What do you like best about the product?
Allows to quickly search by listing keywords in the call, which helps efficiently get to the heart of the call.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet at this point. Both the online and mobile versions are easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Eliminates having to search for calls. I can have gong send me calls based on my triggers, or my reps can send me the call directly for review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
try it, you'll like it.

Gong changes the game

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get up to speed on prospects and customers
Easy to tag key points in calls and share with others (sales, prod, cs, onboarding)
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love more feature functionality on the SFDC integration
One thing I think about is the amount of qualifying and consultative data gathering that we do on our calls. It would be incredible if Gong could help to pick up on those signals and populate data on the account or opportunity level in sfdc.

data entry is always the biggest hurdle in improving sales processes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
communication
training
deal strategy
self-improvement

Gong has been very insightful!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Gong is very easy to use, with insightful call analytics, and a ton of additional features I have not had the chance to dive into yet. It's very easy to review calls and communicate with others in my organization about specific questions or important points during a call. I also love that you can view a specific account and see all points of contact with them in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, I have had no challenges or points of friction. I have not used anything similar prior to using Gong, so I don't have too much of a reference point for any comparable platforms. I might not be the heaviest user of Gong, so I am unsure if there are any gaps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Gong as a BDR and in conjunction with our Account Executives when handing off prospects. It has allowed very clear communication during the handoff process and enabled us to review specifics so we are overall more prepared for the next step with a prospect.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Put some time into using Gong and I believe you will see a lot of benefits, insight, and help yourself progress in your calls.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can just tag my Manager and snip a section of the call I want him to Listen on to get some feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
not easy to search other reps recent calls, not easy to quickly find a call or filter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am getting better a Sales Rep, I can go and listen to other's reps call and look for soundbites that I will like to implement in my process.

  • November 01, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
The themes that you can skip to throughout the call, saves on writing everything down. Also helps to share snippets of that segment to customers / prospsects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The suggestions can sometimes be a little off, not allowing for phone delay etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internal coaching (taking the stats into consideration).
Having better follow ups with clients & shared responsibilities.
Learning from others (through shared calling).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start off with call reviews. Then listen to others - and then start using cues from others & your calls to help improve on your sales process.

Authentic Onboarding for AEs and SDRs

  • October 31, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Gong is that it's recording actual calls in real time. So a new AE or SDR can learn from the best in your company on a daily basis. As much as we like our Sales Bootcamps and onboarding materials, sellers like to learn from other sellers. And they can hear how the customer reacted and listen to how sales conversations unfold in the real world.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gong does require a cultural shift. We found that focusing on the benefit to our sellers, and how it can hel them get better helped. We did have one or two who did not want to be recorded, and we honored that. But by far the vast majority found the tradeoff well worthwhile because of how fast they can learn.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have new sellers shadow other sellers as part of their onboarding. This presented logistical challenges of being invited to their calls. Also it was hard to ensure they were learning from the most effective tenured sellers. Now new hires have an entire library right out of the gate, which we can pull from to create custom training like objection handling.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a trial with the sales team who is the most hard to please first. They will love being able to go back and listen to their own calls. Then have them sell it to the rest of the org for you. That will help you get past the "I don't want to be recorded" objection.
