too much downside to Gong. Only issue is maybe some of the transcriptions and words get mixed up.

The biggest benefit is to hear my self back and learn how to craft talk tracks better.
Great product - helps with training
What do you like best about the product?
The tags in the recordings are helpful. They can help you understand and quickly go back to key parts of the video without having to hunt for it yourself.

Seems to always log me out even when I'm using it. Wish I could have the option to stay logged in.

Recording sales calls for training and to help our opps team know exactly what was promised and said to potential clients.

Great for reviewing calls for training and post call note taking. Very strong transcript feature which is helpful for searching through calls for specific areas of conversation

Very occasionally calls do not record but this is rare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversation items that get missed at point in time can be picked up post call (Especially where taking notes impacts concentration during call)

What do you like best about the product?
Super user friendly. Great insights post-call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recording in the beginning telling customers they're being recorded. It's klunky and seems unprofessional depending on the context of the call. Please optimize that alert!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer insights /w other teams, sales insights, shared learnings, efficiency when you can't make a call - you can read the transcript or listen to the call.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is very user friendly and is a very innovative product. Its a great way to learn and perform better in Sales and Customer Success. I love the feature that transcribes your words after the meeting has ended. It is easier to read the key points of a meeting rather than having to listen to the whole thing again if you are short on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything that comes to mind that is a dislike. Perhaps a less annoying sound when notetaker enters into the room.

Notetaker, sales call reviews, reminders for future meetings, transcriptions, meeting data.

Great tool for real insights from real conversations
What do you like best about the product?
Due to COVID-19 it has been difficult for us to spread the knowledge of whats working In this remote environment. Our wins are being done in silos and it is difficult to get feedback on our calls as we are no longer in the same room with each other. As a Sales Development Representative, Gong is a great tool for getting feedback on my cold calls from my manager and see how other reps differ in their approach. I also use it for note taking purposes as I can go back and get information I couldn't pick up the first time around during our external calls. I am able to take more detailed notes, and then use those notes to widen our footprint within each accounts. The transcript function works great, it allows me to control - f to find key points when I want to go back and look for specific points the prospect was talking about. It is also nice that it can separate who is talking so I know when to skip around and focus on when the prospect is talking rather than if I or my Account executive is.
What do you dislike about the product?
No outstanding issues with Gong at the moment,I am happy with my experience thus far. Sound quality and UI are better than other recording tools out there. However I am an end user with only limited permissions, mainly focus on recording for cold calls, recording external meetings, and coaching and development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Especially in this remote environment with all that is going on right now due to COVID-19, giving feedback on calls is important as we are no longer making them in the same room. It has allowed us to make improvements as a team overall in our cold calling skills. Gong has helped us make specific coaching improvements to different reps on our team, allowing them to develop their skills further and hone down our messaging down to persona, industry, authority level, etc. Our product team also likes Gong as it allows them to get real time feed back from customers. It gives insights about what they like about our platform, it tells us what they do not like, it tell us what problems prospects are facing so they can help direct where they want to go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Gong is only as good as the work you put into it, for you to get the most value out of gong make sure your reps are using the recording functions to its fullest extent and that your leadership and managers are checking the recordings on a regular basis. it is also good for your reps to get in a daily habit of looking back at their recordings so they can understand how they sound on the other end.

Listening to previous calls before follow up calls to bring me back to where we left off.
What do you dislike about the product?
That it actually says "this call is being recorded". Sometimes catches people off-guard.

Tons of sales training. Listening to people's sales pitches and objection handling.

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is incredibly useful. One of the best tools we have. Great for feedback, roundtable discussions about pitches, and for accountability and transparency.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dictation to the written transcript is really off. Needs to be improved as it's hard to try and read when half of the words are incorrect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to hear other team members pitches, being able to listen to my own calls and improve, being able to listen to my calls with my manager and discuss strategies around it.
