SDR onboarding and coaching at scale
What do you like best about the product?
Gong allows me to onboard our SDRs faster with a library of our best calls and improves preparation for AE when they can follow all the calls down the pipeline. We've started using it for coaching on cold calls and it helps me listen to many more calls.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial learning of the really powerful features of Gong, like phrases, words, and alerts, can take a little while to master in your workflow. Our CSM has been awesome at helping but probably wouldn't be able to maximize it without his help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are onboarding our SDRs faster and have been able to do significantly more call coaching.

What do you like best about the product?
This is the tool I've relied on more than any other in my sales career. The breakdown it gives of different parts of the call, the ability to share with clients and reading the call transcripts to get instant info are invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Super nit picky - the word parsing isn't always reliable (as expected). Also, it signs you out of the app after being idle for over an hour (could be an SSO issue).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tons of time saved, really helped me personalize my conversations with prospects. It's been super helpful to collaborate with team members on next steps. Biggest benefit is having access to colleagues calls to be able to coach, pick up on new styles, etc.
Gong fan through and through
What do you like best about the product?
Gong makes my job SO MUCH easier. I can really tune in during discovery instead of being too busy taking notes to key in on important information/topics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I love Gong. I cannot think of anything I dislike.

Note-taking, call insights & sales coaching.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your homework. Make sure this is something your team needs (although, I'm sure all sales teams do).

This is the first place I've worked that used Gong but I can't imagine life without it.

Sometimes the recorder assistant doesn't join the call immediately?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to listen to every call, with a transcript and even share demo recordings with customers, so valuable.
Perfect for Sales Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Listening in on live calls is a great tool for reps in training and sales managers. I love the ability to filter calls based on Opp stages in CRM at the time of the call and current status. This allows me to zero in on calls that could be an effective training tool. For example, I might want to listen to a call that was in Discovery Stage, against a specific competitor and resulted in a closed one deal. I also love the ability to send recordings of calls or snippets!
What do you dislike about the product?
I cannot come up with anything I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaps in sales process. We've experienced accelerated sales cycles and deeper analytics that help us continue to improve our process.

What do you like best about the product?
Love getting immediate feedback on how to help improve my calls with prospects. I feel that I'm continually using the interaction stats to help me be better on the phone. I also appreciate that I can listen back to my call and tag a section to have my manager provide me feedback on what to improve on next. As well, enjoy listening to my teammate to pick up different talk tracks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish that the voice recording at the beginning of calls would not happen at the same time that my prospects speak... It can start a conversation off really awkward when you can't hear the person introduce themselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gong has helped me to understand how to more effectively communicate with my prospects and to have more patience. I realized that I say 'for sure' way too much! Appreciate the call out :)

Solid, functional product
What do you like best about the product?
The call review system is excellent and allows me to call out pain points and crutch words in my pitch

The transcript functionality is fairly inaccurate, but would be useful if improved

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can be fully IN conversations with clients and not focused on taking every last note on the call. I can have real interactions and then use gong for the business "stuff" after.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like Gong to identify clear follow-up actions. It does this now and I love it but a more advanced follow-up list would be GREAT!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Gong mainly to have better conversations with my clients and not have to focus so much on the notes of the call.

Great for onboarding & improving
What do you like best about the product?
It's such a powerful tool to ramp up yourself or help others onboard, highly recommend to any sales org. Also helps for ongoing development to improve your conversations with customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I need to log in to the app which requires an internet connection to listen to the calls I've downloaded. So even though I download them, I can't actually listen to them on the subway unless I login while I'm above ground. Also more features/automation for sending calls to the library would be nice, based on keywords or titles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onboarding, training, conversational improvements, increased patience, competitions with other reps, deal review, note-taking, note review, general sales improvements

It's generally really great, but I heard it's expensive so may want to comparison shop
