Gong is GREAT
What do you like best about the product?
the best part of Gong is the machine learning that starts to understand your products, pain points, competitors, etc. I like that you can search for these themes and find examples in any call in the app. Its great for feedback and learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really not much, i think its sometimes difficult to search now taht you have the emails in there now too not just the calls, but i like that feature as well, so im not sure if its a dislike just an adjustment
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onboarding problems - it solves fthe pain of having to sit in on calls with reps to onboard. now you can listen at your own time, follow an entire sales cycle in a single sitting, and fast forward/pin themes/etc.

Very straightforward to use, and helpful to our entire team to ensure we are speaking at the highest level of excellence to provide the best conversation to our partners.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was a little confused on how to navigate around the platform at first, but then we had a coaching conversation with one of your administrators which was very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to listen to good and bad calls alike, then improve our conversation tracks based on the debates we have in each call.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It take a little while to figure out some of the different tools, but once you mess around with it, it becomes an extremely helpful platform in all areas of your business.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a better way to group accounts. Sometimes there will be 2 or 3 different Gong records that pop up when I do a search .

Winning more deals, shortening sales cycles, improving team performance

I would recommending using the tags. This is super useful when you want to use it for enablement down the road.
This might be a "nice to have" for a small sales organization of only a few reps. You could say the most value would get is just being able to focus on your demo and be able to re-listen to takes notes later, identify areas for improvement, and maybe doing some call review with your director later in the sales cycle.
I would say Gong becomes very valuable as soon as you have a BDR team. How else will you be able to make sure that you understand what was said leading up to your initial touch point with the prospect? Many times times the BDR might not even know something said was important but this way you'll never miss anything.
If you're running an accounts based organization this is a must have. The fact of the matter is that notes are difficult to understand and you are wasting sales cycles if you're not collecting that data in Gong to be able to come back to win those deals later down the road.

IT Admins Will Appreciate
What do you like best about the product?
The admin portal is simple and clean. I love the way users are organized by their manager. As an IT Admin I appreciate when tool's admin pages are intuitively configured so that it doesn't take a lot of thinking to get where you need to go. Gong's admin portal is clean and simple to figure out. There are other tools I use where finding the things I need can be a real hassle and even sometimes require a Google search. With Gong, you can log in for the first time and easily find what you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want our sales team to be better informed on how to remove Gong from Zoom calls they should not be in so I, as an IT Admin, don't have to try figuring it out myself then training them. Gong has automatically recorded meetings that upset business partners. They said they would not do business with us if we recorded meetings without their consent. This was purely a training issue. Finding the videos was a little bit difficult. I am not super familiar with Gong yet but I found the video, then deleted it but if we searched for it, we found it elsewhere. I was just confused by this because I know I deleted the video wherever I had found it originally. But search results found it saved elsewhere on the site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Gong to import sales calls. For me, an IT Admin, it's helpful to have a simple tool that we can rely on to help our Sales org. It connects to SalesForce seamlessly and updates automatically when changes are made.

Great tool for coaching, personal growth and solution design
What do you like best about the product?
Gong makes reviewing calls simple and easy. I really enjoy the coaching features and feel like it has accelerated my growth in sales. I also really like how I can reference conversations to help me not skip a beat with my prospects in follow up meetings. Our solutions can be complex so it's nice to have a reference just to remember everything that folks are asking for. It's also great to look at the activity I've had over the course of weeks and months to see if I'm meeting my goals from that standpoint. Additionally, I've found that the voice
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little awkward at the start of some calls to share that calls are being recorded. Would be great to have an opt-in feature at the start of the call that's automated. This would be a prompt that would not allow folks to join the call until they've accepted. Not having to verbally say this would be ideal. Also, sometimes the recording doesn't always get added to some calls even though I'd like it to. It would be nice to be able to manually add the recording in the midst of calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong comes in handy with solution design. Based on the volume of calls that I have, it's tough to remember all of the elements of the solution that I need be thinking through. By listening to some of the calls, it's helped me truly understand what my prospects are looking to accomplish. This makes for better deals and sales that provide more value to everyone.
