Critical to personal efficiency

What do you like best about the product?
I am a power user of the "transcribe" feature, and I enjoy the flexibility around sharing only snippets of calls with clients. Key for privacy.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been several bugs or hiccups I have encountered where a call doesn't record.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I no longer have to take tedious meeting notes- when I am on calls, I can actually focus on the conversation at hand and not have to worry about remembering every tiny detail.

What do you dislike about the product?
Gong is a fantastic application, only thing I don't like about it is there is no slide bar for the call like a video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recording calls for Auditing and determining client needs.

Gong is a must-have

  • July 27, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
Gong allows me to supplement my note-taking with data driven recordings, and being able to listen to other team members' calls is an absolute life saver for the new remote lifestyle. I have used it at multiple sales organizations, and at this point consider it as essential as email or a CRM.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only snags I've run into are when it doesn't automatically record because a team member originally scheduled the call, and that team member didn't have their account sync properly. (Pretty easy to fix those ad hoc at the beginning of a meeting, though)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to more fully participate in a natural conversation instead of trying to scribble down shorthand notes. I know I can always recheck facts after the call by listening to the recording, and I'm able to leverage the natural language data afterwards to better hone my selling skills.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Why are you still reading reviews? You should have bought Gong yesterday.

Needed now more than ever!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to automatically put calls into folders based on the call disposition. I can easily log into Gong and can listen to all of the calls that resulted in a meeting set. They are all organized into one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how long it takes for the call recording to populate. I wish it was faster. I might be nit picking a bit but sometimes it takes hours for the call recordings to show up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to listen to my team members calls so that I can give them coaching feedback. In the office I'm able to help my BDRs in real time, but with all of us working from home Gong allows me to still listen to what they are saying to prospects. Without Gong I wouldn't be able to coach my team and they wouldn't be able to sharpen their phone skills.

Amazing call partner

What do you like best about the product?
I can filter calls based on the hostname and listen to the calls of the most effective seller in my team and learn from it. Also, I can add a call to listen later. The transcript also really helps in reaching out to the right sentence and conversation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult to filter based on the attendee's name.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning from peers. Not to worry about taking notes and go back and listen to anything I missed understanding during the call.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make a library of useful videos to group together using #hashtags so that others can benefit from the recordings.

Gong is great product for coaching

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gong really makes it easy to coach reps on a daily basis. The new activity and deals features are a great addition to call recording functionality. I have used both Gong and Chorus and think that Gong is the better overall platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong really has everything that you need and more so there is not much to complain about. There are just some features that we do not use yet. For example, I would like to get better at using the feedback and coaching tools within the platform - they have scorecards and different ways to promote coaching but we have not leveraged those features yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong helps me as a Sales Manager as I can stay up to date on deals without having to do in-depth deal reviews on every opportunity. It also helps me provide more consistent feedback and coaching for my team.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Filler words is huge, listening skills to ensure you have a good talk time ratio, areas of improvement

Believe the Hype: It’s A Must Have

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-data and insights are superior to other tools
-deal intelligence is a substantial value
-they respond via roadmap quickly and are well-funded
What do you dislike about the product?
some missing low hanging fruit:
-would like to see trends in analytics for individuals/teams in charts
-deal intelligence is good, but needs better sorting functionality and integration with SFDC (in fairness we haven’t explored this as much as we should)
-I don’t see as much aggregated data as I would like re: their customer base

***I am told roadmap addresses the first and happy to he patient in the other 2***
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
-removing the “fog” of ground truth versus sale rep truth
-better visibility across all departments into what our customers are saying
-we on-boarded our entire CSM team 2 months into our term.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at new data you are getting that isn’t just sitting in SFDC or any other “data lake.”
